LD 23 Chairman Jim O’Connor has announced his candidacy for the Arizona Republican Party Chairmanship. The election to be held at the January 28, 2017 AZGOP Statutory meeting at a yet to be announced location. “I am running to give AZGOP State Committeemen an opportunity to choose a Chairman who will incorporate the grassroots activists’ voices and ideas into the operation of our State Party. I intend to reopen the doors of party headquarters to Republican volunteers and take advantage of their willingness to offer their time, talents, and treasure to the party. I look to orchestrate a model of appropriate behavior from the top down.” Contact O’Connor at jwo@ronnoco3.com or 602-538-9387. See full announcement at archives.mcrcbriefs.org/9-9-16-briefs

Former AZGOP Chairman Tom Morrissey: We have been organizing Arizona Veterans For Donald Trump as way to help elect him into the Presidency of the United States. What follows is my opinion:   As a proud veteran who refuses to stand by and watch our great country disintegrate under the influence of those who have a different vision of this nation then that upon which it was founded, and we have served.  Without a doubt, it is time for us to serve again, and this time it is for the very survival of the America we have known all our lives. Donald Trump has caused a brush fire against the corrupt Establishment Elite in both major parties and they, in turn, are waging a war against him and the principals we wore the uniform of this country to preserve.  It is in our utmost interest to stand with this man and defeat one of the greatest threats we have ever faced. If you agree with what I say, then please contact every veteran, military family and other patriots asking them to contact everyone they know to let them know why you stand with those who love our country, no matter what is thrown at us. And ask them to do the same. Let's kick some a**! - Tom Morrissey, Coordinator Arizona Veterans for Donald Trump, 602 319-5103

Parental alert: Protective Intelligence and Assessment Specialist Consultant Lyle Rapacki: I conducted an Aug. 17 closed-door intelligence briefing in the Arizona Senate with the assistance of a subject-matter medical expert, providing detailed intelligence and a medical presentation depicting a growing number of states in the US now confronting medical challenges never before encountered. These challenges are in direct measure due to the continuing and unchecked flow of illegals from many South American and South Central countries, as well as from Middle Eastern Islamic countries - with virtually NO medical screening. I reported that 12 states including Arizona were experiencing new medical challenges with parasites, bacteria, and skin lesions not previously known to our medical professionals. It is imperative that State and local officials prepare protocols to respond to unusual outbreaks, and consider setting aside funds to assist county and state health departments for a potentially large increase in activity. My briefing packet has since been distributed publicly to inform parents and citizens. See the United Kingdom” primary-school-kids-struck-down-with-biblical-flesh-rotting-skin-disease, describing two cases of possible Leprosy in Riverside, California. ‘

Prior to this public reporting, my medical expert and I submitted a full report privately to some elected officials on this matter. We chose to not report on the incident until more conclusive evidence surfaced. Specimens from the exposed children have been rushed to a lab in Louisiana for formal diagnosis, which should be reached within two weeks. Since my briefing, five additional states now have medical challenges for a total of 17 states. Some of the challenges have been contained and even aggressively addressed. Other issues are still unfolding. America is certainly undergoing “change” but the results are scary and not-so-good. Former LD4 House candidate Richard Hopkins: First and foremost, a sincere and heartfelt THANK YOU to all that helped me this year.  Due to a series of unfortunate circumstances, not the least of which was the raising of the signature total twice, I had to run as a write-in candidate.  Lots of people worked very hard to get the word out.  According to the latest count (Maricopa County just finished the evening of September 7), I was credited with 178 votes.  I needed 252.  According to Maricopa, Pima, and Yuma County elections, there were 641 write-ins counted, but only 178 were deemed “valid.”  Yuma County said there were 165 write-ins, but gave me 54 votes.  Pima County said there were 120 write-ins, but gave me 9 votes.  Maricopa County said there were 356 write-ins, but gave me 115 votes.  I was told the process was a committee made up of 2 Dems and 2 Reps did the counting.  Friends in Maricopa and Yuma Counties are checking with the elections folks to see why the big discrepancy and who was on the committee.  It will be determined after that if a challenge in court is warranted or not.  Once again, THANK YOU to everyone.

Consultant Adam Deguire in response to Andy Biggs increasing his lead to 16 votes for Arizona’s Fifth Congressional District: "Just as we expected, our lead over Christine Jones increased after the additional 18 ballots were counted by the County Recorder's office. We almost doubled our lead and now hold a 16 vote advantage, confirming that we ended the campaign with strong momentum behind us. We feel confident this margin will hold during the recount. Unfortunately, it now appears that Christine Jones is headed back to court to further delay the voters' will and attempt to find a way to erase her 16 vote deficit. I suppose after losing the election and then losing the lawsuit, she is now hoping that a ‘third time's a charm.’ The primary election ended over 10 days ago. It's time to allow the County and State to complete the canvass so we can begin the recount process and unite behind our Republican nominee. The voters in Arizona's Fifth District have chosen Andy Biggs to represent them on the ballot in November and we should honor their wish."

CD5 candidate Christine Jones: After spending all day in court yesterday, the Court issued an order about an hour ago. Here is an update - We brought 10 witnesses to the judge, giving two very interesting stories: Catherine, Robert, Lisa, Melissa, Tara, and James were all provisional ballot voters. They were told that their vote would be counted. However, in Maricopa County, if you vote by provisional ballot in the wrong precinct, your vote will not count. All of them testified that if they would have been told that their vote would not count, they would have driven to their proper voting location.
Kendra, Brian, Tailor and Dalton were Early Ballot Voters, who’s signatures had changed over the years. They each declared under penalty of perjury that they signed their ballots themselves. However, the way the Maricopa County Recorders office compares signatures, their votes did not count. Those ten voters are a small sample of the more than 300 voters from CD-5 who have similar stories. In a typical election, these issues do not come to light because most elections are not this close. When you are separated by nine votes, though, it does matter. Judge Rogers ordered that the votes of the people who were provisional ballot holders (the first group above), shall be counted. This will put eighteen (18) votes back in play. How did those people vote? I don’t know. When we do, I’ll update you. Next week, all 85,000 votes in CD-5 will be recounted, and the winner will be decided. Thank you so much for your support.

Kerry Dougherty: The NIH — Broke While Doling Out Millions One example, according to (Sen Jeff )Flake, who serves as the chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations subcommittee on Africa and Global Health, is an NIH grant of $3.5 million to study why people see the face of Jesus on toast, burritos or in cloud formations. Turns out, it’s due to something called “face pareidolia.”

LD17 Recording Secretary Don Langlois:  Our son, Eric, age 46, is in need of a kidney transplant.  No one in the family can be a donor.  We are seeking a kidney donor for our son, an electrical engineer at Sandia Laboratory in Albuquerque, New Mexico?  Eric has been accepted as a candidate for kidney transplant at Mayo Hospital in Phoenix and at University of NM in Albuquerque, but it seems that it is up to us to seek someone who is both willing and able to donate a kidney to Eric Langlois.
