AZGOP Chairman Robert Graham To The AZGOP Executive Committee: We have received a number of inquiries about the term of a PC, terms of service for chairmen, and special meetings and appointments during this period. We know there are conflicting opinions on some of these topics and that some chairmen have made lame duck appointments in the past. We are receiving multiple opinions on these issues and will update you with our research findings early next week.

How time flies Twenty years ago I was the Arizona Game and Fish Department’s public information officer for the Black-footed Ferret Re-introduction project, as well as the Outreach Chairman to the AzGFD/US Fish & Wildlife Black-footed Ferret Recovery Team, as they reintroduced the nearly extinct ferrets into the prairie dog fields near Seligman, AZ. AGFD is now planning the 20th anniversary celebration of that historic event on the Double O Ranch – just outside of Seligman. Participants will meet at noon on Oct 4, eat lunch and release seven ferret. Talks will be given by members of the black-footed ferret working group. Ferret booths and memorabilia will also be available. Terrestrial Wildlife Specialist III Jennifer Cordova said, “The black-footed ferret project would not be such a success if not for the hard work and dedication of all of the volunteers who have participated during spotlighting and other project activities.  Without your passion and willingness to stay up all night long, our spotlighting events would not have been possible.” Arizona Game and Fish in conjunction with the US Fish and Wildlife Service, reintroduced the black-footed ferret, California condors and the Mexican Gray Wolf back in the wilds in Arizona within a few months of each other that year. – Editor Frosty Taylor

Former CD6 candidate Captain Russ Wittenberg: Valued Friends & Fellow Patriots – “We want to give you all a heartfelt ‘Thank You!’ for your faith and support in our cause that attempted to bring the 6th Congressional District better and more enthusiastic representation in Washington D.C. at such a critical time in our nation's history. Unfortunately, we fell short of what we needed to do to replace the three-term Congressman and we now know he is on the same, low integrity level as The Arizona Republic (the so-called "newspaper"). Considering we got in so late and had so few funds to work with, I feel the results of over 15,500 votes, which equals 20% of the total vote, may be something to work on for the future. We really feel that if we had more time and money to get "our word" out as to where I stand on the issues, this could have been a much different result, as he is very beatable. We value you who signed the nomination petition to get on the ballot, who voted for Russ, and your time and help as volunteers. Thanks again and now let's all support Donald Trump with every effort we can give to him, as this is our last chance to save America. Take care, be safe, peace, love, justice and liberty to all who fight for it & God Bless America! - Captain Russ & Renee

The Arizona Corporation Commission has selected Chief Master Sergeant John Mazza, a recent 29 year US Air Force retiree, as the new ACC Safety Division Director. He most recently served as Command Chief for the 56th Fighter Wing at Luke Air Force Base. The wing is largest fighter wing in the U.S. Air Force and is home to 23 squadrons of F-16 and F-35A aircraft. Mazza was responsible for the training, management, and operations for more than 3,000 enlisted personnel. Mazza was also deployed in support of operations Iraqi Freedom, and Enduring Freedom and served as Wing Command Chief for the 88th Air Base Wing at Wright-Patterson AFB in Ohio. The Commission also extends its appreciation to former Commissioner Jeffrey Hatch Miller who has been serving as Interim Safety Division Director during this search.

Fewer Arizona Women Are Getting Abortions, The latest numbers show 245 fewer babies were aborted in 2015 than the year prior. This continues a downward trend from the high in 2011 of 14,401.The Arizona Department of Health Services’ annual report shows a total of 12,655 abortions in 2015 – down 12% from 2011, the first full year of reporting. “The fact that fewer women are getting abortions almost every year is extremely encouraging,” said Cathi Herrod, president of Center for Arizona Policy. “Whether it is because more women are choosing life, or it is due to other factors, I celebrate each life saved.”“Still, I am painfully aware of the more than 12,000 that never took a breath this year. In addition, the numbers show 36% of those abortions were chosen by women who had abortions in the past. This shows we have to do more to help women in those situations.”

Dinesh D'Souza and Sheriff David Clarke joined Sean Hannity on Fox News to respond to Hillary Clinton's claims that Donald Trump helps ISIS recruit with his rhetoric. Does Clinton really believe that by calling Americans "Islamophobes," she's helping the situation and not enflaming it? The reality is that Trump offers a politically incorrect truth: while not all Muslims are terrorists, most terrorists are Muslims.

National Association of Former Border Patrol Officers (NAFBPO) Chairman Zack Taylor: Anybody want to guess where the Heroin was grown, processed, packaged and made ready for final shipment into the United States? Well, if it is true that 80% of the Heroin encountered in Wisconsin originates in Mexico there is a good chance the New Jersey Heroin also came from there. For sure, he didn't pick it up at CVS, Rite Aid or Walgreens.  If you have Sanctuary Cities and Illegal Aliens in all likelihood you have Heroin. CONGRESSIONAL STATEMENTS

Please comply with the 300 word limit policy. If statements exceeds the limit,it will be edited.

Congresswoman Martha McSally sent a letter to Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson requesting the release of a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) report detailing new measures of Border Patrol effectiveness. The letter follows media reports last week that DHS is suppressing the information. “I am writing to express my concern over recent press reports suggesting that the Administration has suppressed an important tax-payer funded border security report that details the probability of an individual successfully crossing the border illegally, including estimates of those who are not detected by the U.S. Border Patrol,” Rep. McSally wrote in the letter. “In order to rebuild trust in our system, we need transparency with the American people and full and accurate measurements of our effectiveness along the border. In March, a hearing held by Rep. McSally revealed that Border Patrol only has roughly 56% situational awareness of the southern border, calling into question their claim of 80% effectiveness. Independent studies suggest the actual effectiveness rate is closer to 50%. In the letter, Rep. McSally requests that DHS submit the final report to Congress no later than September 30, 2016. letter HERE.

After bombings around New York City and a terrorist attack at a Minnesota mall this weekend, Rep. Martha McSally questioned top law enforcement from around the country at a Homeland Security Committee hearing about emerging terror threats. McSally’s questioning focused on the rising occurrence of female jihadi fighters and the need for continued information sharing among law enforcement. “I held a roundtable with my colleague Kathleen Rice on this phenomena months ago because there’s a very specific dynamic here that we haven’t seen before, where we have girls and women not just being victimized and recruited, but also being hardened jihadists themselves, and actually leading some of those efforts,” McSally said during the hearing. “For the 250 Americans who have attempted to go to Syria, 1 in 6 are women…Do your outreach efforts have anything focusing specifically on women and girls that are becoming radicalized or are they just part of your general efforts for outreach?” McSally discusses emerging terror threats
