Graveside services were held March 19. (the day of the ARW Fashion Show). Service attendees were asked to wear purple – her favorite color. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to a lung cancer research foundation. Messages can be left at

The Tempe Republican Women are urging homeowners to get their ballots by Fri., March 25 for the April 5 SRP Board Members election. All homeowners are entitled to vote, but they must register and request a ballot as SRP is not governed by the Corporation Commission; it is a quasi-municipality making this your only way to express a vote for the board that effects policy and your rates. At least two known Republicans candidates are up for election- Fred Ash and Chris Dobson. Request a ballot here:"

Coconino County Republican Committee Chairman Joan Harris: The Coconino County meeting to elect our delegates to the State Convention will be held at 9 am, Mon., April 4, at the DoubleTree Hotel, 1175 W. GOP-Insiders: Nominee-Wont-Be-Limited-To-Winner-Of-8-States The Republican Party does not require a presidential candidate to win eight states to qualify to be placed in nomination at its upcoming Cleveland convention, GOP officials say. The Republican National Committee's "Rule 40(b)" makes eligibility for the GOP nomination contingent upon winning a majority of the convention delegates in at least eight states or territories, an achievement generally accomplished by winning at least eight primary or caucus elections. However, Rule 40(b) only applied to the 2012 Republican convention in Tampa, Fla., that nominated former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.

Sheriff Richard Mack will address the Wickenburg Republican Club at 7 pm., March 28 in the Lifeline Ambulance Training Building, 1155 N Tegner, Wickenburg. In 1994 he was recruited by the National Rifle Association as a plaintiff in one of nine lawsuits against the Clinton administration over the Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act. He is a former lobbyist for Gun Owners of America (GOA). Mack is also the founder of Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association (CSPOA), and established the "County Sheriff Project" movement, both of whom claim the power to refuse to enforce federal laws. Congressman Paul Gosar: “Not a single one of the actions taken by EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy in the wake of the Flint water crisis proves she understood the seriousness of this catastrophe. We now know that EPA officials admitted in June of 2015 that Flint water had high levels of lead. Shamefully, the EPA failed to warn residents of this imminent danger. This dishonesty is the latest in a long list of fraudulent behavior from a rogue agency beholden to no one. I first called for Administrator McCarthy to be impeached in September of last year for committing perjury and lying to Congress.”

Gov Doug Ducey has signed SB1163 – requires that damage to underground utility lines be reported to 911. Sen John Kavanagh’s bill required the person responsible for the damage must notify the release of hazardous gases or liquids. “In a case where there is damage of this kind, it is critical for quick action to maintain the public’s safety.” said Commission Pipeline Safety Director Robert Miller. “This is something that just makes good sense.” Homeowners/contractors are currently required to contact Arizona 811 (formerly Blue Stake) prior to digging – which gives utility companies time to make their lines to avoid damage. SB1163 reduces chances for injury or long term outage. For information contact Arizona Corporation Commission’s Pipeline Safety Division at or (602) 262-5601 or

In the past three years, CD4 Congressman Paul Gosar passed 51 amendments, -- more than any other member of Congress -- during the appropriations process. These amendments stopped out-of-control federal spending, blocked numerous executive overreaches from a lawless Obama Administration and provided commonsense solutions to expand economic opportunities for all Arizonans. This year, he plans to further his reputation as the “most effective member of Congress” Action he took last week:

SB 1324: This technical bill clarifies the legislative intent of a 2012 law requiring that abortion providers follow the FDA protocol when administering medication abortions.

SB 1485: SB 1485 will permanently exclude all abortion providers from eligibility to receive funds through the State Employees Charitable Campaign.

Contact Your Elected Officials Today and ask them to vote YES on all three bills. These bills could be voted on as early as tomorrow!

Congressman Paul Gosar: “You reap what you sow Mr. President. Elections DO have consequences and the American people voted to take the Senate away from Democrats for this exact reason. Congressman Paul Gosar: “It was reported this past Tuesday that the VA issued "notices of proposed removal" for Phoenix VA Associate Director Lance Robinson; Dr. Darren Deering, the hospital chief of staff; and Brad Curry, chief of health administration services. However, it is outrageous that it took two years to begin the firing process for corrupt federal bureaucrats who committed malfeasance within the VA. They should have been fired a long time ago. Furthermore, there should be no appeal process, no reassignment and no pension. Federal employees should be not a protected class. Fundamental changes, similar to those already passed by the House, need to be made to the VA hiring and firing process. Our veteran’s deserve federal employees that strive to ensure they are provided with the care they earned. It shouldn’t be this hard to fire someone who is bad at their job.”

Congressman Paul A. Gosar after submitting a language request to the House Appropriations Committee asking it to include language that would prevent presidential abuse of the Antiquities Act: “During his time in office, President Obama has abused the Antiquities Act to designate or expand 22 national monuments and lock up more than three million acres of land. Shamefully, the president recently designated three new national monuments in the California desert encompassing nearly 1.8 million acres. The president, regardless of political affiliation, should not have unilateral authority to designate millions of acres of land without local public input or proper analysis. Unilateral designations that circumvent Congress under the Antiquities Act typically result in devastating consequences for local communities that negatively affect their future economic prosperity.  These declarations often result in some of the most restrictive land-use regulations possible and also greatly impact hunting, fishing, OHV and other recreational activities. Grazing rights, water rights, wildfire prevention and other land management activities can also be negatively impacted. I will continue to do everything in my power to block presidential overreach and prevent abuse under this outdated 1906 law.”

Congressman Matt Salmon after introducing the #ProtectOurDevices Act. “The FBI’s recent attempt to interpret a 1789 law as granting them the power to compel a company to fundamentally undermine their product shocked privacy and intellectual property advocates across our nation.  Contrary to the FBI’s assertion, should they get their way, the safety and security of everyday Americans’ data will be compromised.  We cannot allow this to happen.  The Protect Our Devices Act would make it utterly clear that a 1789 law does not grant the judiciary the authority to coerce companies into hacking their own products.  America is better than that.” Background: Currently, the Justice Department is relying on an unprecedented reading of federal law in an attempt to compel a private company to undermine their proprietary encryption and jeopardize the privacy of their customers. The precedent set in this case has a host of implications including a reinterpretation of Americans’ constitutional guarantees to security in their persons, places, and effects.  This bill would clarify that the text of the All Writs Act, originally passed as part of the Judiciary Act of 1789, does not apply to encryption.

Last Wednesday, U.S. Congressman Paul A. Gosar chaired a House Oversight Subcommittee on the Interior hearing which examined the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) management of the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) program. A portion of his opening speech is listed below: “The implementation of the RFS has also created some unintended and adverse consequences. The rapid expansion of biofuel production using corn has caused an increase in food prices, which in turn hurts the poorest and most vulnerable in society, both at home and abroad. Furthermore, some studies have shown that current ethanol production may actually contribute to higher greenhouse gas emissions. Accordingly, in a 2011 National Academy of Science study, EPA’s own emissions analysts found corn ethanol to have a higher life-cycle greenhouse gas emissions than that of gasoline. This is in direct contrast with the original RFS goal of improving air quality. These are just some of the problems that must be addressed as we examine the effectiveness and viability of the RFS as a program.”

U.S. Senators John McCain and Lindsey Graham on the terrorist attacks in Brussels, Belgium: “Our deepest condolences are with the loved ones of those killed in the terrorist attacks in Brussels and with all the people of Belgium. We are praying for the recovery of the more than a hundred wounded in these attacks and for the safety of the first responders putting their lives on the line. The horrific attacks in Brussels were sadly predictable. And they are a reminder of what should by now be painfully obvious: the United States and Europe are at war with ISIL. We have seen attacks on a civilian airliner in the skies of Egypt; on cafes, concert halls, and stadiums in the streets of Paris; on a community center in San Bernardino; and now on a train station and an airport in Brussels. There should be no doubt that ISIL poses a real, direct, and growing threat to the United States. ISIL remains in control of its sanctuaries in Iraq and Syria. It is expanding across the Middle East, Africa, and parts of Asia and radicalizing terrorist recruits in the United States and Europe. Yet after allowing the ISIL threat to grow and strengthen for years, the Administration still has no plausible strategy to destroy ISIL on anything close to an acceptable timeline. We need a strategy to destroy ISIL, not ‘ultimately,’ but as quickly as possible. Time has never been on our side in this conflict, and the failure to recognize the urgent realities of the war against ISIL will carry a grave price for our nation and our people.”
