7-12-17 Briefs

Republican Briefs

AZGOP Secretary Gabby Mercer: A group of State Committeemen have asked me to announce that they are now gathering signatures to hold a special meeting to remove Chairman Jonathan Lines from office.  I have seen the official call. In my judgment, these are serious people and this is a credible initiative. The date of the special meeting has been set. The official call has been printed. It’s evident to me that this group of State Committeemen are paying close attention to following the Bylaws requirements for a special meeting. All that’s needed to make the call complete is for 20% or more of the State Committeemen to sign the call. It is my understanding that members of this group began to contact leaders and State Committeemen around the state, for signature gathering this week. The date of the special meeting will be made public soon after the call and signatures are delivered to me. According to the bylaws, Chairman Lines will have 10 days to inspect and challenge any signatures. Then it will be my duty, as secretary, to mail the official call to all State Committeemen. I accept my responsibilities as secretary, and I pledge to the State Committeemen that if a call with sufficient qualified signatures comes to me, I will mail the call.

Request to Initiate Legal Action: Judicial Watch has sent a letter, in behalf of former Senator Russell Pearce, to Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich regarding Pearce’s concerned about the use of public moneys by the Arizona Board of Regents to provide in-state tuition to Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) recipients. The letter requests that Brnovich initiate legal action to enjoin the further use of public monies within 60 days or Pearce intends to initiate legal action under A.R.S. §35-213 to recover all of the alleged unlawful expenditures by ABOR incurred thus far plus interest,

LD8 PC George Grove: When is the President going to stop this miscarriage of justice case against Sherriff Joe Arpaio. This is a fabrication to get back at him for daring to fight back against Obama, Holder, and company. Grove is the Program Director for the SaddleBrooke Republican Club.

PC Art Olivas: The Republican Party is a myth full of RINOs and self-serving politicians, who are a useful and powerful extension of the Democratic Dark money Machine. Where are all the LD Republican Chairmen or our so called leaders - Jonathan Lines, John McCain, Jeff  Flake, Bill Montgomery, Jeff DeWitt, Steve Montenegro and Robert Graham. Must I go on? Why aren’t the Good Old boys all over this? How much are they getting payed to support or go along with Soro’s Paul Penzone?? Is this Republican State in the Democrats hip pocket? It’s a sad day when we citizens of Phoenix pay the Phoenix Police to serve Mexico and their illegal aliens. When are we going to wake up and do something  for ourselves? If you waiting for the Arizona Republican Party to do anything - don’t forget they got us into this mess. And we voted them into office! Did we research them? Hell no! Like sheep we followed the lobbyists, their endorsers and big signs paid for with dark money! Nobody is taking anything away from us. You are giving America away. Keep doing what you have been doing, keep voting for the same people, and you will be speaking Spanish in no time! I have been told to cool it. After they get me, they will be coming after you! You can take that to the bank! I say what I mean and I mean what I say! El tudy Mexican Bandit!  Can any body prove me wrong? I would like to see the truth so I can spread it!!  See  Phx PD ties officers’ hands in arrests of illegal aliens

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell Delays August Recess To Complete Work On Health-Care Bill McConnell announced that he will delay the August recess by two weeks to complete work on the GOP health-care proposal and other issues. “In order to provide more time to complete action on important legislative items and process nominees that have been stalled by a lack of cooperation from our friends across the aisle, the Senate will delay the start of the August recess until the third week of August,” McConnell said. RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel: "I applaud Senate Majority Leader McConnell for keeping the senators here in Washington. This past November, voters across this country put faith in Republican leadership to repeal and replace Obamacare and now we have to earn that faith and that trust. We're going to do that by working through this recess and showing that we're committed to finding a solution to premiums that are doubling across this country, to insurers pulling out of marketplaces, and deductibles that are so high that people are actually afraid of their health insurance. We know the Democrats are nowhere to be found. They created this mess. They're hiding under a rock somewhere. Republicans are committed to finding solutions."
