Briefs has reported incidents, for several years, of hard-working precinct committeemen being left off of flyers/mailers sent out to voters with a preferred PC list to vote for.  It’s known as “cleansing” or “purging” the grassroots conservatives out of leadership positions.  It lays the ground work for carrying the paper PC proxy to the county and state conventions where they can then control the election of new party officers.  Never mind, they are driving worker bees out. This year some of LD17 PC are targeted. Angi Stamm decided to expose what was happening in LD17 by preparing the flyer that Briefs posted 8-27-16-briefs. See 8-29-16 Briefs archives to learn about Joe Neglia’s revealing Precinct Committeeman Petition Challenged video. Targeted precinct reported so far:

LD17: Fiesta, Foxcrossing, Muskett precincts.

LD23: Cocopah, McCormick Ranch and Golden Eagle precincts.

LD24: Wilshire Precinct, See 8-17-16 Briefs

LD25: Westwood Precinct,

LD26: Precinct not named at the moment.

CANDIDATE COMMENTARY

Please comply with the 300 word limit policy. If statements exceeds the limit,

it will be edited. Briefs does not post endorsement

Maricopa County Sheriff candidate Wayne Baker: Today is the primary election and I am very grateful for the moral support the campaign has received. Janice and I have put about $40,000 into this campaign and I as well as a few friends and family members have invested a great deal of time and resources. Hopefully all of the hard work will pay off in the end but just know I pursued this campaign because of the problems within MCSO, knowing I could be the one to rectify the issues. Please encourage your friends and family to consider voting for me in the election if they want someone honest and will put the needs of the office first. For my MCSO family, please pass the word on to all of your friends and co-workers to vote on Tuesday and to cast their vote for me. I WILL look after their career interests and treat them as they should be treated. If you are ready for a change in the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office, I am the one you have been seeking to make those changes. Thank you all.

Scottsdale City Council Incumbent Virginia Korte: For those of you who have not already voted by mail, today is Primary Election day.  You can vote the traditional way at the polls or, if you have not filled out your early ballot, you can drop it off at a polling place. You can find your polling place at Maricopa.Vote As I have previously mentioned, the Scottsdale mayoral and City Council races are on the November 8th ballot.  Early voting for the election begins October 12th. Because I am not taking my re-election to a second term on the City Council for granted, I have been working hard since January on my campaign.  I have been meeting with many groups throughout the city to create a dialogue about the issues that matter most to them.  I have also met with individual citizens to listen to their ideas and discuss my priorities. I want to thank all of those people who have shared their thoughts with me during the past eight months.  Your input has been especially helpful. In a couple of weeks my campaign will be shifting into high gear and I will be stepping up my pace with my volunteers by walking in more neighborhoods. There will also be several candidate forums that I hope you will be able to attend. Thank you for your support. New video youtube.com/c/VirginiaLKorte

Congresswoman Martha McSally: "...the House probably is in the process of flipping – and a huge Democratic wave is hitting" reads a recent headline from the Washington Post. Washington insiders have concluded "Republican seats are likely to flip in November," and "districts are just too tough for GOP incumbents to hold." Friend, let me be clear — we are not going to let that happen. National Democrats are starting their House take-over by targeting districts like mine. With your help we can fight them off. That's why I'm asking you to make a donation to ensure Nancy Pelosi doesn't become Speaker of the House again. As the first female fighter pilot to fly in combat AND the first to command a fighter squadron in combat in U.S. history, I'm no stranger to tough battles. And this is one fight that I know I can win, but I can't win without the support of friends like you, Friend. This campaign could be the closest election in the country (like it was in 2014!) and the most expensive Congressional race this year, which is why I'm asking for your generous donation today. With our critical deadline just days away, I can't afford to fail. If I don't meet my goal, my campaign may have to cut back on crucial grassroots Get Out the Vote efforts that are absolutely vital to winning in November.
