Dear-America: Delegate-Says-Establishment-Decides-GOP-Nominee, Not-You --- Are-You-Ok-With-That? This delegate just said that We the People aren’t actually the ones who decide who we want in office — that it is the Establishment that does that. Do you agree with him?

Former Congressman Frank Riggs: Yesterday's Briefs carried an item about the U.S. Senate's confirmation of John King as U.S. Secretary of Education but failed to point out that Senators McCain and Flake were two of the 11 senators "not voting."  Their failure to vote is inexplicable given the large number of Arizonans, especially parents of school-age children, who are steadfastly and implacably opposed to Common Core and its federally mandated standards and testing regimen that intrudes on state and local control of K-12 education.  As Woody Allen said, "90% of life is showing up;" by not showing up and voting against King's confirmation, McCain and Flake missed the opportunity to stand with and fight for the majority of their constituents against the pro-Common Core agenda of Obama and King. See Senate Confirms Obama's Pro-Common Core Education Secretary The GOP Senate has confirmed President Obama's pro-Common Core nominee for U.S. education secretary, extremist John King, despite the pleas of Americans from across the political spectrum. Riggs, a former Arizona gubernatorial candidate, is available to

State Committeeman A. J. LaFaro's Response To Ruling On State Convention Resolutions: I wouldn't expect anything less from the likes of Robert Graham, his AZGOP minions and the RINO establishment. This is just one more example of Graham’s constant intimidation, bullying, overreach and unilateral policies. The very reason the "AZGOP State Convention Delegates' Resolution Demanding Chairman Robert Graham Resign" was written in the first place.
Tim Sifert says "Anyone who would like to submit resolutions to the state convention is free to get elected as a state delegate first and then submit from the floor with the requisite signatures"
3-17-16 Briefs archives . Yeah right ... so Graham's parliamentarian can unethically rule against them like at the January AZGOP State Meeting.
Let's face it, the fix is in to "stack the deck and steal the delegates" at the March 26th through April 9th LD and County Quadrennial Caucuses, at the April 30th AZGOP State Convention and ultimately at the RNC National Convention in July.
That's why Graham and his minions decided to unilaterally allow proxies and charge a $50 poll tax for the first time ever in the AZGOP's 78 year history.  It's no wonder the American people are fed up with the political party establishments.
According to Curly Haugland, North Dakota's National Committeeman and RNC Rules Committee Member, it doesn't make a difference what the American voters want, or for that matter the bound delegates representing any of the candidates.
We-Choose-The-Nominee-Not-The-Voters-Senior-GOP-Official and RNC-Rules-Comm-Member: Every-Delegate-At-GOP-Convention-Not-Bound-On-First-Ballot

The audacity, indifference and self-interest of Robert Graham, John McCain, Mitt Romney and the establishment cabal knows no bounds.  These “dirty tricks” political tactics reflect their “Washington values” where they will do anything to win.  They are no better than Obama’s “pen and phone dictatorship”.  Good luck to those of you who aspire to be a delegate to the more than likely controversial AZGOP State and the RNC National Conventions.  Just remember the fix is in and your time, money and vote won't count if the RINO establishment gets their way. LaFaro is a LD18 Precinct and State Committeeman, National Director, Arizona Republican Assembly (AzRA) and Immediate Past Chairman, Maricopa County Republican Committee (MCRC)

AZGOP Communications Spokesman Tim Sifert’s 10:30 pm, Wed, March 16 Resolutions Message: To all who have sent in resolutions intended for the April 30th convention:
Only the members of a body can submit resolutions to that body. The state delegates will be members of the state convention and only state delegates can submit resolutions to the state convention. As of this date, we don't have any state delegates elected.
As per the AZGOP bylaws, the deadline to submit resolutions is 45 days before the meeting. But none of the state delegates get elected 45 days before the meeting. This is a problem in the bylaw, which was discussed in the AZGOP Executive Committee meeting last week and it was decided that the only way to submit a resolution is to submit them from the floor on the day of state convention.
Anyone who would like to submit resolutions to the state convention is free to get elected as a state delegate first and then submit from the floor with the requisite signatures.

People who were not part of the Executive Committee might be unaware of this.
It was discussed that this would be fixed in the next state meeting with a bylaw amendment."

Editor’s Note: The AZGOP Executive Committee meet on March 5, 2016. The membership was not notified until March 16, 2016 of the resolution rules change. State leaders report that Graham did not convened the Bylaws Committee in 2013, 2014 and 2015. Bylaws_Rev_2011_01_22.pdf

160317-1945 - AZRRT Call To Action – SB1416 By Jose Borrajero

SB1416 has been assigned to the House Appropriations Committee, but a hearing has not been scheduled. We must keep it that way: this is the third time during this session that we issue an “all hands on deck” appeal. We do not do this lightly. It is extremely important that we kill SB1416. If you are consider yourself a protector of the right of “we the people” to have a direct voice at the state board of education, then you must respond by contacting the members of the House Appropriations Committee and request that the house appropriations committee do not schedule SB1416 for a hearing, but instead let it wither on the vine. (rts testimony not available at this time). Contact information for the members of the House Appropriations Committee:

Here are rebuttals to the two most often used arguments in favor of SB1416:

Bogus Argument #1: Read the AZ constitution. The legislature has the power to define the role of the Superintendent of Public Education.

Rebuttal #1: Of course the legislature has that power. But we the people want the legislature to give the SPI the maximum level of power allowed under the constitution, not the minimum.

Bogus Argument #2: Half the bill was written by the SPI’s chief of staff.

Rebuttal #2: It is a bad bill, no matter who wrote it. This is not about the current SPI or the current chief of staff. It is about the office of the SPI, currently and in the future. It is about the people having the loudest possible voice at the SBE.

For more information on this, check out the attached file containing a letter from the SPI to legislators.
