Prayers are also needed for Chino Valley Activist Sue Goodchild’s 85 year old house guest, who fell last week and broke her hip.

The Arizona Public Service Company rate application meeting will be held at 6 pm., Mon., April 3 at the Coconino County Administrative Building, County Board of Supervisors Chambers, 219 E. Cherry Avenue instead of the Flagstaff City Council Chambers due building damage. Public Comment Hearings were held in Douglas, Clarkdale and in Phoenix in March. The last will be held at 6 pm., April 10 in Yuma on April 10 at 6 p.m. at the Historic Yuma Theatre at 254 S. Main Street.

Long-time GOP Activitist Sue Goodchild’s 85 year old house guest fell and broke her hip while visiting Sue in Chino Valley last week. Needless to say, Sue has spent considerable time at the hospital the past few days.

The Arizona Federation of Republican Women is looking for candidates for their 2018-2020 Executive Committee before May 1. Congressman Andy Biggs: As your Congressman, I am pleased to announce the 2017 U.S. Service Academy Conference for Arizona’s Fifth Congressional District.  This event is open to all high school students in the District and is designed to inform them and their families about the educational opportunities available through the U.S. Military Academy (USMA), the U.S. Naval Academy (USNA), the U.S. Air Force Academy (USAF), and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA). Students will also be able to request an application packet at the conference.The conference will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 pm in the auditorium of Williams Field High School, which is located at 2076 South Higley Road, Gilbert, Arizona 85259. Representatives from each U.S. Military Service Academy will be present to answer questions pertaining to their respective academy. Graduates from each academy will also be present to highlight the benefits of attendance.  As I am sure you know, earning a nomination to a service academy is a great privilege and honor. Congressman Andy Biggs: The Congressional Art Award is open to all high school students in Arizona’s Fifth Congressional District. Each school within the District is allowed to submit a maximum of 15 matted entries (no frames), and one entry per student. Winners of the competition will be announced at the Gilbert Historical Museum on Saturday, May 6th, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The winning piece will be hung in the U.S. Capitol for one year. All entries must be delivered by teachers or other assigned adults to the Gallery at the Gilbert Historical Museum, 10 South Gilbert Road, Gilbert, Arizona 85296 on Thursday, April 27th, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. More details to follow.
