Activist Marne Haney: This may be instructive for any 'forgetful' conservatives out there, who are complaining that Trump hasn't turned around this 'yyuuge' progressive ship, that RINOs and Dems have been driving since at least 1988.   If you want to complain and blame someone, at least have the decency to blame the lying RINOs and uninformed voters who keep electing them!!  Until we stop electing RINOs, Republicans DO NOT control the House or the Senate, so please stop that LIE as well......thank you! Arizonans Will Soon Track Political Spending using Secretary of State Michele Reagan’s “See the Money” interactive web platform.  The new tool in the final stages of development will include expanded functionality made possible through a partnership with the Citizens Clean Elections Commission. The partnership between the Secretary of State’s office and the Clean Elections Commission ensures citizens will be able to explore campaign finance information to learn about the people who write checks and politicians that cash them. “Our office is excited about continuing the long-running collaboration we’ve had with CCEC, especially on a project as important as this,” said Secretary Reagan.  “Educating voters is a priority for both of our organizations and our See the Money website will revolutionize the way people view campaign contributions and political spending. “The Clean Elections Commission looks forward to working with Secretary Reagan to expand access to information critical to voters,” said Steve Titla, Chairman of the CCEC.  “Working together we hope to bring information to voters to allow them to make informed decisions at the ballot box.” www.azsos.gov (602) 542-4285

Activist Stephen Sivigliano: Even though some say that it doesn't do much, I was really pleased to watch Trump sign that bill yesterday.  It was especially heart-warming to see him greet those Little Sisters of the Poor.  I had to pull out the Kleenex.   Their necks are no longer under the spiked golf shoes of Obummer.  The owners of Chic-fil-a and Hobby Lobby are probably happy too, but especially those thousands of wedding photographers and cake bakers who have been attacked by liberals.

For The Third Consecutive Year the  Governor's Youth Commission (GYC) partnered with youth and organizations across Arizona to rank number one for Global Youth Service Day (GYSD). GYSD is the largest service event in the world, which works to mobilize millions of youth to improve their communities through service. Out of 135 participating countries, Arizona logged the most youth-led projects. By participating in and celebrating GYSD, the GYC is part of a global effort to engage youth addressing some of the world's most critical issues.  "I could not be more proud of the 51 Youth Commissioners that not only lead here in Arizona but inspire global youth service," stated Governor Doug Ducey. "I encourage youth across Arizona to consider their role in serving our many diverse communities and ways they can partner with the GYC."

GOP-Rep-Who-Lost-Both-Legs-In-Combat-Takes-To House-Floor; Goes-Nuclear-On-Dems-For-Health-Care-Lies Rep. Brian Mast (R-FL) put his full support behind the GOP’s American Health Care Act during a scathing House floor speech on Thursday, accusing Democrats of “lying” about the legislation’s provisions on pre-existing conditions. Walking to the podium on two prosthetic legs, the Army veteran made his case for the AHCA.“I too am a person with pre-existing conditions. And I believe it’s not just something I should do, it’s a responsibility for me to be the staunchest advocate for people out there who have pre-existing conditions,” Mast said. “And that is why I am such an ardent supporter of this bill.”

Dems-Sing- To-The-GOP-On-The-House-Floor-As-They-Repealed-Obamacare The first step was taken Thursday in a long series of steps needed to repeal Obamacare, as the House passed the Trump-backed American Health Care Act (AHCA) by a narrow margin of 217-213. The move still has many hurdles to become law, particularly once it enters the U.S. Senate. This newest legislation is also precarious for Republicans in swing and blue states. Democrats felt obliged to rub this point in as it became clear that the GOP health care bill would pass the House. As the final votes were being tallied, Democrat members of the House sang and waved at the GOP reps. They sang “Na na na na, hey hey hey, goodbye,” taunting their fellow congressmen for the risky move.

Congressman Trent Franks: Filibuster-Rules-Should-Be-Revisited

Congressman Paul Gosar: Infrastructure Won't Be on Time without American Mines

Congressman Trent Franks: President Donald Trump recently announced the nomination of former U.S. Representative Scott Garrett to serve as president of the Export-Import Bank. Franks statement: “Former Congressman Scott Garrett is truly one of the most noble human beings I have ever had the privilege of serving alongside in the United States Congress. There is no doubt in my mind that President Trump could not have picked a more outstanding individual. Scott will ensure that needed reforms will be brought to the Export-Import Bank.”

Sen John McCain on the passing of Pete Garcia, former President and CEO of Chicanos Por Las Causa: “I am saddened to learn of the passing of Pete Garcia, a true leader in Arizona’s Hispanic community. Pete served as the President and CEO of Chicanos Por Las Causa for nearly 25 years and worked for a multitude of coalitions and organizations in support of Latinos. Cindy and I extend our prayers and condolences to Pete’s family, friends and colleagues.”

LD11 RepMark Finchem: Since 1976 the Navajo Generating Station has been a secure, stable and economic source for electrical power and based on the recent Arizona legislative hearing panel in Page, AZ, there is a place for NGS. Finchem said, "While each of the people who gave testimony during the April 28 Page community meeting have helped by sharing their concerns and providing greater insights about questions we will have to address, I am greatly disturbed to think the Hopi People will face an economic catastrophe and displacement. I do not believe allowing the NGS to prematurely close would be in the best interest of the citizens of Arizona. I am deeply distressed to see that the Navajo Nation appears to be on the verge of facing a tough period of their history. Today the radical environmentalist special interest lobby to close all coal plants, after Trump declared the war on coal ended. If Legislators and community leaders from across our State do not stand shoulder-to-shoulder with our “water tribes” throughout our State; then once again people’s lives, families, entire communities will be forced to relocate to secure new jobs, new careers, basic services. Radical environmentalist suggesting coal ash was a problem, but little did they know SRP makes wall board out of the coal ash. NGS plays a vital role in the economies of the Navajo Nation, the Hopi Tribe and many other Arizona Native American communities. It supplies power and water to farms in Pinal and Pima County, in our District. Continued operation at full capacity of the NGS is fundamental to the economic future of these stakeholders. While radical environmentalists and globalist-thinking politicians who place ideology above sovereignty, and the welfare of American citizens may call the destruction of NGS, Kayenta Mines, and associated energy networks acceptable collateral damage in the fake environmental war, I do not!" said Finchem. Please email Secretary Zinke, to stop the war on coal, and keep the plant open for 5 more years. Sign the petition here: petition: halt-the-war-on-mining-jobs

Arizona Superintendent of Public Instruction Diane Douglas will kick off “Teacher Appreciation Week,” beginning on Mon, May 8, by visiting five different schools in the greater metro Phoenix area. Douglas will visit with teachers in their classrooms, take tours of the schools, as well as deliver the morning announcements over the public address system. “There is no more important job than being a teacher,” Douglas said. “Being able to go around the state and meet so many of our state’s teachers is by far my favorite part of being Superintendent. I’m looking forward to visiting these schools and gathering more ideas on how I can best represent teachers at the state level.” Douglas will be attending these five schools:

May 8 – Sahuaro Ranch Elementary, Peoria Unified School District

May 9 – Apollo High School, Glendale Union High School District

May 10 – Heard Elementary School, Phoenix Elementary School District

May 11 – Glenn L. Downs Elementary School, Cartwright School District

May 11 – Marc Atkinson Middle School, Cartwright School District

“Teacher Appreciation Week” comes on the heels of Douglas’ recent announcement to combat the teacher shortage crisis and increase teacher salaries by extending and expanding Prop 301. Her proposal would provide a permanent revenue stream for teacher raises, which would include an immediate $5,000 a year pay increase to the average Arizona teacher. Providing a substantial teacher salary raise is the best way to show our teachers that we value their tireless effort in shaping and developing the lives of our Arizona youth,” Douglas said. “In my three tours across the entire state, I have overwhelmingly heard from the people of Arizona that we need to pay our teachers more. By bringing this proposal forward and hopefully to the ballot, I hope to honor both the wishes of Arizona citizens, as well the talented educators that teach our beloved children every day.”
