Attorney Larry Klayman: This week, "America's sheriff," Joe Arpaio, and I filed an amicus, that is a "friend of the court" legal brief before the U.S. Supreme Court, challenging the executive orders of President Barack Hussein Obama that involve granting amnesty to over 5 million illegal aliens, many of whom are his "fellow Muslims." Sheriff Arpaio has not specifically targeted illegal-alien Muslims for deportation in the amicus brief we filed, but frankly, that will be the natural consequence if President Obama's executive orders allowing for this amnesty are overturned. I therefore write my own views in this column. Continue Reading...

Sen John McCain expressed his frustration on the Senate floor regarding the VA's refusal to properly implement the Veterans Choice Program:

Calling All Arizona Republican Voters! Www.Azsos.Gov/Equal Is A Website That Allows All Arizona Voters To Sign Candidate Petitions And/Or Contribute $5 To Clean Elections Candidates Online. This is a great way to support conservative Republican candidates without leaving your home. All candidates need to collect a minimum number of qualified signatures and money. YOU can help now by signing an online petition. You simply go to WWW.AZSOS.GOV/EQUAL (the Arizona Secretary of State’s website) and click on one or both of the EQUAL buttons. That will take you to a page where you can sign and/or donate. You will need to provide a valid Arizona Driver’s license number in order for them to verify that you are a qualified voter. Candidates can get half of their required signatures and half of their required $5 contributions in this manner. If we do not help our Arizona conservative Republican candidates today, we cannot expect them to win an election. Please do your part today.

Congresswoman R Martha McSally led an effort yesterday by the full Arizona House delegation in support of federal funding for the improvement of State Route 189 (SR-189), a key trade route connecting the Mariposa Port of Entry to Interstate-19. Friday’s letter follows Rep. McSally’s efforts last year to successfully advocate for inclusion of the SR-189 project, as well as three other key Southern Arizona projects, in long-term federal transportation legislation. “Arizona’s most active commercial border crossing, the Mariposa Port of Entry in Nogales, processes thousands of  commercial vehicles a day bound for locations throughout the country,” the lawmakers said in the letter. “However, the Port’s connection to Interstate 19, the first link of the congressionally designated CANAMEX trade corridor, is tenuous and congested - particularly at peak produce season.  This connection, SR 189 at I-19, has emerged as a “weak link” in the nation’s trade system and is in urgent need of improvement.” Letter HERE.

160408-1600 - AZRRT Results Of Recent Votes By Jose Borrajero www.twitter.com/azrrt1 www.facebook.com/azrrt publicrecord.report/category/alerts/ Please Note: We provide information that would assist “you the people” in determining your support of, or opposition to, politicians based on their voting record, not their campaign rhetoric. Please keep in mind that goal when reading this material because at some point you will be asked to sign and/or circulate petitions, make phone calls, contribute money, etc. by legislators that claim to be conservatives at election time. But you know those who are and those who are not, because you know how they voted on key issues. Some Bills Need Special Attention:

HB2402 – bonds; disclosure; notice: It is a common practice of those who profit from the approval of bond issues to mislead the voters regarding bond issue elections by claiming that they do not increase taxes. As submitted, this bill would have provided voters with important information regarding the cost of voting in favor of issuing bonds. This bill still pretty much accomplishes that despite all the amendments it has suffered. Please support it when it comes up for final vote(s).

HB2478 – NOW; qualifications; county school superintendents: This is a very simple bill that merely states that candidates for a political office (county school superintendent) should be drawn from the population at large, not exclusively from the certified teacher community. It failed a Senate 3rd read vote when five Republicans joined Democrats in voting NO. Those Republicans were Donahue, Pierce, Driggs, Begay, and Worsley.

HB2088 – schools; informed consent: This was a great bill as submitted, but it has been amended to the point it is nearly worthless. If passed, it would give the false impression that something has been done about informed consent, when in reality nearly nothing was done. Should it be supported in hopes that it may be improved at a later legislative session? Many think not, but you be the judge after checking out the adopted amendments at http://www.azleg.gov/DocumentsForBill.asp?Bill_Number=2088&Session_Id=115&image.x=0&image.y=0

HB2201 - sovereign authority; commandeering; prohibition; exception: This is a 10th amendment support bill. By itself it takes no action. As amended, it merely enables the AZ legislature to enact legislation that would prohibit state cooperation with unlawful federal commandeering and other intrusive actions. It failed the Senate 3rd reading vote when two Republicans Pierce and Driggs joined Democrats in voting NO. (Begay was present, but did not vote)
