The Head Of The Cleveland Police Union Expressed Concerns Friday about officer safety at the upcoming Republican National Convention in the wake of the Dallas murders – while also criticizing politicians for "fact-less rhetoric" he suggested put officers' lives at risk. After a sniper killed five Dallas officers and wounded seven during an anti-police brutality protest, Fox 8 reported that Cleveland Police Patrolmen's Association President Steve Loomis sent a letter to officers saying, "Several State Union leaders ... have expressed their extreme concern for us during the RNC." The Cleveland police chief reportedly agreed to a new request from Loomis to pair up officers ahead of the convention, being held in the city. Loomis urged officers to "remain alert and extremely cognizant." Continue Reading...

Gila County PC Anita Christy: Dr. Kelli Ward; "Spoiler" Alex Meluskey; and John McCain's Relentless Attacks on Kelli Ward. Recently, a supporter of Alex Meluskey stepped into an email that was sent from Gila County Republican Committee Chairman Gary Morris to the GCRC Precinct Committeemen announcing an upcoming PC meeting. This Alex Meluskey Supporter isn't one of our PC's. He took issue with an item that Chairman Morris had included in his email, which was a comment from Yavapai GOP Activist Jim Dutton which appeared in the 7/2/2016 MCRC News Briefs. "WHY doesn't WARD DROP OUT and let somebody with a CONSERVATIVE VOTING RECORD run??WE THE PEOPLE HAVENT EVER AND WILL NOT VOTE FOR LIBERALS RUNNING ASD CONSERVATIVES. Check her voting record then Vote for Alex Meluskey for #AZSEN2016 #DUMPWARDINAZ." Several of our PC's nicely, but firmly, responded to the Supporter, with comments favorable to Mr. Dutton's MCRC post. Since I'm a GCRC PC, here is my response to the Meluskey Supporter:
· Alex Meluskey: Clueless about the National Defense Authorization Act. In this May 23, 2016 video produced by Dan Haggerty, you will see Meluskey, who is running against John McCain and Dr. Kelli Ward, claim that, by far, he is the strongest of all candidates in the areas of national defense and foreign policy. Yet, when asked if he supports the National Defense Authorization Act, he didn't even know what it is. The 2016 budget called for $604.2 billion in spending.
· Gila County Republican Party Votes to Censure Senator McCain. PRESS RELEASE. Contact: Gary P. Morris, Chairman, Gila County Republican Party. For the second time since 2013, the Gila County Republican Party has censured Senator John McCain for his lack of adherence to Republican principles and the desires of his Republican constituents in Gila County. The censure from the May 14 Precinct Committeemen meeting states the Gila County Republican Party cannot, and will not, support Senator McCain in the upcoming elections.
LD22 PC Karen Thomas: At a SCW Forum, I asked Maricopa County Recorder Helen Purcell if anyone had been fired or held accountable for the Glendale fiasco where ballots had to be reprinted twice. She sheepishly said, “No, but the printer gave us a good discount on the reprinting.” I’m sure it wasn’t a $400,000 discount! Ultimately, this was Helen’s responsibility. She should have been on top of every step if not for the first printing then certainly for the second printing to make the same debacle didn’t happen which it did. For the PPE, almost everyone knew the turnout would be huge. This is evidence of how unaware Helen is or how willing she is to turn her responsibilities over to anyone else. Otherwise, she would have fought for a larger budget. I also asked Helen why she would hire a Democrat for such an important position as Elections Director. She said Karen Osborne was the most qualified. Now, do you think a Democrat would EVER hire a Republican for ANY position let alone for such an important one? I don’t think Helen has never done much supervising of the Elections Dept. Aaron Flannery vows to change that. Twice I’ve heard Aaron speak about the changes he will make in the Recorder’s office. I found him to be extremely bright and have no doubt that he is very qualified and definitely will do a better job than Helen has done. To paraphrase: Helen, since you’ve been in office since before the internet, it’s time to GET OUT! It isn’t a retirement home!
Immediate Past Chairman AZGOP Tom Morrissey responding to delegate Lori Hack: At first, this method of credentialing troubled me until I considered the fact that there are those in the ranks of National Delegates who are fighting the will of the majority who have chosen Donald Trump as our candidate and are about trying to undo that fact. As someone who believes in abiding by the rules, I will accommodate this method of credential distribution. By the way, that's the way I am fighting for freedom.
LD22 Delegate Lori Hack to Fellow Delegates on July 8: For those of you who were at or who called in to the AZGOP delegation orientation meeting last night, you may have heard that there will be seating assignments and “daily” issuing of credentials for all Arizona delegates. This has the effect that the AZGOP can now make a daily decision as to whether or not we will be allowed to attend the remainder of the convention. Well, I did a little research today on this rogue behavior from some in our ranks and discovered that this is not normal in any way, shape, or form even though it was pitched that it was directly from the RNC. Please know I have someone looking into this matter. Finally, if you feel at all uneasy with this behavior, please let me know by replying immediately to this email or call me at 602 616-6346

If Hillary Had Been A Soldier, Here's How She Would Have Been Treated Permanent removal of security clearance and kicked out of the military — and that’s the best-case scenario. The double standards are painful. I served ten years as an Army lawyer, and one of my responsibilities was advising the command on matters of military justice, including incidents where soldiers mishandled classified information. And if Hillary Clinton was a soldier, she would lose her security clearance, face administrative action, and face the specter of criminal prosecution…

Seven Ways FBI Contradicted Clinton’s Email Claims The Justice Department this week exonerated Clinton of allegations that she mishandled classified information. A Caption Accompanying a photo of Hillary Clinton in her Armani jacket that is floating around the Internet: “This posting is not to criticize Hillary for giving a speech on income inequality while wearing a $12,500.00 Armani jacket. It is being posted to congratulate Armani for being able to sell a clean potato sack, with sleeves, for $12,500 to a chunky, old, white chick.”
Larry Klayman, a former prosecutor for the U.S. Department of Justice, founder of Judicial Watch and now Freedom Watch, and a former U.S. Senate Candidate in Florida, filed as lead plaintiff a class action lawsuit to redress the incitement, violence and killings of law enforcement and others, as occurred last Thursday in Dallas, Texas. The class action complaint filed today in the the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas (Klayman et. al v. Obama et. al, Civil Action Number 3:16-cv-2010), can be viewed at www.freedomwatchusa.org. Klayman said "It's time that law enforcement, such as the plaintiffs in this case, including myself, come forward by peacefully attempting to use the legal system to redress the incitement, threats and killings provoked by the defendants in this class action case. I am hopeful that I will be joined by other law enforcement to join in the suit. For too long, law enforcement and others, including white and non-white Jews and Christians, have remained silent, scared to speak and act, for fear of being branded racists over the fear of being threatened and harmed by the defendants and their accomplices. This must stop and justice must be done to preserve the integrity of our great nation and to avoid an all out race war that will destroy the freedom that our Founding Fathers dedicated their sacred honor, their fortunes and risked their lives for."
The Republican National Committee (RNC) has put together an ad against Hillary Clinton that contrasts Hillary’s own words in 2015 about her email scandal with clips of FBI Director Comey’s statements in this week’s press conference. Comey ultimately made the recommendation that the Justice Department not prosecute Hillary Clinton for her reckless decision to use a private Blackberry, private email account, and a private server as her means of conducting official State Department communications. However, even in making that recommendation, he offered a brutal assessment of Hillary Clinton’s disregard for the rules and commonsense precautions that should be expected of anyone handling classified materials. Former U.S. Attorney General Michael Mukasey view, the crux of the matter is this: “It is a felony for anyone entrusted with lawful possession of information relating to national defense to permit it, through ‘gross negligence,’ to be removed from its proper place of custody and disclosed. ‘Gross negligence’ rather than purposeful conduct is enough.” Mr. Comey, however, invented a new standard – one that requires “clear evidence that Secretary Clinton or her colleagues intended to violate laws governing the handling of classified information” as the grounds for prosecution. Mukasey’s full argument is worth a read over at the WSJ.
