The Nation Has Watched In Disgust as rioting extremist have injured innocent people, vandalized and destroyed historical statues/landmarks/private property and created havoc. Our country is being torn apart by extremist who have little or no regard for law and order, or anyone who disagrees with them. This insanity needs to stop. How can we expect to be looked up to as the world leader when ill-advised protestors/rioters are attempting to destroy everything we stand for? – ft
The Trumped Store in Show Low was vandalized Thursday evening. The store is owned and operated by Navajo County Republican Committee Chairman Steven Slaton and First Vice Chair Karen Mackean. See trumped-store-vandalized-showlow-
President Donald Trump will hold a rally at 7 pm., Tues., Aug 22 at the Convention Center, 100 N. 3rd St., Phoenix, AZ 85004. Get your tickets here Doors open at 4 pm. Limit personal items and arrive early to expedite entrance into the venue. No homemade signs, banners, professional cameras with a detachable lens, tripods, monopods, selfie-sticks, back pack or large bags will be permitted into the venue. If you are unable to attend, you can pick up “Make America Great Again (MAGA) gear online here, according to Team Trump–Pence.
The Trump-Pence Team’s Arizona Senior Advisor Jeff DeWit (aka state treasurer) is in charge of organizing/coordinating/staffing the rally convention center – as with Trumps’ prior Phoenix rally’s/visits. Nevertheless, Tuesday afternoon/evening an e-mail was floating from an individual requesting that anyone wanting to volunteer for the Trump Rally should send their contact information to that individual. That scenario was short lived. Wednesday Briefs was informed that volunteers wanting to work the rally should contact Marina DeWit, the official Trump-Pence Team’s volunteer coordinator, at Marina@JeffDeWit.com for vetting and security purposes. Then a message circulated from AZGOP Chairman Jonathan Lines started creating confusion due to the wording “we need your help to staff this event”. Some volunteers thought Lines message implied that AZGOP/Lines, instead of Jeff DeWit, was in charge of the staffing the rally. Not so, DeWit is very much in charge of organizing the Trump Rally. Lines “tricky” (as it has been called) worded request is actually for volunteers to register/recruit voters all year long for the AZGOP, as well as at the upcoming Trump-Pence Team rally. To make sure everyone is singing out of the same hymn book -- Marina at Marina@JeffDeWit.com is the official Trump-Pence Team volunteer coordinator to contact if you want to volunteer to do anything beyond voter registration. To volunteer for the AZGOPs voter registration/ recruitment program, go to http://www.ourcauseourvoice.com/volunteer/ AZGOP Communications Director Torunn Sinclair says “Over 400 volunteers have now signed up. We expect to have stations inside and outside the convention center.”
AzRA Chairman Jim O’Connor says that Zack Taylor, Chairman of National Association of Border Patrol Officers, and Jeanette Finicum, widow of LaVoy Finicum, have been added to the list of speakers for the to the National Federation of Republican Assemblies 2017 Convention, scheduled Oct 6-8 at the Sheraton Mesa Hotel in Mesa. AzRA is hosting the national event.

Gila County Republican Chairman Gary Morris to Navajo County Republican Chairman Steve Slaton comments in the 8-17-17-Briefs complaining that Senate Candidate Kelli Ward was not invited to speak at the Gila County Republican Committee’s upcoming Reagan Day Dinner. First, The Committee normally does not invite candidates to our two annual fund raisers. Our supporting Rim Country Republican Club (Payson), our Cobre Valley Republican Club (Globe), along with the Payson Tea Party do a very good job of scheduling lots of candidates to speak. (The Payson and Globe clubs meet monthly and the Tea Party meets weekly). Kelli has spoken to Republicans in Gila County a number of times in the past. Further, our dinners do not, and have not been, a debate platform that would put Kelli against Senator Flake. Additionally, our past practice is inviting only elected Republicans office holders to speak and not candidates. The Executive Committee did consider inviting Kelli, but believed that if we break our practice, a speaking engagement at our spring Lincoln Day Dinner would have a greater positive name recognition impact for Kelli going into the Primaries.
As to Senator Flake. This will be the first sitting Republican Senator to speak to Gila County Republicans in more a decade. We have people who both support and oppose Senator Flake purchasing tickets. The Senator has an opportunity to tell his story and listen to what his constituents have to say. Dinner attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions of the speakers. Not to allow Senator Flake the opportunity to speak is taking the Democrat position of preventing free speech. And I’m no damn Democrat! I do not intend to act like a college dean, or professor, who prevents Republicans speaking on campus.
As to the statement about Mike Broomhead “trashing Kelli”, I invite all readers to use critical thinking skills and do their own investigation/research regarding comments by both Kelli and Mike and consider the context of the conversation, as I did, and determine if they believe “trashing” was involved. All candidates need to be prepared for tough questions and take the heat. Kelli was again on the Mike Broomhead show Thursday morning so it doesn’t appear he’s preventing her access to his show. I invite all Republicans to join us at the Reagan Day dinner. Go to gilagop.com for tickets.
Activist Gary Ripley: We see Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton already trying to sabotage President Donald Trump. Will he be the next politician - whose HATRED of Trump and Trump supporters - to call for the police to stand down so Trump supporting American Citizens can be terrorized by left wing thugs?
Activist Holly Hathhorn: I thank Steve Slaton for his letter in the 8-17-17-Briefs. He hit it right on the head. I just couldn’t believe that Jeff Flake had been invited to the dinner. It is an insult to Dr. Paul Gosar as far as I am concerned. Flake has demonstrated again and again what a RINO he is and most of the people in Gila County that I know do not like him! Knowing what we know about Flake, why would he be invited? I question the reasoning behind it. As far as I am concerned, that was a good way to NOT sell tickets! I have had calls from friends here in Payson who ask ‘what the h…l’?, and I have to say that I am not involved in this (soooo glad I’m not). I might need to do some signs for that evening. Just saying. On a much brighter note, congrats to Tom Morrissey on his radio show. Thanks for all you do for us Frosty. God Bless.
LD 22 State and Captain PC Lori Hack: President Trump just gave Dr. KelliWard.com 's campaign a huge boost yesterday morning https://twitter.com/realdonaldtrump/status/898136462385979392 by mentioning her fight against Sanctuary Senator Jeff Flake. He Tweeted out ... "Great to see that Dr. Kelli Ward is running against flake Jeff Flake, who is weak on borders, crime and non-factor in Senate. He's toxic!" Great things are happening in the Team Ward campaign - donate and join TODAY!
Activist Robert Richards: Exposing Cruel Hoax of Elites - To the many Americans who are confused or angry about the failure of our government who suspect that public policy doesn’t reflect the public interest anymore may I suggest some resource and reading material for your edification. Two new books out now where books are sold.
1. “The Big Lie” exposing the Nazi roots by Dinesh D’Souza’s .
2. The intelligence war on Trump by Dick Morris “Rogue Spooks”.
Both publications expose the propagandist games played by elites, media types, the “deep state” and others that dim the public’s understanding of “fake news” being perpetrated on American citizens 24-7. Knowing the mass psychology of Fascism is necessary to discern what is true or false in news reporting. Educate yourself rather than being told how to think by social media, educational & political elites, Hollywood, and entertainers that function and worship emotions as their god and take pride in the shameful things they do in this cultural war that grips our Nation presently. PS Obama corruption. Obama implanted moles within the Trump Administration. How? By reclassifying his bureaucratic appointees to Civil Service status. Now for life embedded to inhibit progress towards “Making Our Nation Great Again” i.e. leaking, spying, and blocking administrative functions.
Former AZ State Senator Russell Pearce: The Media Is The Largest Hate Group In America And An Illegal Pac For The Democrat Party - The haters are so obvious. It does not matter what President Trump says; it does not matter what the truth is; it does not matter what is good for America; it does not matter how vulgar and violent the left is; the haters will continue to hate. I condemn ALL race based hate groups equally; they are evil and destructive.
I am sick and tired of the media hate groups, the Washington elite, the alt-left and left leaning hate filled Republicans. I expect hate filled rhetoric from the illegal Democrat PAC (the media) and the alt-left, but it’s extremely disappointing coming from fellow Republicans. I believe the good America loving Patriots won’t fall for this hate propaganda. But, it’s becoming more difficult with the hate America academia influencing our young and vulnerable, to this deceptive, anti-America and misguided evil. The Democrat Party is the Party of slavery, the Party of segregationist, the Party of Jim Crow. Enough is Enough on the lies and distortions of history. Thank heaven we finally have a President who refuses to be PC as he condemns the KKK and White supremacists, as he should, but makes it clear that the fascist radical left group that is clearly anti-American that brought clubs, shields and other weapons to a permitted protest were also a hate group of bad, bad people who came intending to engage in violent acts. Yes, hate groups need to be condemned in the strongest terms. Yet, there were probably good folks who came not a part of either group, but to protect a historical statute of General Robert E. Lee, who, by the way, never owned any slaves.
The hate group media that serves as the Democrat PAC and the hate filled elite continue to ignore the long history of who has been in the forefront of the civil rights movement, who penned the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, who led the fight for civil rights, while the Democrats fought the civil rights efforts and the Party of Lincoln who truly believed ALL men were created equal, while they ignore the long list of their racist and segregationist heroes: Sen. Robert Bird from Virginia, a leader in the KKK, and a long list of other Democrat leaders who were racist and segregationist who get a pass, and in fact were held up as heroes. See the rest of Pearce’s commentary at http://russellpearce.com/the-media-is-the.e-democrat-party/
Brian Reilly, Former LD22PC: The latest media propaganda developed to degrade and besmirch President Trump is his recent press conference at Trump Tower. According to the media, Trump didn’t adequately place the blame for the Charlottesville violence on white supremacist and neo Nazi organizations that were protesting the removal of Confederate memorials. When Trump finally named the far right groups, he also mentioned there were counter protestors on the far left that were just as culpable for their violent actions during the Charlottesville, Virginia demonstrations this past weekend. From various news reports, it would appear that Marco Rubio, John McCain and Mitt Romney are also taking the liberal media position that the speech of the far right groups was justifiably met with violence from the far left group called AntiFa, which in doublespeak means Anti-Fascist. Apparently, someone on the far left clubbing someone over the head is somehow more acceptable than someone on the far right clubbing a person over the head. Violence is violence. AntiFa is a far left group of anarchist thugs, dressed in color coordinated, black uniforms, complete with face masks and hoodies and red flags tacked onto two by four wood “flag poles” which are used to “peacefully” club people who disagree with them at their gatherings, which somehow spontaneously materialize across the country, (transportation and fees probably provided by George Soros or one of his many “social justice” organizations) and are now, not surprisingly, embraced by prominent Never-Trump Republicans and the media. The AntiFa thugs are change agents, no different than the anti-Vietnam War, Students for a Democratic Society (S.D.S.) of the late 1960s and early 1970s. If you were a student attending class at a major college or university during the Vietnam War, it was not unusual for a group of black clothed S.D.S. thugs to barge into a classroom and club students with two by four "flag poles." The bludgeoned students were attending class and not actively protesting in the streets against the war. Similar tactics of violence from a different era used to change public opinion and action. Violence and hate from any quarter, used to manipulate public and political discourse is not acceptable. Media propaganda is responsible for much of the hate and violence that we are now witnessing across America.
