McCain-Proves-Revenge-Is-A-Dish-Best-Eaten-Cold Senator John McCain took his revenge very calmly on President Trump in the early hours of Friday morning with a simple literal thumbs down for the latest iteration of the increasingly bizarre GOP attempts to kill Obamacare…
McCain Comes Through for Democrats, Casts Deciding ‘No’ Vote on GOP Health Care Bill Gasps erupted in the Senate chamber early Friday morning when Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) cast the deciding “no” vote that killed the Republicans’ so-called “skinny repeal” bill – their final effort to lift some elements of Obamacare…
“In Accordance With The Guidance of his physicians, Senator McCain is returning to Arizona to undergo further treatment at Mayo Clinic. On Monday, July 31, he will begin a standard post-surgical regimen of targeted radiation and chemotherapy. During that time, Senator McCain will maintain a work schedule. He plans to return to Washington at the conclusion of the August recess,” according to his office staff.
Former Senator Russell Pearce: While my prayers go out to Senator McCain and his family for the tragic news they just received on his serious health issues, I am fuming mad at his deception to the American people and his broken campaign promises. Senator McCain was the deciding vote to keep Obamacare. He had a chance to keep his promise to Arizona and America. It needs to be called McCainCare, he owns it. Arizona if you are not mad, you are not paying attention. I am as mad as hell and not going to take it anymore. Sen. McCain “PROMISED” us he would fight to eliminate Obamacare if we re-elected him and instead he was the deciding vote to keep it. He decided to fund Planned Parenthood and the selling of baby parts. He decided to keep the law to take away “We the People’s” freedom of choice and force people to buy his healthcare. He decided to keep the mandates on private business in place. He decided to keep the burdensome taxes in place. And he decided to lie to the American people again. In his previous re-election effort he promised to help build the wall and after several failed attempts to get Amnesty for illegal aliens, he promised to end his efforts on Amnesty and stood on the border and said, “build this dang fence,” only to block that effort, but lead the Gang of Eight, along with Jeff Flake and Lindsay Graham to pass the most egregious Amnesty bill ever introduced that would have allowed MS-13 gang members illegally in the country to stay, convicted felons to stay; and it gets much worse than that. Politicians wonder why we have so much disdain for them!! Maybe if we could count on them to keep their promise, protect our freedoms, allow us to keep some of the money we earn and honor their Oath of Office. Good people can disagree, but being honest and keeping your word ought to be the one thing we should be able to count on. We elected Donald J. Trump to be our President for many reasons. We are sick and tired of what goes on in Washington D.C.
LaPaz County 1st Vice Chairman Jade Jones: This is disturbing on so many levels it's painful. As a member of the Executive Committee, it is, according to the Bylaws, my job to advise the Chairman, so here's my advice: By 5pm tomorrow, Friday July 28th, I request, nay demand a copy of the codified position and or protocol for releasing my email and mailing address or verification that nonesuch exists. Clearly, it was made available to Senator Allen and National Committeeman Bruce Ash, both of whom have contacted me with pleas of support for the current administration. In light of what transpired at the last ExCom meeting in Flagstaff, specifically the refusal to give out ExCom members contact information and the contact information of the Bylaws Committee members, under some sort of pretext for privacy concern, the double standard is alarming. And please don't give me any nonsense about "standing rules" that don't exist as Ms. Petsas tried to do with Chairman Sias.
I also demand a copy of all meeting minutes, documents and other work product of the last Bylaws Committee meeting or verification that nonesuch exists, since ExCom member attendance was barred and I was physically assaulted by Petsas for trying to watch and record the meeting for Chairman Sias who could not attend due to not being given notice in time. This assault as well as the refusal to give out contact information was captured on video and posted to Youtube. (link to the playlist for the videos: 20170617 110559) I demand also a copy of the AZGOP codified policy on minutes, agendas, attendance and recording of committee meetings, to include sub committees and meetings called by the will of the Chair, or verification that nonesuch exists. AZ is a one party state for recording and transparency of Party business should always be the objective. The secrecy surrounding the Bylaws Committee, specifically the dates, times, locations, member names and contact information does not reflect well on current administration.
I also demand a copy of the codified powers of the appointed Bylaws Committee Chair, Vice Chair and any Parliamentarian(s) who might be in attendance whether or not in an official capacity, as well as the applicability of Robert's Rules to this Committee and a copy of the Committee Mission Statement, or verification that nonesuch exists. Chairman Sias has appointed me to this Committee by notarized document, so again I "advise" this all be replied to and stated in an open and transparent manner prior to the Bylaws Committee meeting on Saturday morning, or else I will be left with no other recourse than to submit the OpEd I have drafted, entitled "A House Divided" to the Capitol Times, AZ Republic, and all other media on my contact list.
Sen Sylvia Allen to AZGOP Chairman Jonathan Lines: I recently distributed a letter to the executive committee calling for party unity and an end to party infighting. In the hours since I sent that letter out, I have talked to a number of my Precinct Committeemen in my District, and after hearing their concerns, I think it would be worthwhile if at the next Executive Committee you brought up three issues for discussion that would go a long way to bring our party together.
1. People are concerned about the last election being done electronically, because there were so many problems with the cell phones. It is just hard to trust that kind of voting or maybe we just don't understand the safeguards in place. However if the EC could discuss the policy for future elections and have input on what means are used for voting it would go far to build trust. Please allow the Executive Committee to discuss and take a vote on this issue.
2. There is a huge problem with proxies. We have many ghost PC's who never show up but by proxy. This is wrong. We need to reform the use of proxies and not allow huge numbers of proxies to be carried by any one PC. In 2014 I carried a bill to reform this but could not get the votes. I believe it should be down through the party and not the Legislature. The EC needs to have a discussion on this.
3. There is a strong feeling among the PCs that there is no transparency for the changes of our party bylaws. At the next Executive Committee, everyone should be encouraged to bring their ideas of what should be changed in the bylaws. Those suggestions could then be given to the bylaw committee for consideration. Then the committee should be encouraged to send our updates to the EC of their progress.
I feel if these three issues were addressed, it would go a long way in bringing unity to our party and PCs. The Executive Committee members all want to feel that they have voice in the policy of our Party.
Bruce M Piepho, Cochise State Committeeman/PC Response to Former Maricopa County Republican Committee Chairman Lyle Tuttle: I have two words to add to your analogy - trust and accountability. The Executive Committee is not holding the AZGOP Chairman, present and immediate past, accountable. Therefore trust is lost. Undue influence from McCain operatives also contributes to broken trust. Problem is the PC’s or STOCKHOLDERS; I prefer stakeholders; who elected the persons who serve must have the By-laws changed so that the Executive Committee meets, chaired, independently sets the agenda and operates to reflect the stakeholders not the elected AZGOP officers. Specifically the Executive Committee must elect their own chair person and the Elected AZGOP serves an advisory role. In the corporate world I am the boss and even with an advisory executive committee as long as I am the chair of that committee, I am the boss and I set the agenda. A corporate CEO and Chairman of the Board effectively should not be the same person.
LD22 State Committeeman Lori Hack: McCain's vote on 7-29-2017 to NOT repeal Obamacare can only be summoned up with this: John is evil to the core! RINO unto death. He is a modern day Benedict Arnold! We had a chance to send a Constitutional, liberty loving, Conservative woman, Dr. KelliWard.com, to retire McCain in 2016. But don't loose heart, we can vote out #FakeFlake in 2018 with Dr. Kelli Ward! Contact Ward at www.KelliWard.com
LD24 PC Tristan Manos: "What's going on in the AZGOP and MCRC when there’s four Phoenix City Council positions up for election and there’s only two Republicans running? For the upcoming Tuesday, August 29th, 2017 election, there are two races where Democrats are running as the only candidate. There are races in Districts 2, 4, 6, 8. In D2, REP Jim Waring is running as the only candidate (good for Republicans, and go, Jim, go). In D4, DEM Laura Pastor is the only candidate ("good" for Democrats, but where's the Republican? In D6, REP Sal DiCiccio is running against DEM Kevin Patterson (go, Sal, go). In D8, DEM Kate Gallego is the only candidate. Where's "Make America Great Again" start? It should be right here - in our own city - where we live, work, and play. We're the Republican Party; we're all responsible for this, but where's the "leadership up at the top?" "We the PCs" must get our acts together. How about we design and provide prefab candidate resources, featuring "ABC-123" Republican campaign templates promoting the Republican Platform, then insert good Republican candidates. DEMs are dominating REPs at Phoenix City Hall.” Jim and Sal (and, sometimes, REP Thelda Williams - D1) hold the line, but there's nine seats on the council and six are DEMs, including the misguided mayor. How long will it take for REPs to get in the game and "Make Phoenix Great Again?" Contact: firstname.lastname@example.org

Ken Cuccinelli II, President Senate Action, has announced a “Ditch Mitch” campaign to rid the Senate of Speaker Mitch McConnell for the Senate’s failure to keep their promise to repeal Obamacare. “It’s a total disgrace and Mitch McConnell bears the blame. While the seven Republicans who opposed clean repeal should be held accountable, it was McConnell who created the environment that encouraged their betrayal. His use of the party's massive political machine to defend these senators in primary elections – something the party used to stay out of – has made them much less accountable to the Republican voters who elected them and much more willing to break their promises. Both Lisa Murkowski and John McCain were protected from competitive primary challenges and they both know they will be protected again as long as Mitch McConnell is the leader. Also, McConnell's early decision to abandon repeal in favor of keeping some of the worst parts of Obamacare encouraged others to do the same. He will pretend that he tried to repeal the law, but the truth is that he gave up on that many months ago. And finally, McConnell's prediction that a bipartisan bailout for the insurance companies would occur if repeal were to fail also gave moderates a reason to hold out for something else. That was one of the biggest strategic errors we have seen in some time. The truth is, McConnell began this health care debate with no endgame strategy for repeal. He was simply going through the motions to make it look like he tried. And now that his "Failure Theater" is complete, he wants to give up and move on.” See petition to replace Mitch McConnell.

Klayman: McCain Is a National Disgrace! Watch The Dramatic Moment When John Mccain Killed The GOP's 'Skinny Repeal' Health Care Bill The Senate burst into audible gasps when Republican Sen. John McCain of Arizona delivered the decisive, finishing blow to the GOP's "skinny repeal" health care bill early Friday morning when he became the 51st senator to vote against it. Republican senators were seeking to pass the bill, which would have stripped a few essential elements of the Affordable Care Act, known as Obamacare, to establish a conference with the House and create a more robust bill. Only State Committeemen can sign the “Call for a special meeting” petition to address the removal of AZGOP Chairman Jonathon Lines, according to Marianne Ferrari, the Remove Lines spokesman. She points out, “Under Special Meetings, the By-laws state that the chairman can call a special meeting, and also the "membership of the state committee" can "issue the call. I wanted to remain faithful to that stipulation in all phases. To me, if it is the membership of the State Committee, i.e., the State Committeemen, who are issuing this call, and the State Committeemen are the only ones who can sign it, then it should also be State Committeemen who gather the signatures and sign the declaration on the back. That way, this project is 100% an action by the membership of the state committee.” Ferrari can be reached at email@example.com with questions.
