Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus on the first day of the Democrat National Convention: “This felt more like a convention for Bernie Sanders than for Hillary Clinton, with many of his supporters refusing to embrace her candidacy and the convention floor descending into chaos for most of the day. Throughout this primary, a 74-year old socialist from Vermont has encouraged grassroots Democrats to reject Hillary Clinton’s pay-to-play politics and cronyism, and the deep division that has fostered was on full display. Pointing to growing wealth inequality, millions stuck in poverty, and stagnant wages under President Obama, Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders made the case for why we can’t have four more years of the same failed policies under Hillary Clinton. Only Donald Trump and Mike Pence can bring the change our country so desperately needs, and get our economy working for all Americans.”
Alert to AZ GOPers: The Arizona Dems have put out a memo that reads: “We’ve registered 17,000 more voters than Republicans have so far this year. To put that in prospective, Democrat David Garcia lost to Republican Diane Douglas by 16,000 voters statewide in 20214. Our field program could be the difference between Senator Ann Kirkpatrick or Senator John McCain. And with Arizona being targeted as a major swing state, the new voters we register could be the difference between President Hillary Clinton or President Donald Trump. But to keep this program firing on all cylinders -- we need to lean on you for support.”

LD28 House candidate Mary Hamway: I am running for State House because I feel that District 28 needs a mature and experienced leader to continue taking us in the right direction. Arizona leaders have accomplished many great things these past few years, yet there are areas that still need long-term vision. That is why I started an email series entitled WRONG WAY/RIGHT WAY. In it, I highlight a challenge facing our state, and provide a solution I intend to work towards once elected. Wrong Way - The American Society of Civil Engineers gave Arizona a 'C' grade on its 2015 annual report card when assessing our public infrastructure. However, our roads got the worse grade, receiving a D+, which is unacceptable. Right Way - Arizona has seen great growth over the last decade and it's time to invest in smart infrastructure that will keep it growing. We should evaluate our infrastructure and find efficient ways to improve it. We must plan for Arizona's future. During my time on the Paradise Valley Town Council I served as chairwoman of the town's Water Committee where I worked with residents and a private water company to upgrade old water lines and improve water pressure for fire-fighting. I recently led the charge to update our storm water management systems and I currently serve on the Arizona Power Plant and Line Sighting Committee which conducts part of the public process for permitting power plants and extra high voltage power lines. I've provided leadership on many large projects such as the renovation of the youth sports practice field at Kiva Elementary School and under-grounding the 69KV electric poles along a portion of Scottsdale Road. As your District 28 State House Representative, I will find innovative solutions to our infrastructure problems. Hamway website
