Grahams-Legacy-Continues-To-Plague-AZGOP; Lines-Under-Fire After former AZGOP chair, Robert Graham, left the Republican Party in financial shambles Jonathan Lines was handed control. In office less than three months, Republican grassroots are reportedly calling for a recall of Lines as AZGOP chair.
LD23 “Quisling Resolution” Saga Update:
John-McCain-Doubles-Trump-Attack Senator John McCain (R-AZ) continues to act like he’s leading the Democrat Party instead of representing the good (conservative) people of Arizona. On Sunday the VERY senior Senator from Arizona appeared on CNN not to talk about how the legislature would be making life better for Americans, but to talk about Trump, Russia, and liberal conspiracy theories…
Keith Morrow, former LD 22 Area District Chairman: Kudos to Rae Chornenky. The first Saturday Sun City West Republican Club gathered to welcomed our new LD 22 District Chairman with open arms as she seeks to bring part the area West of the Agua Fria River back to its former prominence. The river is effectively a huge divider right down the middle of our District. The result is that the half within which the LD chairman resides is the half that gets stronger, while the other half languishes. LD 22 West of the Agua Fria has been in decline over the recent past years to the extent that once quite powerful Republican Clubs in Sun City West and Sun City Grand are mere shadows of what they have been.
James Albert: Senator John McCain said he did not think he would run again for another term, THANK GOD!
PC Jose Borrajero: The following inaccurate statement appeared in today's only official publication of the AZ GOP. "AZ House Passes Bill to Increase AZ Senate Terms - The AZ State House passed a bill last week to increase the length of State Senate terms from two years to four years. Senate President Steve Yarborough said that State Senators serving longer terms "would focus more on their district and less on campaigning for office." For the full story click here." The House did not pass the bill, only the House's Government Committee. These folks should read my reports so that they have and distribute accurate information. They also misspelled Yarbrough.
Former Maricopa County Republican Committee Chairman Lyle Tuttle: McCain To Trump: Retract Wiretap Claim Or Provide Proof “I have no reason to believe that the charge is true,” the Republican senator said. The Senator must be supporting the intelligence community due to his fear that the truth about his time in the Hanoi Hilton will be released by them. We now know who shot Kennedy, and it was not Oswald, but one of the secret service people "guarding" Kennedy, who vowed to dismantle the CIA...It is time to clean house. Saw this on TV a short time ago - made perfect sense to me: kennedy, the smoking gun
AZGOP Treasurer Bob Lettieri missed the Sat., March 11 AZGOP Exec Committee meeting in Yuma because he had made commitments to a Phoenix seminary in October 2016.
State Committeeman Constantin Querard says that Coconino County will host the next AZGOP Ex Comm meeting in the cool pines in the summer.
Arizona Town Crier Jim Ely: We get this glowing report from the state chair: ‘This weekend, I was thrilled to convene my first meeting of the AZ GOP Executive Committee. It was even more meaningful to be able to welcome the committee to my home town of Yuma. We enjoyed some bar-be-que, exercised our 2nd Amendment Rights and managed to get plenty of important business done as well.” But, notice, he didn’t report ‘what’ important business! And this report from the Arizona Daily Independent, “According to sources, Lines barely drew a quorum to his AZGOP leadership meeting in Yuma this weekend due to the fact that many voting members would not, could not or did not take the grueling trip to the remote Yuma location.” Leadership in action. The ADI points out what has been going on with the AZ GOP, what is now the situation in the AZ GOP, and then points out the procedures for a recall of Mr. Lines. Grahams-Legacy-Continues-To-Plague-AZGOP; Lines-Under-Fire This is a membership organization. If we had of had an AZ GOP Executive Committee made up of the 15 county chairmen who have purview over the PCs, who would then elect their own chair and hold the state chair accountable for party values, likely none of this would have happened. But, as long as the AZ GOP remains a ‘one man show’, don’t expect much change to happen. As long as the county
leaders chairs are too laid back to show any modicum of leadership we will most probably continue to endure a one man show of running the AZ GOP.

Congressman Paul Gosar: Protecting Our Elections From Foreign Donations - In recent years, our federal election laws have garnered much debate from across the ideological spectrum. One part of the campaign finance issue that has become commonplace in the 21st century is the receipt of campaign contributions paid by credit cards online. Current disclosure requirements for online donations make it easy for bad actors to violate federal contribution limits, or worse, for foreign money to influence U.S. elections. As technology advances, we must continue to stay ahead of the curve in thwarting those who wish to inappropriately influence our political processes. Click HERE to learn about a bill I introduced this month that prevents campaign donations of foreign nationals from influencing American elections.
Sen John McCain sent a letter to Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Inspector General (IG) Arthur A. Elkins requesting information regarding EPA and the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) decision not to prosecute potential criminal misconduct by EPA employees involved in the Gold King Mine disaster. McCain’s verbal statement: “It has been a year and a half since the Gold King Mine spill devastated the Navajo Nation, yet not a single employee at the EPA has been held accountable. Had a private company dumped toxic waste near somebody’s farmland, the EPA would be moving aggressively to put that company’s employees in jail. If the IG’s investigation uncovered evidence of potential criminal misconduct, and former officials at DOJ and EPA declined to take action, then I will be closely examining the rationale for dismissing the IG’s findings.”
On August 5, 2015, EPA staff and contractors breached an earthen dam blocking the adit to the Gold King Mine. The resulting release of three million gallons of toxic wastewater flowed into the Animas and San Juan Rivers and into the Navajo reservation. The acidic wastewater, which contained toxic metals like lead and mercury, devastated hundreds of Navajo farmers downstream of the mine. According to testimony by Doug Holtz-Eakin, president of the American Action Forum, before the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs, the total economic impact of the spill could total $335 million. The Navajo Nation is currently suing the EPA for damages.
On August 1, 2016, the EPA IG confirmed it was conducting a criminal investigation of the Gold King Mine disaster following Senators McCain and John Barrasso’s (R-WY) letter to then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch urging DOJ to initiate a criminal investigation into the spill. On October 17, 2016, Senators McCain and Barrasso sent a letter to then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch and EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy regarding information that the IG found evidence of wrongdoing, including violations of the Clean Water Act and the False Claims Act, and referred its criminal findings to the U.S. Attorney for the District of Colorado for prosecution. The same day, the U.S. Attorney declined to prosecute these offenses.
Senators John McCain and Jeff Flake have sent a letter to the National Park Service (NPS) requesting an update on its plan to address the overpopulation of bison at Grand Canyon National Park, which continue to trample native vegetation, natural springs, and sensitive grasslands, as well as pose a public safety risk for visitors. Over 600 bison roam inside Grand Canyon National Park and the adjoining Kaibab National Forest as part of a failed cattle/buffalo cross-breeding experiment dating back to the early 1900s. Without any natural predators, the bison population is projected to double every seven years. In the letter, the senators cite a letter from NPS dated April 13, 2015, that indicated a draft bison management plan would be released by the fall of 2015. Last year, NPS proposed an interim culling strategy in lieu of a comprehensive plan. To date, neither initiative has advanced beyond the agency’s study phase. “We are concerned about the length of time it is taking [Grand Canyon National Park] to develop a plan to reduce the herd using volunteer hunters in coordination with the Arizona Game and Fish Department,” the senators write. “We would appreciate a status update on your Bison Management Plan and the Initial Bison Herd Reduction action as we evaluate our legislative options for the 115th Congress.” During the 114th Congress, McCain and Flake introduced the Grand Canyon Bison Management Act, that would direct NPS to complete work on a bison management plan and allow state licensed hunters to assist the park in culling the bison population and take home the full animal carcass. The bill was passed by the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources, but never received a vote by the full Senate. Both Senators have called upon NPS to utilize hunters as part of a larger strategy to humanely remove bison from the park.
