Reports Kept Surfacing yesterday alleging Arizona Presidential candidate Ted Cruz’s camp of attempts to convert Presidential candidate Donald Trump’s supporters to Cruz voters prior to this weeks AZ delegate selection meetings. Former Arizona Congressman JD Hayworth will be airing a session on this topic this morning. As soon as it’s archived, Briefs will post a link so you can listen to what Hayworth has uncovered. Long Time Speculation that AZGOP Robert Graham is grasping for the Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairmanship rung as six year Chairman Reince Priebus moves on is catching national attention as “The Hill” reports backstage-maneuvering-begins-in-wide-open-gop-chairmans-race According to the article, Graham is considering it, but he’s focused on keeping Sen John McCain’s seat in the GOP column… it’s a family decision.
Promo Messages pushing Prop 123 are abundant, but Vicki Alger, Arizona Republic Assemblies Education spokesman says, “As you know, on May 17, 2016, Proposition 123 will be voted on during the special election, and early voting begins on April 20. Contrary to the hype, Proposition 123 will NOT restore dollars to the classroom and has serious negative consequences. Maricopa County Sheriff Candidate Marsha Hill will be speaking to LD28 on Wed., May 10 at the Madison School District HQ, 16th Street and Missouri, Phx.
LD23 PC Barbara Espinosa: “I had a Facebook friend tell me Cruz was taking convention AZ delegates away from Trump.” BE responded- “Arizona delegates are bound on first vote if it goes to brokered convention different story. The rub is electing the delegates that are going to the convention and there is a lot of machinations going on in that regard. i.e. now a $50 charge for state delegates to attend state convention where National delegates will be elected/chosen.” Christopher: “Thanks, will pass along to people I know in Trumps campaign. In Pennsylvania if you are a delegate the PAGOP has a $500 fee to get your credentials. I'm lucky to have a friend that I can stay at his house in Cleveland. BE: “Those of you who are kvetching about a $50 charge be glad you are not trying to participate in the as a National delegate from PA.”
Yavapai County PC Richard Hennessey: “If anyone wants to know why I am so p****d about the $50, think about this – I am bottle feeding baby goats at 9 pm on a Sunday evening and fair-haired jerks like (AZGOP Chairman) Robert Graham and Yavapai County GOP Chairman Mark Sensmeier are sitting in their big houses scratching their a**.
Yavapai County Republican Chairman Mark Sensmeier: 30 seconds of fact checking about my "big" house: (1) Mark Sensmeier - Single-family residential, 1674 sq ft, 0.2 acres, 2016 full cash value: $179,875. (2) Rick Hennessey - Single-family residential, 1592 sq ft, 4.75 acres, 2016 full cash value: $172,061. Source: Yavapai County GIS Interactive Mapping Tool. Former Cochise County GOP Committee First Vice Chairman Jim Ehl: At the time of founding the United States, traditionally, when we tell the story of “Colonial America,” we are talking about the English colonies along the Eastern seaboard. That story is incomplete–by the time Englishmen had begun to establish colonies in earnest, there were plenty of French, Spanish, Dutch and even Russian colonial outposts on the American continent–but the story of those 13 colonies (New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia) is an important one. It was those colonies that came together to form the United States. It must be remembered that all residents of the above 13 colonies were not British Subjects, and even at that, all British Subjects did not favor the Declaration of Independence. ALL people do not see ALL things the same way ALL the time. The major political parties see government differently. The establishment of political parties was not provided for in Constitution, therefore, it was left up to the parties to govern themselves. A political party organization has ‘leadership’, official party members (PCs) and voters. The idea of a political party is to bring together and support candidates who will represent in governing the will of the voters of that party. Not everyone wants to be involved in politics So it follows that those to aspire to a place in politics become the ‘leaders” and representatives of the voters. It appears that “Perks and Power Prevail” and ‘apathy’ are paramount. It looks like the “will of the people’ and ‘apathy’ of the party members (PCs) is being overshadowed by the party’s ‘leaderships’ thirst for ‘perks and power’, but no one -- the party’s executive committee, the various TEA parties, the PAC, AzRA - nor anyone else has the back bone to do anything about it. Ehl is also the former Second Vice Chairman for the Cochise County Republican Committee and former secretary to the old LD9.

Congressman Paul A. Gosar after submitting three appropriations language requests to the House Appropriations Committee to defend the Second Amendment and support law abiding businesses: “The Second Amendment gives Americans an undeniable right to bear arms. Unfortunately, there has been a continual push to chip away at this right by the Obama Administration and other gun control advocates. ATF should not be able to require gun dealers in four states to arbitrarily report on multiple legal rifle sales. Furthermore, allowing the Attorney General to block the importation of a firearm, even though it is perfectly legal to possess the firearm in the U.S., defies commonsense and is an infringement on the Second Amendment. Finally, small business owners should not have to rent warehouse space and squander precious capital just to store paper copies of 20 years of guns records when those records can easily be stored electronically. My three commonsense appropriations submissions aim to correct these injustices and defend the Second Amendment.”
“Brad Desaye, President of J&G Sales, Ltd in Prescott, Arizona, after hearing of Rep. Gosar’s three appropriations submissions: “I appreciate and respect Rep. Gosar listening to our concerns and taking action to support the Second Amendment. The three issues Congressman Gosar is seeking to address are positive steps to defend the Second Amendment and to help small businesses like J&G Sales. It is a true pleasure to have a Representative that seeks out employers and constituents, asks for our input, and then takes a stand to help us! Thank you Congressman Gosar.”
