Republican Briefs

Editor Frosty Taylor     Web Master John Strasser

Jaime Vasquez has announced his CD3 write-in candidacy for the Nov 8 General Election. “I have decided to run for US Congress because Representative Raul Grijalva is still out of touch with the needs of his constituents. He talks about jobs and opportunity for all, but his liberal agenda of wasteful spending, out of control government and unnecessary regulations does the opposite. His district has some of the highest unemployment and poverty rates in America,” Vasquez said. “As a successful small businessman, I will use my knowledge and experience to strengthen our economy and create jobs, so opportunity and prosperity can be within everyone's reach. I know that we need solutions that bring money and power back to the local level. As a Marine veteran, I have the leadership ability our country needs to meet its many challenges. I will be a Representative that stands up for the people. Contact Vasquez at or

Hillary Clinton's Campaign Released Additional Medical Information after questions about her health intensified in the wake of her pneumonia diagnosis late last week. She was diagnosed with mild, non-contagious bacterial pneumonia, her doctor said. GOP nominee Donald Trump earlier in the day surprised the "Dr. Oz Show" studio audience by revealing the results of a recent physical exam. Trump handed Dr. Mehmet Oz a one-page summary of the exam, which was conducted by Dr. Harold N. Bornstein last week. Bornstein is the same hyperbolic doctor who previously said Trump would, if elected, be the healthiest president in history. The campaign plans to share the information from Bornstein on Thursday.

Former Maricopa County Recorder candidate Aaron Flannery: The primary election is over, the canvas is submitted and the results, while close, are final. I will not be asking for a recount. I want to sincerely thank everyone who volunteered, supported, and voted for me. This race was never about whether I felt Helen Purcell was still capable of doing the job, but rather the belief that a fresh pair of eyes would be better suited in this very important, yet very unnoticed office. It is clear that voters wanted both experience and new ideas. Now, I am not one to take my ball and go home. I feel that I have some viable ideas that still need to be implemented. I will continue to press for these changes through the legislature and the Recorder's office in whatever role I am asked to, even if it is just as a constituent. We have less than 60 days until the general election and must come together to ensure we keep the office in the capable hands of the hardest working and classiest County Recorder Maricopa has ever had. Please join me in supporting the reelection of Helen Purcell.

LD25 PC Karen Gevaert: The Nov. 8, election is fast approaching along with the mailing of the early ballots. (Oct. 12)  We now have a law, HB2023 that is suppose to "maintain election integrity," as stated by Gov. Doug Ducey.  HB2023 BANS collecting voter's Mail-in-ballots, and is now a Class 6 Felony.  Unfortunately, the bill left out who is to enforce the law.  (Maricopa County Records) Helen Purcell did not direct her workers to enforce the law. So where is the enforcement??  Thanks to Wes Harris - who did organize citizens watch groups to observe unusual activities at the polls.  This Nov. 8, election is a CRUCIAL
time for America.  If you are concern please contact these officials (politely):
   1.  Maricopa County Attorney Bill Montgomery
   2.  MC Recorder Helen Purcell:
   3.  Gov. Doug Ducey: or
   4.  AZGOP Chairman Robert Grahamrgforazgop@gmail.

The Republican National Committee's Data Has Been Hacked, A Republican Congressman Tells CNN. A top RNC official immediately disputed that statement. Rep. Michael McCaul, Texas Republican, told CNN's Wolf Blitzer on "The Situation Room" that he learned from intelligence briefings that hackers have targeted the RNC similarly to how they struck the Democratic National Committee. But Sean Cairncross, the RNC's chief operating officer said, "There has been no known breach of the RNC's cyber network."

National Association of Former Border Patrol Officers (NAFBPO) Chairman Zack Taylor: Anybody want to guess where the Heroin was grown, processed, packaged and made ready for final shipment into the United States? Well, if it is true that 80% of the Heroin encountered in Wisconsin originates in Mexico there is a good chance the New Jersey Heroin also came from there. For sure, he didn't pick it up at CVS, Rite Aid or Walgreens.  If you have Sanctuary Cities and Illegal Aliens in all likelihood you have Heroin. Congressman Paul Gosar is the fourth member of Arizona’s congressional delegation to publically oppose Proposition 205 which would legalize recreational marijuana in Arizona.

P.W. Higgs of Casa Grande: The Casa Grande Chamber of Commerce has NEVER MET a Bond issue that they haven't loved. Follow the money. CGESD got Bond money in 2006 for the same building purposes. Shrinking enrollments in public schools and Charter School growth since that time in our community should mean lower Administration overhead and a strong propulsion toward school consolidations with regard to maximizing physical classroom space. None of this has happened; even in our recent disastrous, declining local economy with a vastly reduced tax base. Millions upon millions of dollars in new construction is not warranted at this time. This big money grab only demonstrates, once again, that there is a need for change in District leadership, as well as, in the leadership of a lackluster Chamber, unable to identify itself separately from big government spending, for more than two decades. This has allowed the School District and other taxing entities to remain unchecked and to continue the culture of a big spending, freewheeling, self-licking ice cream cone. cg-chamber-supports-cgesd-bond-election

Congressman David Schweikert opposes Proposition 205 which would legalize recreational marijuana in Arizona. "At the ballot box this November, Arizona voters will make a decision of great significance whether or not to legalize the use of recreational marijuana. Before voters make their decision, I hope they will look to other states that have decriminalized recreational marijuana, and that are now seeing the avalanche of unintended consequences," said Schweikert.

The Arizonans for Responsible Drug Policy PAC was formed to actively oppose any initiative that would legalize the recreational use of the drug marijuana in the state of Arizona. Visit for more information.
