Measles Traced To Detention Center For many months, conservatives and Republicans have been trying to warn the public that the incoming flood of immigrants, coupled with our existing illegal immigration problem, posed a serious health risk to America. Now it looks like these warnings were correct as the Casa Grande Dispatch has reported that an outbreak of measles in Arizona has been traced to the local detention facility for illegal immigrants. There are now 11 confirmed cases of measles, and it is likely that more cases will continue to be reported.
Arizona Needs 10,000 Qualified Individuals Who Will Work On Election Day. The 2016 election cycle is going to be busier than ever as America elects a new President. This means Arizona could see record levels of voter participation. With more than 1,500 polling locations and seven positions needed per location, Secretary of State Michele Reagan is urging Arizonans to become an integral part of the process and join the ranks of those who serve as paid poll workers. “As we approach the August and November elections it’s possible that more Arizona voters participate in the process than we have seen in a long time,” said Reagan. “The simple truth is that poll workers are on the front lines of our democracy as they ensure our elections are run efficiently and fairly. Compensation varies, but each county pays their workers for their service. With more than 3.3 million registered voters in Arizona, voter turnout could reach 80 percent in the General Election with more than 2 million voters participating. With thousands of polling places scattered in every corner of the state, I would encourage those who would like to have a front row seat on election day to contact their local election officials and find out how they can get involved.” “To sign up as a poll worker, or to learn more about qualifications, training, responsibilities and compensation visit: www.azsos.gov or sign up: http://bit.ly/24AhNfy.

Secretary of State Michele Reagan-Wont-Issue-Updated-Manual-Election-Workers ahead of the 2016 primary and general elections despite a legal requirement that it be done, her office said this week. The manual, referred to as the “Election Bible” by poll workers, describes in layman’s terms how to carry out elections. It includes directions on the use of election equipment and instructions ranging from how to assist voters to how to establish polling places and handle spoiled ballots.
Yavapai County PC Jim Dutton: No doubt many of you are receiving literature in the mail attacking Kelli Ward as a liberal, leftist, radical. These mailings are coming from the Arizona Grass Roots Action PAC – headquartered in Alexandria, VA.(Official PAC Name: ARIZONA GRASSROOTS ACTION PAC . Location: Alexandria, Va 22314. Industry: Republican/Conservative Treasurer: Lisa Lisker. FEC Committee e ID: C00558445 (documents filed at the FEC)

The mailings carry inflammatory statements about Kelli Ward not supporting our troops because she voted against a bill that would provide funding. Not supporting the bill was the RIGHT thing to do in this case because John McCain had defended wording that strips US Citizens of their right to "due process" as protected in the Constitution. Just because a bill provides needed funding doesn't make it a good bill. If you want to know how bills like this and the Patriot Act affect US Citizens, you need look no further than Arizona citizen LaVoy Finicum who was publicly executed by his Government without even a chance of surrendering or having his day in court. The FEDs have since arrested 50+ people who were present but did not necessarily participate in the protest. What charge you ask? They don't need a charge (due in large part to McCain's failure to protect American citizens and defend the Constitution) the government simply labels them "domestic terrorists" and their rights disappear. In my opinion, John McCain must go or our rights and freedoms will be doomed. Especially if he gets to serve with his "rock star" Hillary Clinton as President. Is Kelli Ward perfect? Of course not, nobody is, however it is obvious by these attack ads who McCain fears. Please vote with your head and not your heart.

Former LD13 Chairman Robert Branch: Bias Judge, Trump, and Stanford - Bias does not equal racist. Explain this to me, a judge gives a very light sentence to a Stanford student convicted of rape, and every media outlet is questing the judge’s bias because the judge is a Stanford grad and Stanford athlete. On the same news cast, Trump is saying a judge is bias in his case because of the judge’s Hispanic heritage, the judge’s membership in La Raza, and that the judge is a Hillary supporter, and Trumps viewed as a racist?

The Republican National Committee (RNC) has launched Platform.gop, a new website where all Republicans can offer their input on what should be included in the Republican Party platform that will be written at the 2016 Republican National Convention this July, according to Chairman Reince Priebus. SEE Platform.gop “With Platform.gop, every Republican has an opportunity to share with our Platform Committee their views on the issues that are most important to them,” said Chairman Priebus. “Over the past three years, the RNC has already taken in feedback from over 500,000 individuals about the direction of our Party, and this website will allow us to hear even more. While Democrats are letting party insiders write their platform behind closed doors, Platform.gop is proof of our Party’s philosophy of listening to the voice of the people and honoring the democratic process.”
Obama-Burns-Everything …President Barack Obama’s lackluster economy struck another victory for failure this Monday when Freightliner Trucks, a truck manufacturer and subsidiary of Daimler Trucks North America, announced plans to layoff an additional 800 plant employees in North Carolina. “The cuts — 600 at the Mount Holly plant and 200 at the Gastonia Freightliner parts and distribution facility — will be effective on or before July 1, the Portland, Ore.-based company says,” reported the Charlotte Business Journal. The reason for the cuts was an expected 15 percent slowdown in retail sales. Moreover, this was the second cutback this year, as Freightliner had laid off an additional 2,186 plant workers nationwide at the start of the year.
Book Reveals Secret Service’s Weird Plan To Protect Bill Clinton… You Won’t Believe From Who …He also wrote that Clinton “has a ‘Jekyll and Hyde’ personality that left White House staffers scared stiff of her explosive — and even physical — outbursts.” The possibility of a violent and potentially harmful outburst from Clinton against former President Bill Clinton was so real that “Secret Service agents had discussions about the possibility that they would have to protect Bill from his wife’s physical attacks,” as it was their duty to protect from anyone who would cause him harm, even his own wife and first lady.
Hillary-Clinton:The-Unpopular, Corrupt, Shamelss Habitual Liar Nominee-Democrats-Deserve: …And lo, it came to pass: As of last night, Hillary Clinton is officially the Democratic Party's presumptive nominee for President of the United States. Setting aside her party's elite "super delegate" insurance policy, Clinton has now secured a majority of pledged delegates, which reflect the will of primary voters. And despite falling to Bernie Sanders in a startling 23 nominating contests, the former Secretary of State has attracted roughly 3.7 million more votes than the Vermont Senator nationwide. Congressman Jeff Flake: Border Bank Closures: The Arizona Republic is reporting that Sen. Flake led a bipartisan letter to federal officials warning about the anti-business impact of tougher border banking policies that are designed to curb money laundering by criminals, including those operating in Mexico. Read the full story here.
· Key Takeaway: “The letter to Thomas Curry, Comptroller of the Currency, cited deep concern about the negative consequences that anti-money-laundering regulations have had on businesses, financial institutions and communities, especially along the border with Mexico.”
· Missing Veterans Funds: The Guam Daily Post is reporting that Sen. Flake and the Iraq- Afghanistan and Persian Gulf Veterans of the Pacific have teamed up to get to get answers on why there are no documents to show how the Guam Veterans Affairs Office spent $3.2 million specifically intended to renovate a local veteran’s cemetery. Read the full story here.
· Key Takeaway: "At least one U.S. senator is heeding the call of a local veterans’ organization to look into the expenditure of $3.2 million in grant funds that the Guam Veteran Affairs Office (VAO) received in 2013 from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Sen. Jeff Flake, R-Arizona, added an amendment to the Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Appropriations bill to account for the use of the grant money which was awarded to help improve the Guam Veterans Cemetery in Piti."
Congresswoman Martha McSally: Everyone in our community deserves the opportunity to find a good-paying job and get ahead. That's why, over the weekend, I was honored to host a local jobs fair at Rincon High School. We had an incredible turnout with over 700 participants and 60 employers taking part. I’ve fought in Congress for initiatives that will foster more job growth in our community, and I'll continue to work to expand opportunity for all Southern Arizonans.
An Historic Visit : In March, I sent a letter inviting Secretary of Ash Carter to visit Fort Huachuca and see what a national security treasure we have. Last week, he took me up on that invitation. During Carter’s Tuesday visit to Fort Huachuca, I met one-on-one with him to discuss the potential for increased missions and partnering with agencies like CBP as well as cooperating with neighboring units at DM and elsewhere and enhanced manned-unmanned training. In addition, I was able to highlight the Fort’s leadership in water conservation and critical missions like the Electronic Proving Ground, intelligence, cyber, unmanned aircraft, signal, NETCOM, and joint and interagency operations. Without a doubt, this historic visit will go a long way toward preserving and expanding our base’s missions and ensuring its future. Read more about Secretary Carter's visit from the Sierra Vista Herald HERE.
Congresswoman Martha McSally: Last week’s district work period featured two town halls, meetings with seniors and local officials, and our office’s inaugural First Responders of Distinction Awards Ceremony, to name just a few events. Some of the events:
· After speaking with young women at Camp Fury, a camp that introduces girls to professions in police and fire services and helps build courage, confidence, and character
· Hosting a reception for the 2016 U.S. Service Academy appointees from Southern Arizona
· Receiving the key to Douglas from outgoing Douglas Mayor Danny Ortega in recognition of our work to expand the Port of Douglas and represent the needs of Douglas residents
· Talking about issues important to seniors at Haven of Douglas Senior Center

· Holding a town hall with employees of Texas Instruments in Tucson

Senator John McCain: “The removal of three senior Phoenix VA officials for wrongdoing is a long-overdue step toward bringing justice and accountability to the agency responsible for providing our veterans with timely and quality care. I hear from veterans in Phoenix and across the country who are tired of learning about misbehaving bureaucrats who have been able to keep their jobs – or in some cases get promoted – despite their roles in the scandal in care at VA hospitals around the country. We have a long way to go to reform this agency and ensure its leaders are able to swiftly fire any employee who denies or delays life-saving medical treatment to our veterans. I won’t stop fighting to bring full accountability to the VA and ensure our veterans have access to the best quality care they have earned and deserve.” McCain is a cosponsor of the Department of Veterans Affairs Accountability Act of 2015 (S.1082), legislation that would allow the VA to quickly remove or demote any VA employee that is found guilty of violating the law, policy, or any other act of wrongdoing while serving at the VA. Senator McCain is also a cosponsor of the Increasing the Department of Veterans Affairs Accountability to Veterans Act of 2015 (S.290), legislation that passed the Senate Veterans Affairs Committee unanimously in December that would make certain the VA holds corrupt VA executives accountable for their actions by reducing the pensions of executives convicted of a felony, limiting the amount of paid administrative leave for VA senior executive service employees to only 14 days, and reforming the department's management training program and performance appraisal system for senior executives.
Senator John McCain on the proposed premium increases for 2017 submitted by the insurers still participating in the Arizona exchange to cover steeply rising costs and their increased losses stemming from Obamacare. According to data released by the Department of Health and Human Services, the average increase these insurers propose is more than 53 percent. In particular, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona, which makes up 53 percent of the Arizona market, has requested an “average weighted increase” of nearly 65 percent. The Obamacare marketplace already led UnitedHealth and Humana to exit the marketplace in Arizona after reporting significant losses in previous years: “The proposed premium rate hikes for the so-called Affordable Care Act in the Arizona marketplace confirm what we have known all along: Obamacare is anything but affordable. According to the numbers that the Department of Health and Human Services released today, health insurers providing health care coverage to Arizonans through the Obamacare exchanges need premiums to increase by an average of more than 53 percent to continue covering individuals and families in Arizona. That means hardworking Arizonans could soon face monthly health care bills mounting to hundreds of dollars more per month. What’s worse, Blue Cross Blue Shield, which provides health care to more than half of Arizonans enrolled in Obamacare and is the only remaining provider in eight Arizona counties, is proposing rate hikes as high as 88 percent in order to cover the skyrocketing costs of medical services and increased losses as a result of the health care law’s onerous regulations. With these staggering rate increases, Arizona now holds the dubious distinction of having the highest proposed premium increases for 2017 in the entire country to date.
