Congressman Andy Biggs: You may have heard of an April 18th unofficial town hall. This event was planned without the office’s knowledge, consent, or proper consultation, and Congressman Biggs is not able to attend. Unfortunately, many unassuming constituents were misled with the premature and deceptive announcement of the unauthorized town hall.

LD24 PC Tristan Manos sharing observations from attending last night's MCRC EGC monthly meeting: Real News: "Important!!! Must See!!!" Fake News: "Important??? Never mind." Attention: MCRC PCs: How many of you (as in us) "We the PCs" -- realized there was to be an election to replace Tom Morrissey's vacated MCRC EGC Member-At-Large position during last night's MCRC EGC meeting? News to me (Too Little, Too Late News). How about you? Nominations were open to all active MCRC PCs. Is this something you believe is important enough to be communicated - to the greatest extent possible and for the overall good of the MCRC - to "We the PCs" given all potentially available resources throughout the MCRC? The only official MCRC communication announcing this election was emailed to -- get this -- the MCRC EGC. Remarkably, most ironically, MCRC Chairman Chris Herring presided over this meeting proudly promoting his MCRC administration as being "proactive... transparent... committed to good things for the PCs." Although Chris admits (regrettably?) to making 0 statement calling for LD Chairmen to pass this important information on to PCs, almost resigning MCRC's fate (resigning PCs' collective fate) to the MCRC possessing only EGC member email addresses (30). That's how far official MCRC communications serving PCs' interests go (except MCRC annual meetings, where MAL elections customarily take place). He can't "compel" (his word) LD Chairmen (20) to forward information on to PCs (almost 3,000); all it takes is a MCRC Chairman calling attention to something that is important to get it to "We the PCs." Why act like it's about compelling (imposing or forcing), when it's about exercising good leadership and promoting something good? Ask "Good for who?" and there's more to the story.

Randy Miller: If anything else, this is well articulated in explaining what we already know.  Just look at all the headlines coming out from BLM (Black lives matter) now saying they won't allow whites at their meetings to Obama's Shadow Government set up to undermine President Trump.  It is really crazy, almost like reading a mystery novel except it is playing out in real life. Anyway, take a look. The Civil War is Here

LD23 PC Joe Junker: See communication below on the corruption that comes from Democrats and their collusion with the main stream media.    In quotes is a piece from a communication I received this morning from Brent Bozell at Media Research Center.  Maybe a great piece for you and your readers to share to their network of contacts? "A major bombshell was dropped yesterday involving Obama National Security Advisor Susan Rice and efforts to unmask Trump transition team members picked up through surveillance efforts after the November election. Not surprisingly, the liberal media attempted to cover up the developing scandal. CNN’s Chris Cuomo labelled the story “another fake scandal.” MRC President Brent Bozell just released a statement slamming the media for their shameful defense of Susan Rice’s involvement in the unmasking scandal. Here is Brent’s full statement: “The liberal media’s ‘nothing to see here’ approach to Susan Rice’s politically-motivated unmasking of Trump associates in sensitive intelligence material is shameful. You’d think someone who lied to the press and the American people about her role in the unmasking just two weeks ago would invite more scrutiny. We have a smoking gun that points to criminal activity by President Obama’s national security advisor and the media have shown an utter lack of interest in pursuing the story. If this story is not a top priority for every news outlet, they are aiding and abetting a cover-up. President Trump has every right to be furious with the press and the American people have every reason to be disgusted." Please share this with your social network and stay tuned as we keep you up to date on the media’s coverage of this scandalous story."

Goldwater Institute CEO Darcy Olson: In Arizona, the police can seize your money and property if they suspect wrongdoing, even if you are never convicted or even charged with a crime. That’s exactly happened to Rhonda Cox in 2013. A hard-working mom who owned a used truck, Rhonda sometimes loaned her truck to her son. One day, sheriff’s deputies suspected Rhonda’s son of stealing some truck parts. So they stopped her son and then seized the truck. The deputies didn’t charge Rhonda in the theft, but they kept her truck. Going to court to get the truck back meant Rhonda would risk having to pay the government’s lawyers, too. Rhonda was a victim of asset civil forfeiture, which was originally intended to stop organized crime. Today, more and more everyday Arizonans are targets of asset forfeiture simply because they can’t afford to fight back. An independent report in January 2017 found that Arizona law enforcement agencies seized nearly $200 million in property over the past five years alone. The Institute for Justice ranks Arizona with the worst asset forfeiture laws of any state in the country. The Goldwater Institute has a reform package to stop policing for profit in Arizona and return civil asset forfeiture to its original purpose—fighting crime. And we are working with a coalition of experts to have our reforms approved. Right now, the Arizona Legislature is considering our reform package to require the police to prove wrongdoing if they want to seize someone’s property. Our reforms also improve transparency and accountability for the cash and property seized by law enforcement.

Congressional Western Caucus Chairman Paul A. Gosar after President Donald Trump signed H.J. Res. 69 into law, legislation that overturns a U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS or the Service) rule that undermines Alaska’s authority to manage fish and wildlife on state, private and federal lands: “I was proud to work alongside my colleagues in the Western Caucus to help pass this commonsense legislation into law that will protect state wildlife management authority throughout the country. The Service rule was a perfect example of the ham-handed regulations that were synonymous with the Obama Administration.  This new rule would have destroyed the cooperative relationship between the federal government and the State of Alaska. Even more troubling, it would have set a dangerous precedent for future top-down Washington mandates that supersede local management decisions,” said Chairman Gosar. “I thank Vice-Chairman Young for his excellent leadership in repealing another misguided mandate from the previous administration. Let’s keep this momentum going in the right direction.” Background: On August 5, 2016 the Obama Administration published another overreaching regulation in the form of the final rule of the FWS and the Department of Interior entitled “Non-Subsistence Take of Wildlife, and Public Participation and Closure Procedures on National Wildlife Refuges in Alaska” (81 Fed. Reg. 52247). The State of Alaska filed a lawsuit on January 13, 2017, to overturn the August 5th final rule. Safari Club International, in conjunction with the Alaska Chapter and Alaska Kenai Peninsula Chapter, also filed a lawsuit on January 19, 2017, to overturn this rule.

Congressman Paul Gosar after leading and submitting an appropriations language request to the House Appropriations Committee to prevent funds from going to “sanctuary cities” that prevent law enforcement officials from faithfully executing our immigration laws: “The concept of ‘sanctuary city’ policies is in direct opposition to the Rule of Law and our Constitution. Article 1, Section 8, Clause 4, gives Congress clear jurisdiction on immigration matters,” stated Gosar. “I’m pleased to see President Trump and Attorney General Sessions lead on this issue, but the House must also act by using the power of the purse. It’s long past time for Congress to crack down and defund sanctuary city policies that are proven to be deadly and put the security of our communities at risk.” Full text of the appropriations language request can be found HERE. The list of 35 House members who cosponsored this language request include Representatives Abraham, Arrington, Babin, Barletta, Brady, Brat, Mo Brooks, Buck, Cramer, DeSantis, Duncan, Farenthold, Franks, Gosar, Grothman, Hensarling, Hice, Hunter, Sam Johnson, Jones, Kelly, Steve King, Lamborn, Marino, McCaul, McClintock, Meadows, Olson, Ratcliffe, Rooney, Rouzer, Schweikert, Wagner, Webster and Yoho. Sanctuary city policies, at their core, are a flagrant violation of the Rule of Law. A nation of laws must enforce established law, not seek ways to skirt enforcement. Sanctuary cities defy federal immigration laws by harboring untold numbers of illegal immigrants and providing safe havens for criminals, many of whom are violent offenders. The House has voted and passed language that prohibits federal funds from going to sanctuary cities five different times in recent years.

Congressman Andy Biggs: When I took office in January, I promised to host in-person town hall meetings for constituents of Arizona’s Fifth Congressional District in April. April is here, and so is my first town hall – 7 pm, Tues, April 11 at Without Walls Church, 1303 S Lindsay Road in Mesa. Because space is limited, we can only accommodate constituents of Arizona’s Fifth Congressional District and you must RSVP in advance to attend. To attend, please RSVP to az05.townhalls@mail.house.gov and include name, address, and email of each person attending. Soon, we will announce our second town hall for the April district work period – stay tuned to my social media platforms on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. I hope to see you in attendance and look forward to a robust discussion about the issues facing our country. Due to restrictions, constituents may not park or line up on the property before 6 PM. Doors will open at 6:30 PM. Attendees with signs, banners, or objects that create a disturbance will not be admitted.  To ensure a safe, enjoyable, and productive town hall, all attendees must comply with posted and audible instructions and failure to comply will result in immediate removal.

Congresswoman Martha McSally update: Many little girls grow up hearing that they can be whatever they want to be, but the reality is that women still face barriers simply because of their gender. In July, I launched the Working Group on Women in the 21st Century Workforce to understand and address the root causes of these challenges women encounter.

· Last week, I chaired the working group’s third hearing to study what businesses on the cutting edge are doing to empower their female employees to achieve their full potential.  We heard from Gap, American Southwest Credit Union in Sierra Vista Arizona, and Northrop Grumman Corporation which serves Sierra Vista and Fort Huachuca, Arizona. These successful businesses shared how they have implemented policies to retain female talent and testified how it has helped their bottom line. Click here to learn more.

· The last time our government tested American vulnerabilities related to terrorist travel was in 2009. Given the rise of ISIS, it is imperative that we identify our weaknesses that could be exploited by terrorists and foreign fighters so we can begin to address them. I authored the Terrorist and Foreign Fighter Travel Exercise Act, a bill that would direct the executive branch to conduct another test. This is long overdue, and I am pleased the House unanimously passed my bill to get it done. Click HERE to learn more.

· All along our border, “spotters” camp out and transmit information about the position and surveillance efforts of Border Patrol to transnational criminal organizations, helping them traffic drugs, money, weapons, and people into our communities. During multiple trips to the border, I’ve seen where these spotters operate and heard frustrations from ranchers and Border Patrol about the lack of consequences and penalties spotters face. Last week, I introduced legislation to intercept their activity and dismantle their operation. Click HERE to read the Washington Times write-up on the bill.

· As a retired Air Force Colonel A-10 warthog pilot who deployed six times to the Middle East and Afghanistan, I have dedicated my life to protecting our country and our allies. Last week I addressed 18,000 pro-Israel activists from across the country at AIPAC’s annual policy conference. I am a supporter of a close U.S.–Israel alliance, and I couldn’t be more proud that my district and state play a crucial role in ensuring that Israel comes to the fight better equipped than ever before. To watch my full remarks, click below.

· 1 out of 4 people struggle with mental illness, and our failed mental health care system has left families and communities with nowhere to turn for too long. I was privileged to deliver opening remarks, sing the national anthem, and serve as the Honorary Chair for the 2017 NAMIWalk of Southern Arizona this past Saturday to raise awareness for mental health. Click HERE to learn how I have consistently advocated to fix this broken system in my role in Congress.

Congresswoman Martha McSally chaired a Homeland Security Committee hearing yesterday examine the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS)’s counter network strategy to degrade and dismantle Transnational Criminal Organizations (TCOs)—also known as drug cartels—along our border. Specifically, the hearing evaluated the coordination between the DHS’s three joint task forces. The hearing featured testimony from directors and commanders of all three joint task forces, including DHS Joint Task Force—West’s Commander Paul Beeson. “It takes a network to defeat a network,” said McSally, Chairwoman of the Border and Maritime Security subcommittee. “Obscene profit margins power the cartels’ ability to be creative, nimble and entrepreneurial as they smuggle vast quantities of illicit drugs across the border. We should begin with the development a counter-network approach that looks at disrupting every level of cartel operations. Beyond our strategic approach to counter the cartels, we need to be properly organized to fight them as well.” In one exchange with Director Ayala of the Investigations Joint Task Force, McSally asked, “Can you share with us your perspective on the presence of TCOs within the 50 states? We have a pretty significant presence of cartel activity and operatives.” “They are everywhere. We have TCOs in every city across the United States and we are working to minimize the impact in all those cities,” Ayala responded. “Our strategy is to pursue every element of TCOs from a network point of view, whether they are in China or coming up through the southern border, we are looking at all the sources of supply, distribution, transportation networks and putting that together, looking at supply chain investments and seeing how we can look for vulnerabilities to pursue enforcement against them.” Watch exchange HERE. Watch McSally’s other rounds of questioning HERE and HERE.

Senator John McCain, Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, released the following statement today on the reported chemical attack in Syria: “Just days after Secretary of State Tillerson said the Syrian people themselves would decide the future of their country, Syrian warplanes reportedly launched a chemical attack on an opposition-held town in northern Syria, killing at least 58 people, including 11 children. The initial strike was followed by rocket attacks on clinics treating the wounded. “With President Obama’s ‘red line’ far in the rear-view mirror, Assad believes he can commit war crimes with impunity. The question that confronts the United States now is whether we will take any action to disabuse him of this murderous notion. Aided and abetted by Putin’s Russia, the Iranian regime, and its terrorist proxies, Assad will resort to any form of butchery he believes necessary to preserve his dictatorship, from chemical weapons to barrel bombs to torture chambers like Saydnaya prison. In case it was not already painfully obvious: the notion that the Syrian people would be able to decide the fate of Assad or the future of their country under these conditions is an absurd fiction. The recent statements by U.S. officials suggesting otherwise only serve to legitimize the actions of this war criminal in Damascus.”

Sen Jeff Flake Update:
