5-18-17 Briefs

Long-Time FBI Director Robert-Mueller-Named-Special-Counsel To Investigate Russian Meddling In Election Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein appointed a former FBI director as special counsel to oversee the investigation into Russian efforts to influence the presidential election, agreeing to Democrats’ demands to elevate the probe and put it outside President Trump’s political chain of command. Mr. Rosenstein tapped Robert Mueller, whose 12-year tenure at the head of the FBI earned him praise from both Democrats and Republicans who said he is above reproach.

Rex-Tillerson-Gives-John-McCain-A Much-Deserved-Smack DownLike a giant hand swatting a pesky fruit fly, Tillerson hit back: You don’t know what you’re talking about, John.

Sen-John-McCain- Said-President-Donald-Trumps-Scandals-Now-Watergate-Size …McCain turned up the rhetoric on embattled President Donald Trump on Tuesday night, saying the building scandals that have put his White House in turmoil are now "Watergate size and scale."

The Methane Rule Canary- How McCain Has Endangered Hundreds of People … Republicans in Congress have repealed 13 Obama Administration regulations thanks to a potent tool known as the Congressional Review Act. But last week the Senate failed to kill a costly energy rule …

Tom Morrissey, Past Chairman AZ GOP: I have been invited to address the Rim Country Republican Club at 11 am, Memorial Day (May 29) at Tiny's Restaurant, Highway 260 in Payson. My talk will be about my experiences with the Establishment in our party when I was State Chairman and what really goes on behind closed doors, far from the eyes and ears of the grassroots and true believers. There are many in the Establishment who are dedicated to maintaining the status quo, which had been chiseled in stone until the rise of Donald Trump.  I feel that it is incumbent on those of us who have an understanding of this, to make certain that we don't just stand around and allow these folks to have free reign as they proceed in their quest to silence our president, and us. I will also be speaking about my upcoming book, Shadow Wolves. It is the first in an adventure series, co-written with conservative actor and master martial artist, Steven Seagal, and set in Arizona.  The story line is about the bureaucratic government corruption in the “Fast and Furious” gun running case, Islamic terrorists who are operating within our borders and Deep State operatives attempting to sabotage the efforts to undo the harm done to our country by previous administrations. It is fiction based on fact, about the existential challenges facing modern day America.

Former LD13 Chairman Robert Branch: The little BBQ that we held to help raise money and awareness of a local charity “Operation Enduring Gratitude” has taken on legs. Or goal was simple, hold a BBQ that raises awareness of a local charity, get some people to volunteer to help local vets, and raise money for those vets. We thought we would be able to raise hundreds of dollars for that charity, but now I am pleased to report that, through your generosity and the generosity of others, we have raise thousands of dollars for that charity and we have many people stepping up and volunteering to help the vets. God bless you all! I invited some Airman from Luke AFB to attend the BBQ. Several came, along with TSgt Josh Hoffman (Josh) and his family. Josh then went back to his school at Luke (The John J. Rhodes Airman Leadership School at Luke Air Force Base), told them about the BBQ, and they raise an additional $1300 for the charity. We will be holding two more BBQs this year (in the fall-winter) to support other local charities that help our local vets. So, if you have a specific charity that you support that helps local vets, please let me know and I will consider that firing up my smoker for that charity! Once again, God bless you all. Editor’s Note: Branch is also a member of the Maricopa County Parks & Rec Commission.

He is gonna need your help. The media, the Senate, the House of representatives, the intelligence agencies, the Russians, ISIS, and North Korea have now fighting against the same man. Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton’s appearance on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” last Thursday.

Warren Woodward of Sedona: I take great pleasure in introducing ground-breaking new evidence that proves everyone's health is being affected by "smart" meters. This evidence is a world first, and shifts the debate from whether anyone should have to pay a fee to refuse a "smart" meter to: When does the safety recall start? In EKG Proof That "Smart" Meters Affect the Human Heart you will see me connected to an EKG monitor while resting near an Elster brand "smart" meter of the type used by APS here in Arizona. When the "smart" meter transmits, the EKG shows that my heart rhythm is interrupted. Looking at the results of the EKG is startling. We now know that even if people are not showing outward symptoms, their bodies are being unnecessarily and involuntarily stressed by "smart" meters. There must be a complete safety recall of all "smart" meters.   See EKG proof that 'smart' meters affect the human heart

Trey-Gowdy-Pulls-Name-As -Next-FBI-Director Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., on Monday said he will not be a candidate to oversee the Federal Bureau of Investigation in the wake of former Director James Comey’s firing by President Donald Trump. “Our country and the women and men of the FBI deserve a director with not only impeccable credentials but also one who can unite the country as we strive for justice and truth. Democratic-Agenda: Impeach-Donald-Trump Following Democrats' historic defeat at the ballot box in 2016, the Democratic agenda has been reduced to impeaching President Donald Trump. California Rep. Maxine Waters (D.) has been a leading voice in the movement to impeach Trump. During a Tax March protest in April, Waters led an "Impeach 45" chant, referencing Trump, the 45th president. A few days later, Waters went on MSNBC and said she never called for impeachment. She has since called for Trump's impeachment.

The National Governors Association (NGA), National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) and National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) on states’ priorities for the 2018 Farm Bill: “Governors, legislators and chief state agricultural officials urge Congress to prioritize reauthorizing the Farm Bill before the current one expires in 2018. Together we have long advocated for certainty and stability for America’s farmers and ranchers, who affect the economic stability and security of not just their communities, but the nation and even the world. Congress plays a vital role in ensuring a bountiful agricultural economy, especially amid the farm industry’s current downturn. We ask you to provide these hard-working producers the tools they need to succeed. Collectively we remain committed to a strong state-federal partnership that provides security for the people who feed and fuel America.”

Senator John McCain on the agreement reached between the Tohono O’odham Nation and the State of Arizona to settle the long-running dispute regarding the Desert Diamond Casino West Valley: “While I continue to oppose the air-dropping of Indian casinos on land that is not contiguous to an existing reservation, the agreement reached by Governor Ducey and the Tohono O’odham Tribe brings to an end years of prolonged litigation over this issue and eliminates the need for federal legislation. The controversy involving the Tohono O'odham gaming facility in Glendale has divided Arizona's Indian tribes for years, and I hope this agreement will heal those divisions.”

Yuma County Republicans Chairman candidate Dr. Connie Uribe: My focus, if elected, is twofold. The first is education. I’m not talking about going around the community talking to students. The Republicans themselves need to be educated. The most lacking in Yuma are the PCs. PCs will have training on a regular basis. And we will expand our recruitment techniques by picking up that 30% we’ve lost, personally addressing their concerns. They’ll be shown their Party is active and needs their support. It’s not about collecting warm bodies. It’s about empowering the PCs, people who spread the word about our conservative values. This means collaborating with our colleagues in LD4 and LD13, areas known to be predominantly conservative. We need to learn from others, not rest on our perceived laurels. We will instruct the PCs in what I call the “Phoenix Approach”. This informs confused citizens about what Americanism really means and, in doing so, Progressive misinformation goes down in flames. The truth then rises from the ashes and a new conservative is born. A more complicated form of this method will be used on our elected officials who insist on veering toward the Liberal side.

The second focus is accountability. A good leader doesn’t fly by the seat of his pants. He empowers those around him and is on constant lookout for talent within the organization. And the most significant thing I’ve learned since becoming a Republican is, if you actively support a Democrat when there’s a Republican on the ballot, that’s the same as openly criticizing that Republican, something Ronald Reagan told us not to do. Anyone committing this affront to our Party will be held accountable. If we want conservatives in office, we must support conservatives for office.
