Republican Briefs

Editor Frosty Taylor     Web Master John Strasser

Donald Trump Apologized Saturday Morning For Sexually Aggressive Remarks He Made A Decade Ago. Trump said in a video statement that his 2005 comments -- in which he bragged about trying to have sex with a married woman and being able to grope women -- do not represent who he is. But, he said, "I said it, I was wrong, and I apologize." He pledged to be a better man.

John McCain Issued This Statement regarding Donald Trump's recently reported comments about women:  "There are no excuses for Donald Trump’s offensive and demeaning comments. No woman should ever be victimized by this kind of inappropriate behavior. He alone bears the burden of his conduct and alone should suffer the consequences.” Editor’s Note: Remember back in 1992 when McCain’s headline read McCain-Called-His-Wife-The C-Word

Florida Gov. Rick Scott on Thursday rebuffed a request by Hillary Clinton’s campaign to extend the state's voter registration deadline beyond Oct. 11 on account of Hurricane Matthew. “People have had time to register,” Scott said.

Obama's Favorite ISIS Meme Just Blown Up... By Muslims President Obama can't bring himself to blame Islam for acts of terror that have killed tens of thousands around the world. And don't get him started on ISIS -- he insists the Islamic State "is not Islamic." Well there are some very prominent Muslims who beg to differ ...

US Senate Incumbent John McCain’s Campaign purchased a seven figure state-wide media buy including new television ads in English and Spanish against challenger Dem Ann Kirkpatrick. "Democrat Congresswoman Ann Kirkpatrick has a long record of following the marching orders of the liberal establishment, many times at Arizona's expense," said Lorna Romero, Communications Director. "This election is a choice between two very different candidates. John McCain has spent his career fighting for our country and our state. The people of Arizona deserve a senator who has the courage to stand up for what is right and not run away from tough issues."

Yesterday Morning AZGOP Chairman Robert Graham announced the creation of the Arizona Republican Party Victory Board, a special committee comprised of Republican community leaders and operatives throughout the state who are coordinating various efforts to increase Republican voter turnout in the upcoming election. “These board members have worked informally together for many months, and it’s time to publicize our efforts to show how serious we are about creating a Republican victory this November,” said Graham. “I am proud of each and every member of our Victory Campaign Board for the work they’ve already been doing on behalf of the party, and with four weeks to election day we’re going to see those results happening immediately.” Republican voter registration exceeds that of Democrats by five percentage points, and Republican voters in Arizona had an eight percent higher voter turnout rate than Democrats in the November 2012 presidential election.  National Committeeman Bruce Ash stated, “We’ve laid the groundwork over the past two years so we could be successful now, and now is the time to execute our plans to engage voters, elect our party’s nominees, and prepare to win and govern on behalf of hardworking taxpayers throughout Arizona,” Ash added. The members of the AZGOP Victory Campaign Board of Directors include:

Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus released the following statement on the September jobs report: “Today’s jobs report is another disappointing reminder of how the Obama economy has failed to produce prosperity for millions of Americans,” said Priebus. “President Obama’s term of office has been marked by slow economic growth and millions of Americans giving up on looking for work, and a Hillary Clinton presidency only means more of the same. Her tax plan will kill jobs, hamper GDP growth, and shrink wages, and Americans looking for new opportunities and good jobs will be greatly disappointed with Hillary Clinton in the White House. Donald Trump has been creating jobs for decades, and he has the vision and experience to make our economy the strongest in the world once again.”

300 word limit policy. If statements exceeds the limit, it will be edited.

Congressman David Schweikert: I have a favor to ask. We have 31 days until the most important election of our lifetime. "Crooked Hillary" Clinton is throwing everything she can at conservatives. Up and down the Republican ticket, we cannot let a day pass without doing everything we can to save our country from a 3rd term of Barack Obama's failed and disastrous policies. I have a favor. And it's a big one. We set an aggressive goal to raise $10,000 in the next week online. That means I'm counting on your help. In fact, your country is counting on your help. Everything we care about hangs in the balance. Donald Trump and Mike Pence are running against one of the most corrupt individuals to ever run for President. We need to tell that story. We need to get the American people out to vote. I know you care about winning. We've won some pretty big fights together over the years, Can I count on your most generous help. donate here

Former Corporation Commissioner Brenda Burns: I’m writing to recommend support for my good friend, Thomas Galvin – for the Central Arizona Water Conservation District Board (CAWCD). Tom was my Policy Advisor when I was a Corporation Commissioner. He was with me the entire 4 years, and I couldn’t have been any more pleased with my decision to hire him. We worked great together for the benefit of Arizonans. Obviously I know a lot about his work style, commitment and integrity. I give him the highest marks on each of those attributes. Water sustainability in Arizona has been part of our history – and continues into our present. We need people on the Board who understand how to balance Arizona’s needs for our future and who will be diligent in that goal. Please know that since this is a ‘non partisan’ position, the ballot will not show “republican” or “democrat”. There are 10 board members and 5 of the seats are up for election. If I can answer anything else about Tom for you, please let me know. You can also go to his Website for more information – and/or to contribute to his campaign.Early ballots will be out next week! Thanks for considering Thomas Galvin – I hope he gets your vote! (I would love to have a response from you if you have the time….)
