Truth-About-Swamp-Or-Drain-Baby-Drain If swamp is at risk, the fix is in! The fixers are Robert Mueller and James Comey. What I am suggesting to you is Mueller and Comey are not in the center of this by accident. The goal of this attempted coup d’etat  of an elected president, by the Red Fascists of the left, for the first time in American History; will alter your life forever. Why? Because if President Trump is allowed to enact his agenda, the economy will soar. And that growth & wealth will end the democrat party. Before Trump, the swamp had a plan to end Israel and collapse the economy, which gives government more control over your life. Trump was not expected, and he is a mortal threat to the corruption of the Swamp establishment.

The-Russia-Influence-Controversy-That-John-McCain-Doesn’t-Want-You-To-Know-About The same foreign lobbyists and Russians tied to the Trump probe were once associated to Senator John McCain when he ran for president. McCain, always the political maverick, recently bucked his own Republican Party by refusing to defend President Donald Trump in the Russia investigation and even suggesting the matter was reaching epic proportions.

Ken Cuccinelli II – President Senate Conservatives Action: McConnell betrays us again -- Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) released his draft health care bill today and it's another betrayal. We are still learning the details of the plan and there is much we don't know, but one thing is clear – the plan completely fails to repeal Obamacare as we were promised. After writing the bill behind closed doors, McConnell has once again done exactly the opposite of what he told the voters he would do. MitchCare keeps Obamacare's coverage mandates, it keeps Obamacare's costly Medicaid spending, and it keeps Obamacare's subsidies. If it passes, it will lead to endless bailouts, price increases, and debt – all blamed on Republicans and the free market. Thankfully, Senators Mike Lee (R-UT), Ted Cruz (R-TX), Rand Paul (R-KY), and Ron Johnson (R-WI) aren't playing along. In a joint statement, the four senators said: "Currently, for a variety of reasons, we are not ready to vote for this bill, but we are open to negotiation and obtaining more information before it is brought to the floor. There are provisions in this draft that represent an improvement to our current healthcare system but it does not appear this draft as written will accomplish the most important promise that we made to Americans: to repeal Obamacare and lower their healthcare costs." MitchCare keeps both the root and the branch of Obamacare, which breaks the promise McConnell made and puts millions of American families at risk. If you haven't sent an email to all 52 Republican senators urging them to repeal Obamacare, please do it now. Our advocacy system is free to use and makes it easy for you to send messages to Senate Republicans with just a few clicks. Click here to send your emails. We will keep you updated as we learn more about the Senate health care plan and let you know what you can do to help repeal Obamacare

Long-time GOP Activist Phil Mason - who recently moved to cool Colorado - is having a  chuckle as he watches soaring temperatures in Phoenix. He writes: “High today of 99 - overnight low of 62 followed by a high tomorrow of 68 and overnight low of 51.  We have laid in additional supplies in case of a blizzard, even though that seems remote.”

Maricopa County Republicans Chairman Chris Herring: This past Saturday I attended the second meeting of the AZGOP Executive Committee. The meeting was held in Flagstaff and served as reminder of the important work we have ahead in 2018. Beyond the obvious difference in temperature and elevation, Flagstaff reminded me of just what is at stake for Maricopa County. Coconino County has the second highest sales tax in the state, almost double Maricopa County's. The city of Flagstaff has a mandatory minimum wage of $15 an hour. Not exactly a bastion of conservatism. I don't want to see liberal big government policies like those in Coconino County come to Maricopa County. But they could. Coconino County is home to some of the most liberal voters in the state. And those same far left liberals are now organizing in Maricopa County. Since January Democrat PC numbers have increased by over 600. And these aren't moderates, they are far left, Bernie loving, socialist thinking, progressives who want to make their party even more extreme. Make no mistake, they are organized and energized and they want to elect the most liberal candidates they can find. So don't waste time. Ask yourself, have you recruited a new PC in the past month? Three months? For most the answer is unfortunately no. But there is still time.  We have a real battle in 2018. But if we use 2017 to recruit hard working PCs and register voters we will Keep Maricopa County Red in 2018. But it's up to you.

CONGRESSIONAL STATEMENTS/ACTION

(300 word limit. If statements exceed the limit, it will be edited)

Yesterday, the U.S. Senate released draft legislation to amend Obamacare. Congressman Andy Biggs said: “I am extremely disappointed by the lack of resolve from Congress to repeal Obamacare – most recently, with the U.S. Senate’s legislation. The American people demanded a full repeal. Now, the 115th Congress is dangerously close to abandoning our promise and opportunity to completely repeal Obamacare, remove government from the health care industry, permanently defund Planned Parenthood, and give Americans their long-awaited relief from overwhelming premiums. President Trump said we would repeal this ‘disastrous’ and ‘calamitous’ law. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said Congress would repeal Obamacare ‘root and branch.’ House Republicans said we would repeal Obamacare, not merely fix it, because it was a ‘knot of regulations, taxes, and mandates [that] cannot be untangled.’ We need a clean start, not a rewrite or fix to our current system. Neither the House-passed American Health Care Act (AHCA) nor the Senate’s version meets our own stated objectives. We are in jeopardy of losing the trust our constituents have placed in us. Since taking office in January, I have participated in many meetings with House and Senate members to offer insights and solutions to this goal. I hope that my colleagues will see our grave error with the AHCA and reverse course to wholly repeal Obamacare. Only by doing so will we be able to fulfill our promises to the American people.”

US Sen John McCain on the discussion draft of the Senate health care legislation: “I am closely reviewing the discussion draft of the Senate health care bill released today. My focus is on protecting the people of Arizona, and I am consulting with Governor Doug Ducey and seeking input from Arizonans before making a final decision. Any replacement plan must ensure our citizens have access to affordable and flexible health care, and I look forward to thoroughly examining this legislation and engaging in a robust amendment process in the Senate next week.” See Senate health care bill discussion draft here.

Congressman Paul Gosar introduced on Thursday the bi-partisan Grand Canyon Bison Management Act, which would allow the use of wildlife management and conservation techniques on the bison population within Grand Canyon National Park. Specifically, the act would require both the U.S. Department of Interior and the Arizona Game and Fish Commission to coordinate on a plan to manage the bison population utilizing volunteer sportsmen holding a valid state-issued hunting license. The volunteers would then be allowed to cull bison and remove the harvested animal from the park. The bill is co-sponsored by U.S. Reps. Trent Franks (R), Tom O’Halleran (D) and David Schweikert (R). U.S. Sens. John McCain and Jeff Flake have also shown their support for utilizing Arizona’s hunters to maintain bison populations as a means to protect the Grand Canyon’s resources. Both sponsored a similar bill in the Senate in 2015. “This bill is a strong step toward ensuring the bison population remains in proper balance to allow for the recovery of natural habitat within the Grand Canyon National Park,” said Game and Fish Commission Chairman Pat Madden. “Simply allowing Arizona’s sportsmen and women, and our hunting heritage, to manage bison populations within the park just makes sense. This bill is essential to helping the National Park Service to preserve and strengthen the crown jewel of our park system, while saving tax dollars and protecting critical habitat for other wildlife.” Over the past few decades, the bison abundance, distribution, unfettered reproduction and movement in and near the Grand Canyon’s North Rim, have impacted both natural and cultural resources within the Park. Wildlife surveys estimate that about 600 bison have migrated into the Grand Canyon National Park. While hunting is prohibited in the park, the practice is an established and effective management tool to maintain a healthy balance between wildlife and habitat on 51 million acres of National Park Service (NPS) lands on 59 properties.

Congresswoman Martha McSally: Over the last two years since I have been in Congress, I fought against the Administration and Democrat Representatives when they attempted to mothball the A-10 Warthog, an aircraft which has battlefield capabilities unlike any other. I should know -- in my 6 deployments with the U.S. Air Force, I commanded an A-10 squadron and flew 325 combat hours in the Warthog. I can unequivocally say it remains our best asset to provide troops with close air support and destroy terrorists like ISIS. That is why I fought so hard to expose the last Administration's flawed arguments - and my efforts paid off, resulting in a FULL protection of the A-10. Or so we were told. Unfortunately, the Air Force just announced in a committee hearing that as few as 6 squadrons will be maintained – a 33% cut from the current operational fleet – leaving the remaining 110 A-10 Warthogs at risk of being grounded. Last year, when the Administration announced it was abandoning its plan to retire the A-10, I was concerned that it would not be the last hurdle faced to keep it flying. Now our country is at risk of losing 110 of the best close air support assets in the world. I won't let that happen without a fight. As a combat veteran I am dedicated to providing all of our troops with the BEST resources at our disposal. I know that people like you sent me to Congress to be a voice for our men and women in the military, and I will continue to be just that. I hope I can count on you to stand with me in this fight!

Senator John McCain, Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, on the suspension of F-35B operations at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Yuma, Arizona: “I was concerned to learn that the Marine Corps has suspended F-35B operations at MCAS Yuma due to problems with the aircraft’s Autonomic Logistics Information System. I am in close communication with the Marine Corps and Joint Program Office as they work to identify the root cause of these issues and resolve them as quickly as possible.”

CANDIDATE STATEMENTS

300 word limit. If statements exceed the limit, it will be edited.

Supt Of Public Instruction Candidate Frank Riggs: It takes a Leader to Lead. The job of Supt. of Public Instruction isn't about managing a classroom of students, as important as that job is. The job is to lead the AZ Dept. of Education and to "superintend" (the actual word in our state constitution) Arizona's K-12 education system comprising 15 county education agencies, 237 school districts, 453 charter holders and 13 joint technological education districts...and over 2,000 public schools (1500+ public district schools and 500+ public charter schools) educating 1.1 million students and serving the parents of those students. The Superintendent also administers a departmental budget of nearly $6M and $10B in local, state and federal funding for our schools. I've been a leader all of my life and career: in the Army, law enforcement, as a private sector executive and business owner, U.S. Congressman and CEO of a national, award-winning nonprofit CEO. I've also been a leader in education for over three decades, as a public school district board president, charter school president and as Chairman of the House of Representatives' Subcommittee on Early Childhood, Elementary and Secondary Education. In that capacity, I authored the federal charter school law - the Charter School Expansion Act of 1998 - to provide start-up grants to new charter schools. I was also National Head Start Legislator of the Year and recognized by the Association of Special Education Administrators for my dedication to children with disabilities. The conservative Heritage Foundation said, "Representative Riggs spearheaded many cutting edge initiatives like school choice and charter schools." I've been called the most qualified candidate for Superintendent of Public Instruction in Arizona History. I don't know about that, but I do know that successfully leading and managing a large, complex public organization requires the right combination of experience, knowledge and executive ability...and proven courage, integrity, dedication and judgment. Yes, Experience Matters!

US Senate incumbent Jeff Flake: I just pulled updating spending figures through June 1st. It’s not great. Liberal DC special interests have outspent Republicans nearly 16-to-1 on Arizona television. That’s a lot of attack ads! We’ve got a comprehensive plan to push back, though. That’s why we’re launching the Rapid Response Fund.

CITY COUNCILMAN SPEAKs OUT

300 word limit. If statements exceed the limit, it will be edited

Phoenix City CouncilmanSal DiCiccio: AZ Republic reporter missed one big point...PHX is paying a rate of 7.4%. Your personal mortgage is around 4%. Would you pay 7.4% on a home loan? Such media incompetence or sloppy reporting is so frustrating especially when the public doesn't the facts they need…Here's the video replay of Wednesday’s, (6/21/17) Phoenix City Council Formal Meeting, linked to the start of Item 68: "Resolution to Authorize Increase to Amortization Period for Public Safety Personnel Retirement System Plan and to Establish the Public Safety Personnel Retirement System Reserve Fund" (Resolution 21552). This item was adopted. As per Dustin Gardiner's article in The Arizona Republic, "Phoenix taxpayers will likely pay dramatically more — up to $2.3 billion extra — for the pensions of police officers and firefighters over the next 30 years. That's the long-term impact of the City Council's decision Wednesday to punt on paying pension debt. They voted 7-2 to ask the state-run pension system to allow the city to prolong its payments. The council wants to have 30 years, instead of 20, to pay down the city's debt for the retirement benefits of public-safety workers. Skyrocketing pension costs are strangling Phoenix's budget, making it hard for the city to balance its checkbook and maintain basic services. Wednesday's move could help ease the near-term challenges. Extending the city's pension debt for another decade would lower the city's annual pension payments immediately and help the city avert a steep budget deficit in 2018. But in exchange for immediate relief, the city would pay far more in interest over time and face much larger payments in later years." Click here to see the start of the proceedings. If you'd like to see the Public Comment on Item 68 (featuring fellow MCRC PCs), followed by the City Council Comment, click here.
