AAARC Chairman Rev Clyde Bowen: Chairman Robert Graham was recently in Flagstaff for a summit, on my birthday Aug11 (which I share with author of "Roots", Alex Haley). Good day to have" A Dialogue on Race", the theme of the Forum. Graham, who is a member of the AZ Commission of African American Affairs was a contribution to this mostly all Black event. The Chairman is a" hands on" guy to be seen and be involved in the inclusion, part of party outreach & The AAARC Vision statement. He also had his picture in the African American " Informant" newspaper that reaches over 100,000 readers. That's doing it Right. Donald Trump recently lectured, talked down to, and insulted African Americans in a terrible not thought out speech. What have you got to lose?, he asked. You're failures, he implied. I'm better than nothing, he inferred. What a warm hearted pitch from a rich white guy in an all white room telling Black People, what it is. Look out folks, don't get trampled by all the brothers & sisters rushing to the polls to vote for Trump! Glad Jack Kemp, who helped launch the AAARC is not here to see his legacy tarnished. No words from Trump to the Black middle class or hard working honest folks like my family, No plan. Robert Graham, Doing it Right. Donald Trump, doing it Wrong.
Refugees-Sue-Pennsylvania-District ‘Did Not Find The School That I Deserved’ …Why should anyone come close to even entertaining the idea of meeting the demands of these refugees? Who is paying the court costs for this and what kind of lawyer would take this case? Is anyone questioning why a 21yr old would demand to attend high school instead of to adult education like american students would be.
RNC Bruce Ash of Arizona: There’s been much speculation whether Republicans can win in November. Considering all of his opponents in this election, however, it's amazing that Donald Trump’s is as close as he is today. Think about it—in past elections our nominees faced only two opponents-- the Democrats and a biased main stream media. In 2016 Trump faces opposition not only from Clinton and her media acolytes but also from the free delegates’ movement, 70 former republican members of congress, former RNC staff, the Bush family and 50 former national security officials. Having to fight on five fronts PLUS Hillary Clinton is unprecedented. Every time Trump says something provocative Clinton, the media and some Republican elites pounce on him. But every time he DOES speak out — the Americans who Trump is trying to reach are listening — and they like what they're hearing.
Trump is the most disruptive political force in the last half century. But Presidential elections have become cultural and Trump is a cultural icon. He scares the GOP old guard to death as well as the Democrats. Republican men and women — Donald Trump’s president presidential campaign is not the end of the GOP but instead the beginning of a new political era.
Republican National Committee (RNC) Chairman Reince Priebus is calling on Hillary Clinton to disavow her support for President Obama’s decision to essentially pay a $400 million ransom to Iran, the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism: “Now that the State Department has admitted the $400 million the Obama Administration secretly sent to Iran was tied to the release of U.S. prisoners, Hillary Clinton must immediately disavow this dangerous blunder or risk putting more Americans in jeopardy. Iran is already trying to capitalize on this egregious mistake by taking more U.S. citizens captive. Clinton’s support for Obama’s Iran ransom reflects the same bad judgement that characterized her foreign policy decision-making as secretary of state, which left the world a more unstable and dangerous place. Anything less than a full-throated repudiation of this horrendous decision will only further prove she lacks the judgement to be president.”

US Sen John McCain: “Cindy and I are very saddened by the news that General John Vessey has passed away and offer our condolences to his family. I’ve worked with and admired a great many flag officers over the years. I’ve never known a finer one than General John W. Vessey. I admired Jack Vessey long before I got to know him personally and had the privilege of working with him. I knew he was very highly regarded by his contemporaries in the military and government. He was respected for his patience and wisdom, his equanimity in difficult situations, and most especially for his genuine and unfailing humility. But the highest praise bestowed on him was the respect of the soldiers he commanded. He was a soldier’s general, a compliment that others have received, but few deserved as much as Jack Vessey did.”…
CD4 Paul Gosar: America's brave men and women in uniform are arguably our nation's greatest assets. They sacrifice their comforts and time with their families—and risk their lives—in order to protect the freedoms of their fellow countrymen. Their unrelenting sacrifice and sense of duty to their homeland are virtues that must be held in the highest regard. Accordingly, our veterans deserve the finest medical care our country can provide. I am committed to working on behalf of all of veterans so that they receive the benefits and care they earned. Arizona is home to one of the largest veteran populations in the nation—many of whom reside in rural areas. During my time in Congress, I have taken steps to ensure our nation’s veterans and their families are treated fairly. In particular, I am a member of the Rural Veterans Caucus, a group of legislators committed to addressing the unique problems, such as access to care, faced by our nation's heroes that are located in geographically remote areas.
In recent years, we have seen a number of troubling issues arise from the Department of Veterans Affairs. From never-ending wait times to data manipulation, it has truly been a low point in this agency’s history. Phoenix VA was, unfortunately, ground-zero for many of these injustices. I have been leading the charge to improve care for our nation's veterans and to clean up the Phoenix VA. House Veteran Affairs Committee Chairman Jeff Miller recently stated, "Paul Gosar was a reliable ally in the fight to expose corruption at the Phoenix VA hospital. He is a strong advocate for Arizona's veterans." Click HERE to learn more about how I'm working on keeping the promise to our nations veterans

Congresswoman Martha McSally: Recently, the Air Force announced that two bases in Tucson, Davis Monthan AFB and the 162nd Air National Guard Fighter Wing housed at Tucson International Airport, are being considered as potential new sites to house relocated F-16 fighter jets. The announcement recognizes Southern Arizona’s unparalleled assets for training air-to-ground aircraft, something I’ve worked relentlessly in Congress to highlight. These aircraft would be a huge addition to our bases and community, and I’m interested in hearing your thoughts. Go to my Facebook page to watch KOLD's coverage of the announcement and let me know what you think. For many around the country, the border is a distant concept. For Southern Arizonans, it’s a reality. That's why I’ve fought hard as chairwoman of the Border and Maritime Security Subcommittee to fix our border strategy and expand cross border trade. Read my op-ed in the Arizona Daily Star about my work to pass four border related bills in the House, including one into law, boost staffing at our ports of entry, and help grow our economy. Standing up for our Women Warriors - History has proven that our military is strongest when it opens opportunity to everyone, men and women. During my 26 years in the Air Force, I fought for equal rights for our female service members and I’ve continued that fight in Congress. As one of only four women lawmakers with combat experience in Congress, I recently sat down with the WASHINGTON POST to discuss my efforts. Click HERE To Read The Full Article.
Ariz Sens John McCain and Jeff Flake sent a letter to U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Inspector General (IG) Rickey Hass regarding the agency’s letter confirming aspects of its review of allegations of waste, fraud and abuse within the Desert Southwest Region (DSW) of the Western Area Power Administration (WAPA) - the subject of an ongoing criminal investigation. In its letter, the IG noted that that DSW had not implemented changes to its procurement practices and that its construction contracts are under review. In their letter, McCain and Flake urge the IG to fully investigate allegations of wrongdoing and ensure transparency is provided to WAPA’s customers. “We are deeply troubled by the fact that DSW has not fully implemented changes to its procurement practices and that its construction contracts have also come into question,” the senators wrote. “We look forward to seeing the results of your office’s comprehensive audit of both of these departments. Providing cost transparency throughout WAPA is of paramount importance to its customer groups.” The response follows the senators’ July letter asking for an update on DOE’s investigation into concerns raised about WAPA’s questionable practices, which have negatively impacted power customers in Arizona.
Congresswoman Martha McSally: The first few weeks of the August district work period has been filled with constituent meetings, tours of local businesses and organizations, town halls, and more. Hearing about Southern Arizona’s water infrastructure at Tucson Water's Southern Avra Valley Storage and Recovery Project. Visiting the dedicated staff and volunteers of the Sisters Helping Sisters program at the Sister Jose Women's Ce. Meeting with Sahuarita School District officials including Superintendent Manuel Valenzuela, Assistant Superintendent Brett Bonner, Governing Board President Kristen Ham, and Assistant Superintendent Scott Downs. US Sen John McCain (R-AZ), Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, on the State Department’s confirmation that the Obama Administration’s $400 million cash payment to Iran was contingent upon the release of American prisoners: “The State Department’s acknowledgment that the Obama Administration’s $400 million cash payment to Iran in January was contingent upon the release of American prisoners in Iran confirms what was already obvious: that the Obama Administration paid ransom to the world’s number one state sponsor of terrorism and has been trying to deny it ever since. The Obama Administration manufactured and manipulated a narrative to sell the reckless Iran deal to the American people. It thanked Iran for its conduct in illegally detaining 10 American sailors in a flagrant violation of international law. And for the last two weeks, the administration has made a mockery of the United States’ long-held policy against paying ransoms and put Americans in danger in the process. Only time will tell to what new embarrassing lows the Obama Administration will stoop to curry favor with our enemies in Iran.”

CONGRESSMAN PAUL GOSAR--You may have seen the overwhelming support for me recently, from Sheriff Joe, to Sarah Palin, to Sen. Cruz, Tom Tancredo and AG Brnovich, to local mayors and others. You may know of my overwhelming ratings and endorsements from the NRA, the ACU, National Right to Life, NFIB, NumbersUDA and so many more. But my real support is you, the true conservatives. My opponent talks of being "compassionate" (remember George Bush "compassionate conservativism" and how he sold us out to the Democrats?) My opponent talks of "working with the other side" and "compromising" which we all know has been done by Republicans for 40 years, leaving us $19 trillion in debt and a failed economy and a disastrous foreign policy. I need volunteers to help make phone calls. Please email email@example.com to volunteer and help me defeat the special interests proppimg up Ray Strauss.
