7-13-17 Briefs

Republican Briefs

Yesterday AZGOP Chairman Jonathan Lines was telling Republicans how elated he was over meeting President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence in the Oval Office at the White House. In the meantime, AZGOP Secretary Gabby Mercer announced that a group of Arizona GOP leaders are planning to recall Lines and that she will follow the AZGOP bylaws in keeping them properly informed. 7-12-17-briefs This morning Navajo County Chairman Steven Slaton and his first two vice chairs are calling for Lines resignation (see below) and Former LD15 Secretary Archie Dicksion announced the circulation of a petition throughout Arizona requesting that the Arizona State Legislature amend Arizona Revised Statute Code Section 16-828 to prohibit the use of proxies at political party votes, or limit their use to no more than two (2) proxies per carrier.  Bruce M Piepho, Cochise County State Committee is compiling a list of LD14 State Committeemen. LD14 PCs have voted in support of the proxie amendment. – ft

Navajo County GOP Chairman Steven Slaton, 1st Vice Chr Karen M. Mackean, And 2nd Vice Chair Paul Corathers To All Republican Elected Representatives In The State Of Arizona:  We, the duly elected PC’s, State Committeemen, County and LD Chairman are faced with a serious situation here in Arizona. The recently elected AZGOP State Chairman Jonathan Lines, and his appointed AZGOP executive Director Matt Kenney, are in serious breach of the AZGOP bylaws and Arizona State statutes.  (2005 Arizona revised Statutes – Revised Statutes 16-823 Legislative district Committee Referencing Organization:  38-431, 38-431.03, 16-807, 16-827, 16-906, 16-907). All of this has been documented in the MCRC briefs, starting June 19, 2017 forward (2 days after the AZGOP By-Law Meeting in Flagstaff, Az.)  Including a very detailed documented overview of our concerns on July 8, 2017!   Go to:  archives.mcrcbriefs.org We are now asking for the Chairman and Matt Kenney’s resignation.   These breaches of the AZGOP required statues and by-laws have been completely ignored and more importantly facts & documentation have shown both Chairman Lines and Matt Kenney have lied to the duly elected body of the AZGOP about these specific requirements they refused to carryout upon Chairman Lines election. Because this affects all REPUBLICANS here in Arizona and, quite frankly, around the country we ask for your support in upholding the law and return our AZGOP to its charter of integrity.  President Trump is Draining the Swamp in DC and we intend to do the same here in Arizona! As elected representatives of the people, you are being asked to step up, take this seriously and listen to your constituents who are the very PC’s, State Committeemen, County Chairmen and LD Chairmen who have been ignored by Chairman Lines for the past 6 months.  Also, to the candidates who may be running for office in 2018, we ask the same of you. If you consider this party’s actions acceptable, you may want to reconsider your position. “Courage doesn’t mean you don’t get afraid. Courage means you don’t let fear stop you.”

Former LD15 Secretary Archie Dicksion is circulating a petition throughout Arizona requesting that the Arizona State Legislature amend Arizona Revised Statute Code Section 16-828 to prohibit the use of proxies at political party votes, or limit their use to no more than two (2) proxies per carrier. He said the amendment is needed due to “those out there who recruit people to become Precinct Committeemen not because they will attend meetings or because they will work on party programs. They are recruited for the simple reason that their Proxy can be obtained and that allows a few people to have a large voting presence. thereby controlling the outcome of elections. One of the planks in the Republican party platform is to control voter fraud. Yet in their own internal elections they not only condone voter fraud, they encourage it. To help put an end to political party voter fraud, please sign the petition. Just click on the link below and the petition will appear. Complete the information then click on the signature block and you can sign on your computer by using the mouse or on your Iphone, or android by using your finger.” Dicksion points out:

     · REPUBLICAN PARTY PLATFORM 2016, PAGE 16: “Honest elections are the foundation of representative government... We are concerned, however, that some voting procedures may be open to abuse.”

     · ROBERT’S RULES OF ORDER: “Voting by proxy is inconsistent with the fundamental concept that voting rights are not transferrable.”

     · ARIZONA HOUSE LEGISLATURE RULE 14: “No member shall be permitted to vote unless present in person to cast his vote.”

     · BY SIGNING THIS PETITION we are requesting that the Arizona State Legislature prohibit the use of proxies at political party votes, or limit their use to no more than two (2) proxies per carrier.

Bruce M Piepho, Cochise County State Committee: “In order to facilitate the effort to clean up the AZGOP and drain the Phoenix swamp; I have been working to clean up the accuracy for LD14 State committee man/woman information. In the next week, I will send for confirmation of name, address, email, phone number. This needs to be done as the permanent AZGOP records are not in the controlled possession of the AZGOP Secretary, Gabby Mercer. If you are a state committeeman/woman and live in Cochise, Greenlee or Eastern Pima in LD14; I will be contacting you soon. And I am sending this to all 15 county GOP Chairs or other officers. Those of us who truly want to make America great again have one choice: Fight for it. I hope you, like myself, will not surrender. The enemy has not changed and the last 8 years nearly brought America down. Obama set the stage for Hillary - she lost. A glaring disrespect for PCs, State Committeewomen/women, officers of Republican committees and ALL Arizona Republicans has been the abuse of proxies in the last several years. This abuse has taken on the usage of tens to hundreds of proxies carried by one person to the AZGOP meetings. This abuse has silenced the will of the PCs, allowed the undeserving to retain a grip on power or control and cast a negative reflection upon the Arizona Republican Party.”

Ooops. Timothy Schwartz was errantly referred to as the LD30 chairman in the 5-11-17 Briefs. Schwartz is the current LD30 first vice chairman and the former LD30 chairman.

LD14 PCs Approved the following document at their July 8, 217 meeting:

   · REPUBLICAN PARTY PLATFORM 2016, PAGE 16: “Honest elections are the foundation of representative government...We are concerned, however, that some voting procedures may be open to abuse.”

   · ROBERT’S RULES OF ORDER: “Voting by proxy is inconsistent with the fundamental concept that voting rights are not transferable.”

   · Whereas: The AZGOP overly control meetings with the excessive use of proxies and;

   · Whereas: On occasion some AZGOP State committeemen have carried hundreds of proxies to influence the outcome of AZGOP elections;

   · Whereas: The accountability of the AZGOP financial records are in question;

   · Whereas: U.S. Congress and AZ legislature requires the person to be in attendance, no proxy voting;

   · Whereas: Honest elections and party business are the foundation of our values and principles;

   · Whereas: The voting with proxies on occasion have been abused at AZGOP meetings.

   · THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Legislative District 14 in the State of Arizona strongly propose prohibit the use of proxies at political party votes, or limit their use to no more than two (2) proxies per carrier; and

   · BE IT RESOLVED by the members of Arizona Legislative District 14, so present, to propose legislation involving the State of Arizona and the activity of political parties to organize and conduct business be changed or shall be repealed as necessary.

   · Therefore…By vote in accordance with current LD14 bylaws, the Precinct Committeemen here present in our meeting, the eighth of July, 2017, do so vote our Precinct Committeemen opinion as to our sense of the appropriateness and the timing of PROXY abuse at AZGOP meetings.

     Witnessed by LD14 Chair Elizabeth Speck and LD14 1st Vice Chair Katie Miller on July 8, 2017.

Activist James Alberts: That's a good start Senator Mitch McConnell, cancel the summer recess would be a better idea. There is enough work to be done to justify keeping the senate in session all summer.

Request to Initiate Legal Action: Judicial Watch has sent a letter, in behalf of former Senator Russell Pearce, to Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich regarding Pearce’s concerned about the use of public moneys by the Arizona Board of Regents to provide in-state tuition to Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients. The letter requests that Brnovich initiate legal action to enjoin the further use of public monies within 60 days or Pearce intends to initiate legal action under A.R.S. §35-213 to recover all of the alleged unlawful expenditures by ABOR incurred thus far plus interest.

RINO-John-McCain-Suspected-of Leaking-False-Trump-Dossier-Media “…Two lawsuits have raised the possibility that Senator John McCain (R-AZ) a man who probably never heard of former President Ronald Reagan’s “11th commandment” was involved with leaking the “Trump Dossier,” to the mainstream media. The dossier was the fraudulent 35-page document leaked to CNN and published in full by BuzzFeed a few weeks before the Inauguration. Eventually proven bogus, but when leaked the document was said to have “revealed” ties between Team Trump and Russia, as well as some unsavory activity between the future president and Russian prostitutes”…

McConnell’s Health Gambit Ripples In Kentucky Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is in a dicey spot in more ways than one when it comes to the Senate’s healthcare bill. If the Kentucky Republican fails in his effort to repeal and replace ObamaCare, his reputation as a master tactician of the Senate will take a hit, with lawmakers second-guessing his decisions on drawing up a bill largely behind closed doors. It would also deal a serious blow to the GOP effort to end ObamaCare and would mean Republicans have wasted the first seven months of the new Trump administration with little to show for it. Questions about the rest of their agenda would grow. Back in Kentucky, McConnell would also face some politically tricky questions.  Read the full story here
