Signatures On The “Call Petition” To Remove Chairman Lines Cannot Be Signed Online, according to Marianne Ferrari, LD20 State Committeeman and spokesman for the Remove AZGOP Chairman Jonathan Lines “Call” petitions. Ferrari cautions, “Some State Committeemen believe they have signed our call to remove Chairman Lines online. Actually, they probably signed Archie Dicksion's petition urging the legislature to end abuse of proxies.” State Committeemen wanting to sign the Remove Lions call petition, should contact Ferrari at Advocacy@indepthcritique.com for contact information on the designated individual gathering State Committeemen signatures in their county or district.
Only State Committeemen can sign the “Call for a special meeting petition” to address the removal of AZGOP Chairman Jonathon Lines, according to Marianne Ferrari, the Remove Lines spokesman. She points out, “Under Special Meetings, the By-laws state that the chairman can call a special meeting, and also the "membership of the state committee" can "issue the call. I wanted to remain faithful to that stipulation in all phases. To me, if it is the membership of the State Committee, i.e., the State Committeemen, who are issuing this call, and the State Committeemen are the only ones who can sign it, then it should also be State Committeemen who gather the signatures and sign the declaration on the back. That way, this project is 100% an action by the membership of the state committee.” Ferrari can be reached at email@example.com with questions. Ferrari has no assurance that the AZGOP will pay for the “special meeting” therefore, the Remove Lines group is asking for contributions to fund that meeting. To contribute funds for the Special Meeting go to www.InDepthCritique.com/Advocacy
Editor’s Note: There are two separate petitions circulating within Republican circles at the moment. One is the Remove AZGOP Chairman Jonathan Lines “call” petition that must carry an original signature and be witnessed. The Remove Lines petition calls for the recall of Lines, and the first and second vice chairmen. Marianne Ferrai, Recall Lines spokesman, emphasized, “We have distributed NO ‘Remove Lines’ petitions for electronic signatures.” If a state committeeman or Executive Board member signed a petition electronically, thinking it was a Remove Lines petition, please contact Ferrari at Advocacy@indepthcritique.com so she can direct you to the individual in charge of gathering Remove Lines petition signatures in your area.
The second petition in circulation is Archie Dicksion’s “Proxy” petition requesting that the Arizona State Legislature “prohibit the use of proxies at political party votes, or limit their use to no more than two (2) proxies per carrier” is posted at http://bit.ly/2rZG2w8 for signature gathering purposes. Just filled it out and submit it to Dicksion electronically. Dicksion can also be reached at 949-233-0009. - ft

LD6 State Committeeman Richard Sperry to Sen Sylvia Allen: I have been reading all your emails and your reasons, if you want to call them that, about not recalling Jonathan Lines. I am very irritated, to say the least, especially knowing that the history of both our families goes back almost 400 hundred years in the land that was to become this great nation. They fought in all the major conflicts, including myself spending four years in and out of Viet Nam. Our forefathers built a nation founded on the rule of law and I shudder to think what would have happened if they would have retreated at the first sign of defeat? You're appealing to the State Committeemen to condone what many are seeing as blatant misconduct by the Chairman and his cohorts - for the sake of a unity that isn’t there - is insulting the intelligence of those that are trying to hold accountable the very people that are doing harm to the party. When we turn our back, as you would have us do and allow people to break those rules we begin the demise of what our numerous ancestors fought for. What will then be left is for you to start writing the eulogy for the late great United States of America! As one of your constituents, I am requesting that you cease and desist from trying to convince us to go along with what clearly is a self-serving agenda. Let me make it perfectly clear, your letters have only motivated me to fight harder for this recall!
Tom Morrissey, Past Chairman AZ GOP: Chairman Lines, the best, and maybe the only, way to end this unrest in our state party, is to commission a forensic audit. You should know that this would leave no stone unturned and absolutely clear the air for all concerned. The continuing vitriol serves no one and is causing the exodus from our party of those we need most. We all, including you, deserve to know the truth, the whole truth and nothing but. You claim to have raised more money than any previous chairman, up to this point, so why not spend some of it to help bring some accord back to the AZ GOP? Leadership seems to be a rare commodity these days and leading the AZ GOP through a dynamic action such as a forensic audit will speak volumes on your behalf.
La Paz County Chairman Russell Sias to AZGOP Chairman Jonathan Lines: I read your letter posted in the 7-30-17-Briefs My concern is that you do not appear to understand that the issues are not about you or your staff – or even ballot harvesting. Sir, you have missed the point. It is about honesty, transparency, and representing the grassroots, instead of manipulating them.
Let’s address honesty first. You brought up the money, suggesting in your letter that the amount is $235,000. In the minutes of the 11 Mar ex meeting, you stated it was $220,000. The minutes of that meeting stated that it was $250,000! Not that the actual amount really matters, for NONE of these amounts were brought to a previous ExComm meeting, as our bylaws suggest they should. Nor was our potential involvement in the ballot harvesting issue either. Had this issue, and amount of money, whatever it is, been brought before the Ex Committee, you, as the treasurer, would have known, so you COULD NOT have claimed surprise at the amount of the obligation. But, again, it’s not about the money, it is about following our bylaws, and being honest with the grassroots of our party.
You state that you have raised most of this money already. How? From whom? If these donations are in increments of $100, or less, I don’t care. If, on the other hand, they are in amounts of thousands of dollars, we all need to know. Why? Because, if someone is handing you a donation for say, $1,000, $25,000, or even more, then the question becomes ...what are they expecting to buy, and what are you selling? Oh, IF you were following the bylaws, you, sir, wouldn’t be raising money, our finance chairman would be. Just saying….
Cochise county State Committeemen Bruce M Piepho response to Sen Sylvia Allen and Navajo County Republican Chairman Steve Slaton 7-30-17-Briefs
· Allen -Then what if Lines is re-elected? Then will you support him? Piepho - I for one will never support Lines. The real point of all this: the AZGOP is the PCs and it is the PCs who are the State Committeemen. AZGOP does not belong to the donors or the fake Flakes and corrupt McCain.
· Allen -So now we are somewhere in January/February and still not organized still not united, still fighting. I have thought the consequences of a recall that is why I sent my letter. Piepho - The AZGOP in-fighting has been going on for years. McCain operatives asked Tom Morrissey to fire AZGOP staff and allow “them” to restaff. Tom said NO! Robert Graham allegedly said yes. Lines said he would not hire Kenney- Lines hired him anyway. Unity will only come when the lies stop, the proxy harvesting stops and undue influence by McCain stops. If Flake loses to a democrat in 2018 are we really worse off?
· Slaton- We have huge problems NOW! With a dishonest party leadership! Piepho: I AGREE!
· Allen- We have lost civility in our country and party. Calling someone a liar is wrong. Piepho: I agree name calling, such as liar, is less than bad. McCain, Flake, Robert Graham, Lines and Kenney all lie. So what should we call them; the UN-truth brigade?
· Slaton- Why would we be sadly mistaken for holding our elected representatives accountable for their actions and inactions? Piepho: AMEN!
Russell Sias, La Paz County Chairman: When people ask me if I am a Republican or a Democrat, I almost always reply that I am a Constitutionalist. This baffles some; others understand. I am SO sick and tired of the manipulation that goes on! Don’t tell me that someone will vote to repeal ObamaCare just to get my vote come election time. While I don’t expect that everyone will agree with me all the time, just most of the time (giggle!), I absolutely do expect all to be honest with me ALL the time. I would much rather know where someone honestly stands, that to be pandered to - because that’s what they think I want them to express. This despicable nonsense leads to chaos – and the politics, in the nasty mess that Pres. Trump wants to rename from the swamp to the cesspool. It is my humble opinion, that the vote in the last few days on health care was a set up. Until I see differently, those that voted for the bill knew that McCain was going to vote against it, so they could go ahead and vote for it, knowing full well that doing so would cover themselves in some future election. This same deceptive nonsense has been going on for years! How many times did they vote for repeal, knowing that Obama would reject it, and now, when our president would actually sign the repeal, they no longer can hide their true position in the same manner. AT LEAST WE KNOW that the Democrats are essentially socialists (at least), so we cannot let them run our government, but if we don’t “repeal and replace” our crooked Republicans with those that won’t deceive us, our government will continue to decline and ultimately fail.
Pima County Tea Party Patriots: After the Senate failure to repeal ObamaCare it is time to make them feel the pain as many of us have. Congress has an exemption that excludes them from ObamaCare. President Trump can issue a new rule to override this exemption. Please use the talking points below and call the White House switchboard at 202.456.1414.
1. Ask the President to end the illegal and unfair exemption from ObamaCare that Congress currently enjoys.
2. Tweet the President and ask him to end the congressional exemption. Use @POTUS so President Trump will see your tweets.
Fact #1: ObamaCare is an unworkable law. We knew before Congress passed it that it would be unworkable. More taxes, more fees, more regulations, and the expansion of the federal government are NOT workable solutions.
Fact #2: As soon as Members of Congress and staffers realized the law, as written, would not work for them, they got a special exemption so they could keep their generous taxpayer-funded subsidies.
Fact #3: ObamaCare requires that Members of Congress and their staffers go on an ObamaCare exchange. Congress is illegally enrolled in the Washington, DC Small Business Exchange in order to retain their taxpayer-funded health insurance subsidies. How unfair is that?
Fact #4: Americans have been struggling with this law for seven years. We were not granted special permission to dance around the law, and we certainly have not been forgiven for breaking the law or not following the letter of the law.
Fact #5: The United States is a nation built on the principle of the rule of law. Allowing our lawmakers to become lawbreakers makes a mockery of our rule of law system.
Fact #6: Our experience with ObamaCare over the last seven years has convinced us that the law needs to be repealed. We look forward to that same awakening moment for Members of Congress. So, join us under the law, and then let’s get serious as a nation about repealing the law. Contact: Sherese Steffens, Dee Pfeiffer, Frank Olivieri, Grady Rhodes, Maria Elena Leeper, or Jan Humble at
