Trumphooey In the face of yet another onslaught from the never-Trump, ever-snorting boars (actually, bores) in the media, echoed by world so-called leaders from Europe and elsewhere, and by the brainwashed Democrats who can still commandeer a platform for a statement, it is time to pour another dose of cold reality onto the overheated political front. Briefly: behind the Gadarene rush to condemn President Trump's announcement that he will no longer abide by the provisions of the Paris Agreement signed by President Obama is nothing more than political posturing. The campaign is designed only to spread rampant disinformation in an effort to undermine Trump's public support.

Catholic-Farmers-Banned-From Market-Place For Religious-Beliefs The Tennes family has been farming in Michigan for generations. They grow all sorts of crops at the Country Mill Farm — organic apples, blueberries, pumpkins, and sweet corn. “My wife and I both volunteered to serve in the military. Now we come home and the freedom that we worked to protect, we have to defend in our own backyard.” And for the past seven years, Steve Tennes and his family have sold their produce at the farmer’s market owned by the city of East Lansing. But this year — city officials told the devout Catholic family that their blueberries and sweet corn were not welcome at the farmer’s market. And neither were they.

Congressman Paul Gosar: Over the past few weeks, I have had the distinct pleasure of recognizing a number of members of our law enforcement community for their dedicated service protecting the people of Arizona. One of those honored was Detective Michael Fuller of the Lake Havasu City Police.  Detective Fuller has served for over 14 years and I was honored to recognize him for his outstanding service. As I mentioned at the ceremony, too often we see our law enforcement officers demonized. It’s a great feeling to recognize the positive impacts of these dedicated men and women. I also was honored to also recognize Officer Cozens of the Prescott Valley Police Department and Detective Lahey of the Wickenburg Police Department among others who serve in Arizona's Fourth Congressional District day in and day out. I am proud of these officers' combined decades of service and all those like them who put their lives on the line for our neighbors and communities.

Congressman Paul Gosar: I would like to take the opportunity to talk with you about my concerns with a Border Adjustment Tax (BAT), an idea bantered around by some to raise revenue for the federal government, particularly as part of broader tax reform that would lower overall corporate and individual income tax rates. This tax is aimed to offset a decreased corporate tax rate by charging a percentage fee (usually around 20%) for all goods shipped into the United States at the time they clear customs. While some see this as a clever way to raise new revenue without increasing a particular tax bracket’s burden, what it truly amounts to is a tax on all consumers. As a result, anything imported would cost more – not only unnecessarily taking money out of the pockets of hardworking American families but also at the expense of small businesses across the country. Like any other tax, such a move would dampen the present business climate and undercut growth. Unlike other taxes, a border tax also carries with it the high-likelihood of a retaliative tax on American goods overseas. This would do even more damage to American businesses and would potentially raise geopolitical tensions with allies. This anti-growth measure would crush what is left of the middle class and undermine the American economy at home and our ability to compete abroad. Even if such a proposal were to pass through the House of Representatives, it is almost certainly doomed when it hits the Senate floor….

Congressional Western Caucus Chairman Paul A. Gosar in response to President Donald J. Trump’s decision to withdraw from the Paris Climate Agreement: “I am thrilled by President Trump’s withdrawal from the Paris Climate Agreement. It is high time that we do away with this unconstitutional treaty negotiated by former President Obama,” said Gosar. “Withdrawing from the agreement shows the American people and the world that he means business, follows through on his promises, and puts America first. From the American Energy Independence Executive Order to repealing a multitude of onerous rules and regulations, President Trump and his Administration have already made excellent progress to roll back Obama’s attack on affordable energy. Ringing up with a price tag of nearly a trillion dollars a year to reduce the average global temperature by one third of one degree, this bad investment defied commonsense with embarrassing returns. I don’t care what shade of lipstick you put on this pig, at the end of the day it’s still a pig and I’m glad to see this out of touch pipedream put out to pasture once and for all.”

Congressman Andy Biggs said, “President Trump followed through on another significant promise to the American people by removing the nation from the Paris Climate Agreement. This agreement was the capstone of the Obama Administration’s attempt to circumvent the constitutional powers of Congress and the antithesis of job creation and American energy production. By withdrawing from the agreement, President Trump has signaled to foreign powers and bureaucrats that the United States will not be subject to unattainable and unproductive environmental standards that will have a detrimental effect on hard-working Americans and do not come with a guarantee of compliance from other nations. I applaud President Trump for his forward thinking, commitment to his promises, and protection of American sovereignty.”
