we want dewitTrump Team COO/AZ State Treasurer Jeff DeWit supporters are asking for help in distributing and mailing “We Want Jeff DeWit for US Senate”  post cards to President Trump requesting Trump solicit DeWit to run for Sen. Jeff Flake’s seat. Flake has opt not to run for re-election as a Republican. Although Flake’s polls have shown a steady decline, unconfirmed reports circulate that Flake is considering running as an Independent.  Dr Kelli Ward has been campaigning for Flake’s senate seat for the past year. Several  more  potential candidates have surfaced since Flake announced he was not running for re-election.  The post card requests that Trump appoint Ward to a DC position and “bury her deep in the bureaucracy” which would open the door for conservatives to mobilize behind DeWit in support of Trump’s agenda. Jeff DeWit, State Treasurer 2017 Post card circulators say that if Trump asks DeWit to run and offers financial support that DeWit would become the winning senate candidate in the 2018 general election. It is no secret that DeWit met with Ward several months ago and Ward refused to pull out of the senate race. DeWit backers say he won’t enter the race as long as Ward remains a candidate. However, some think if the Trump team offered Ward a Washington, DC position, she would pull out of the race - assuring DeWit of the Arizona win. Dems think candidate Kyrsten Sinema can beat Ward in the November general election. Copies of the “We Want DeWit” post card can be obtained by contacting Yavapai County GOP PC Rick Hennessey at rickhe1@msn.com  928 499-9342.  Cards or similiar messages should be send to: The White House, Attn: President Donald J Trump, 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., NW., Washington DC, 20500.

Editor’s Note: Please keep opinion pieces to 400 words.

Blogger Mitch Martinson: Nice commentary, Frosty! Hopefully, you got some good responses and get some positive things happening from it! Maybe, you'll prompt some of that stand-up-and-speak-out wave (Weinstein, Halperin, etc) to reach our muckiness. Editor’s Note: See gov-ducey-says-more-need-to-be-done-to-end-sexual-harassment-at-the-capitol

Blogger Barbara Espinosa: Recently Arizona State Rep Michelle Ugenti-Rita says she was sexually harassed by male colleagues and has faced retaliation for reporting her experience.

Michelle Ugenti's Masturbation Comment and Her Foot-in-Mouth Disease - As the Legislative cameras rolled, Ugenti bantered with male colleagues about how long the hearing might go on and whether there would be a break for dinner. One of them informed Ugenti: "Michelle, I have a hot date tonight." "No, you don't, stop it," she shot back. "Your right hand doesn't count." Ugenti has certainly made a name for herself.

Not Ugenti Rumors. Ugenti: Legislative privilege prevents search for evidence of affair with co-worker. Republican Rep. Michelle Ugenti is citing her legislative privilege in an attempt to block a subpoena to obtain her text messages in what is becoming a contentious divorce battle with her husband, Frank Ugenti. Editor’s Note: Espinosa’s response to 10-31-17 Briefs is well taken. The need for cleaning up the political swamps is definitely not gender exclusive! Female legislators, as well as male legislators, have created some ugly headlines over the years ranging from AZCAM to alleged traffic violations to alleged mishandling of funds. - ft

Arizona Town Crier Jim Ehl: Taken from the 10-31-17 Briefs MCRC briefs:  “It’s Been Pointed Out By Several Readers that while demanding the swamp in DC be cleaned out … perhaps we need to cleanse the hallowed halls of the Arizona State legislature as well. Stories have circulated for several years about the misbehavior of some esteemed lawmakers during drunken escapades. It’s no secret one drinks so much during working hours that he can’t make it to committee meetings. He was reportedly falling down drunk in the parking lot and had to be taken home a year or so ago. Another story circulates that he made such a mess of himself one evening that his compadres had to take him outside and hose him off before wrapping him in a sheet and to take him home. We’ve read stories about Hollywood’s famed “casting couch” and the “rushin ‘ hands and roman fingers’ of perverted lawmakers and pedophiles in DC but little has been publicized about the escapades of our own state lawmakers. Recently Arizona State Rep Michelle Ugenti-Rita says she was sexually harassed by male colleagues and has faced retaliation for reporting her experience. In reality, it’s nothing new. Over 30 years ago, I remember the anguish of one woman as she told me of a teenage daughter coerced into an affair with one of our lecherous state lawmakers. Women aren’t the only victims. “Boy toys” seem to be the preference of some of our religious and political elite. The stories go on and on and on. It’s time to clean up the home front of its grab-ass power brokers, who prey on innocent victims. – ft”

And where is the AZ GOP in all this??   Has it ever been reported BY NAME at election time by the AZ GOP, the AzRA, County Chairs, or anyone else as to how our lawmakers go about making law????

Navajo County Republican Chairman Steven Slaton: The AZGOP is hosting a statewide tour to celebrate the Republican Party being one year away from victory. The tour starts tomorrow morning in Casa Grande; then on to Tucson. The last time I looked Navajo and Apache Counties are in the state of Arizona - which they are by-passing (Giving up on 1/2 of CD-1). We all know they’re doing this is because they do not want to answer questions on why they will not follow the rule of law in regards to Chairman Jonathan Lines  refusal to turn over records.

Bob BranchFormer LD13 Chairman Dr Robert Branch and his wife Adele are hosting their annual 1-5 pm., Sat., Nov 11 Veteran’s Day BBQ fundraiser to benefit local Veterans in conjunction with Fighter Country Partnership and Fighter Country Foundation (Luke AFB). This event will also honor the Families of Luke AFB. They are counting on 300 -500 people to attend.  No admission fee, nor food charge; however, a donation to the Fighter Country Foundation is encouraged. They have a BBQ smoker that can easily feed over 1000 people, and their home is next to a seven-acre park. This is a Veteran’s Day – no campaigning although elected officials are welcome to join in the honoring of veterans. However, participants are asked to bring their own lawn chairs.

National Boycott of the NFL set for Sun., Nov 12, Veterans Day Weekend.
