What Happened To All The “Unity” we heard about at the AZGOP State Convention? Was it just smoke and mirrors? For weeks we have heard that the Republican National Committee (RNC) and GOP bigwigs would never allowed Donald Trump to become the national ticket nominee. Although Trump continues to win state after state and competitors Ted Cruz and John Kasich have suspended their campaigns, some of the Establishment continues to publicly denounce Trump. Does this sound like Unity?
The latest word from DC sources indicates that the Establishment plans to make sure there are enough anti-Trump or Anyone But Trump delegates at the national convention in July to dump the frontrunner by changing the convention rules.
DC sources report that if a maneuver to unbound the delegates on the first round of voting isn’t stopped by the RNC Rules Committee, the plan will be taken to the floor. Yesterday morning, RNC Rules Chairman Bruce Ash of Tucson said, “I am not aware of anything about any scheme such as this. The contest is over. Trump will be the nominee. That’s it.” When asked, “Can this be done from the floor at the national instead of sending it thru the Rules Committee?,” Ash replied, “ I am not sure what the point would be when Donald Trump will control well over 1237 delegates at the convention and it would take a 2/3rds vote of the delegates to pull something like this off.”
However, in spite of Trumps overwhelming Arizona PPE election win and in light of the way the Cruz Team outmaneuvered and overrun the Trump Train delegates at the AZGOP convention –-- the plan doesn’t sound far-fetched considering the political shenanigans that are occuring. Is this why Speaker Paul Ryan is dragging his heels in joining the Unity Team? Will the GOP bigwigs again push for Mitt Romney or a “new face” to keep Trump off the ticket? Trump delegates are still in disbelief that Nearly All Of Trump Delegates Poached At AZGOP Convention after Trump won the Arizona Republican PPE with 47% of the vote. Will the same thing happen at the national? - ft

Agents-Vehicle-Sabotaged On Thursday, a Tucson Sector Border Patrol Agent stopped, while on duty and in his marked ride, at a local convenience store. As the Agent returned to his vehicle and began to open the front passenger seat door, he felt a sharp pain in his finger. The Agent looked under the door handle and discovered a hypodermic needle stuck to gum. Tucson Station management was immediately contacted and in-turn the FBI was informed and has begun an investigation. This action was Intentional and was meant to hurt anyone who attempted to open the door of the vehicle. Local 2544 President Art Del Cueto stated “I cannot believe this has happened, our Agents have worked so hard to make these border communities safe for every resident and then this happens. ”We remind our Agents to remain vigilant and aware of their surroundings when stopping at any local business.
Petition To Keep Men Out Of Women's Bathroom Protect women and children by keeping men out of women's bathrooms. Americans are taking a stand to protect women and children across this great nation. The aggressive, leftist effort to "accommodate" transsexuals also makes it easier for pedophiles, rapists, voyeurs and other sexual deviants to have access to potential victims. It’s time to stop this kind of political correctness that puts women and girls at risk.

Gilbert Watch Publisher Anita Christy: The good news is that HB2088 Passed, thanks to folks like you who made phone calls. The bad news is that HB2620 Passed. In fact, there were only 6 Legislators who voted against it, including Kelly Townsend (R-LD16), Charlene Fernandez (D-LD4), Anthony Kern (R-LD20), Jay Lawrence (R-LD23), Tony Rivero (R-LD21), and Michelle Ugenti-Rita (R-LD23). Both bills have been transmitted to Governor Doug Ducey for signature. Please encourage him to sign HB2088.
HB2088 Recap: Bill that requires written informed consent from a parent of a pupil prior to administration of certain surveys asking for personal information from the student. Because 7 of our Republican representatives voted against it, the bill’s sponsor, Rep. Mark Finchem (LD11), brought it up for Reconsideration yesterday. All of the Republicans who initially voted No, changed their votes to Aye. Those “change of heart” Republicans included Paul Boyer, Heather Carter, Doug Coleman, Kate Brophy-McGee, Frank Pratt, Bob Robson, and T.J. Shope. Fact Sheet: s.2088ed_aspassedcow.pdf.
HB2620 was amended to remove certain provisions of SB1416, but retains provisions which transfers certain powers from the Superintendent of Public Instruction (SPI) to the State Board of Education (SBE). The good parts of the bill include restoring certain programs to the SPI and returning the Investigative Unit back to the Department of Education. Here’s the Fact Sheet: s.2620ed_aspassedcow.pdf

LD23 Chairman Jim O'Connor: One of our responsibilities of the office we hold is to choose the candidate or candidates you personally support and do what we are able to assist them in their election or re-election efforts. One of the most burdensome is the collection of “Petition Signatures” to qualify them for inclusion on the primary ballot. As is the case with our own 10 signature requirement to qualify for the ballot for the office of PC, this task must be completed no later than the end of May. The number of signatures required, vary for each office sought by our candidates. It is wise to collect 30% more signatures than actually needed. This eliminates the possibility of having submitted signatures subject to challenge and possible disqualification. A very smart way around that added burden on them and ourselves is to have signers execute their petition signature online with the Secretary of State's Office. If petition signers choose this on line process, 100% of the signatures will be accepted without challenge. Click on https://apps.azsos.gov/apps/election/eps/petition/VoterPetnAuth.aspx# Once on this page of the AZSOS website enter your AZ Drivers license number, your date of birth, your first and last names and click SUBMIT. You will then be asked to confirm your address by clicking the Yes or No Box. After that, a field of all filed candidates available for you to sign their nominating petitions will appear. Choose the candidate of your preference, or in the case of State House Representative two (2) candidates, by clicking on their name. The final page will ask for your email address. Many of our LD 23 candidates are still in need of additional signatures. We ask that you and voting family members, friends and neighbors use this preferred system of signing candidate nominating petitions. This is a bullet proof way to ensure our candidates qualify to be included on our August Primary ballot.
GOP-Strategist-Leaves-Republican-Party-Video “…OUCH! Republican strategist Mary Matalin discusses Donald Trump and her decision to change her party affiliation…. “With All Due Respect.” …With all due respect, they, the GOP elite and many others, didn’t want Ted Cruz as president either. They didn’t get Jeb Bush or Marco Rubio so now they take their balls and go home? Every election cycle seems to highlight the counterproductive conservative voting base. This primary process has been a three ring circus and it doesn’t look as if it is going to get any better….”
Former-Mexican-President-Fox-Apologizes-For-Trump-Insults-Invites-Billionaire-South-Of-The-Border In a sudden about-face, former Mexican president Vicente Fox has apologized for making derogatory and profane comments about Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump earlier this year, and even extended an invitation to go south of the border. In an interview with Breitbart News, the former leader partially buried the hatchet that he used to beat Trump over the head about the candidate's plans to have a wall built on Mexico's border with the United States.
Romney Will Not Back Trump, 'Dismayed' About Rise Of Populism Mitt Romney has no intention to support either Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump and said Thursday that he is “dismayed” by populism on both sides of the aisle. “I see way too much demagoguery and populism on both sides of the aisle and I only hope and aspire that we’ll see more greatness,” the former governor and 2012 Republican presidential nominee said at an awards gala for American Friends of Hebrew University, The Washington Examiner reports. He said, “I’m certainly going to be hoping that we find someone who I have my confidence in who becomes nominee. I don’t intend on supporting either of the major party candidates at this point.”
LAT: “Huma Abedin, a close aide to Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton, was questioned last month by FBI agents investigating whether classified material was mishandled on the private email server used by the former secretary of State and her aides, according to a person familiar with the investigation. Abedin was interviewed for about two hours at the FBI’s field office in Washington on April 5, according to the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity because the investigation is ongoing.”
US-Military-Operating-Ground-Yemen-Pentagon-Confirms For the first time, the Pentagon on Friday acknowledged publicly that the U.S. military is operating on the ground in Yemen. Navy Capt. Another Beltway Establishment Republican loser and has-been Bill Kristol plans coup of people's nominee Donald Trump -- 'Never Trump' ringleader plots 3rd-party challenge “ Donald Trump may have cleared the nomination path of other Republican presidential candidates, but to Bill Kristol, editor of the Weekly Standard – and one of the neoconservative movement's biggest names and loudest voices – the billionaire businessman is still a no-go who ought to be overtaken by a third-party person. Kristol's Twitter account Thursday was awash with recent postings against Trump and for a third-party candidate, like former Sen. Tom Coburn or Sen. Ben Sasse, R-Neb. He wrote in one tweet: "I registered this domain months ago: neithertrumpnorhillary.com . I guess now we need to get to work. Could use help! @BenSasse, @GovHaleySC."Continue Reading.....
Congresswoman Martha McSally has returned from leading a group of women Members of Congress to Afghanistan, where the lawmakers met with troops and Afghan leaders and received updates about the security situation in the region. McSally also delivered cards written by Tucson school kids to deployed servicewomen thanking them for their sacrifices and service. “We’ve invested a lot of blood and treasure into Afghanistan. It’s a country that has immense importance to our national security due to the presence of now close to a dozen terrorist organizations, many of which are a threat to our security and homeland. It was crucial to hear from commanders in theater about the risks of this Administration's direction to draw down from 9,800 to 5,500 troops in the next six months. I returned with added resolve that we need to learn lessons from walking away in Iraq, which created the vacuum now filled by ISIS. The President must have a strategy that starts with an objective to protect Americans, followed by an assessment of what capabilities and number of troops and civilians that are required instead of an arbitrary cap that results in lots of creative counting and increased risk. I also know first-hand the sacrifices our deployed service members make, so it was an honor to thank in-person the men and women, including many from Arizona, serving there to keep our country safe.” Trip photos HERE.
The Labor Department Reports The U.S. Economy added 160,000 jobs in April, below expectations for 202,000 jobs. The unemployment rate remained at 5.0% as expected. Meanwhile, the labor force participation rate fell to 62.8% from 63.0%. FoxBusiness.com
Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus on the April jobs report: “This disappointing jobs report shows this is a hollow recovery that has left too many Americans behind. Eight years of liberal Democrat policies have failed to produce prosperity for middle class families. President Obama has delivered the weakest period of growth since the 1930s, but Hillary Clinton thinks he doesn’t get enough credit and wants to double down on his failed agenda. Struggling Americans will never get ahead under Hillary Clinton, whose plans economists say will further lower wages, destroy jobs, and slow growth. We need a Republican president in the White House who will grow opportunity for every American and get our economy back to full strength.”

ARIZONA ELECTED OFFICIAL SPEAK OUT
Please comply with the 300 word limit policy. If statements exceeds the limit, it will be edited.
Phoenix City Councilman Sal DiCiccio: My work on the city council has been successful in many ways including:
- Creating the best model in the nation for 24hr permitting and inspections
- Protecting small business owners from a new taxing district forced on them by big government
- Requesting the State Attorney General investigate a transit director accused of fraud. That action froze a $200,000 golden parachute politicians were recommending
I have made a commitment to fight and protect you and your tax dollars. That commitment to you has the government insiders and unions once again, trying to stop my reforms. Bottom line, they want your money and I am in the way. My priorities remain fiscal accountability, public safety and preserving our communities. I will remain focused on protecting your money and in preserving our future. Your continued support will help ensure another four years of fulfilling these promises and more.
It is always difficult to ask for help and I appreciate all of your support, past and future. But, keeping government honest is only possible with your continued support for my re-election.
