Klayman: Another Failure of US Leadership That Could Be Catastrophic! Where Were You Obama and McCain? Millions of American lives could be at stake as North Korea threatens to attack power grid

Gov Doug Ducey and the Arizona legislature were recognized recently by National Review magazine for reducing the cost barriers to low-income workers obtaining a professional license.

LD18 State Committeeman/Recall Supporter Peggy McClain: Regarding the AZGOP Chair recall effort, I am so happy those who fought for us in the Revolutionary War did not give up before they started. And I am also glad President Donald Trump and his supporters did not throw in the towel last fall when all looked bleak against Hillary Clinton. Thank you, Marianne, for your efforts. You have given the Conservatives lots to ponder as we move forward to the next election season.

Marcus Kelley, LD20 PC/State Committeeman: Ms. Irene Littleton, respectfully, there is absolutely no reason for conservatives to ever buy the Kum By Yah line…ever.  Rest assured, whenever the pro-establishment, big government “Republicans” tout the 11th Commandment, or talk about unity, they're hiding a dagger behind their backs, waiting for conservatives to stupidly buy the argument…again.  When we talk about unity, we’re offering our throats to be slit by our “fellow” party members.  Rest assured, the pro-establishment, big government “Republicans” are already castigating those supporting a special meeting as cowards for not making their names public, just take a look at Lisa James’ writings on Sonoran Alliance’s Facebook page this weekend.  Additionally, Matthew Kenney asked me if I had signed the petition and I boldly told him I did.  There’s ONE reason and one reason alone as to why they want the names:  to target those PCs in primary elections to remove them as PCs; to replace them with non-ideological, do-nothing “paper PC” lemmings that will never show up to anything other than an organizational meeting, then evaporate in 2 years; to oppose them for any Party office; and to blackball them in any fashion they can.  If the establishment “Republicans” were truly interested in unity, they wouldn’t be asking for the list of signatories to the petition for a Special Meeting.  If they were truly interested in Kum By Yah, the 11th Commandment, unity, and holding hands, they’d be saying, “OK, the special meeting effort is over.  Let’s forget that now, put it behind us, and let’s get along for the rest of Chairman Lines’ term.  Let’s let bygones be bygones.  How can we get you more involved?”  No such olive branch has been extended.  Quite the opposite:  they’re hunting the signatories so they can target them. How do we know the establishment “Republicans” are targeting the signatories they find?  Because they’ve done it before, they have a long and consistent history of targeting those who oppose them, and the leopard doesn’t change its spots.  Ask Timothy Schwartz, Wes Harris, Lynne Weaver and her fellow conservatives, and the conservatives in Heather Carter’s district if they were targeted. The lessons are clear:  only a fool buys into Kum By Yah, the establishment types give us only the option of eternal war, the establishment always lies, and they’re always hiding a dagger for the instant you relax your guard.

Former Maricopa County Treasurer Charles ‘Hos’ Hoskins: Frosty, I would like to pass my congratulations to Debbi Lesko on her “How Can I Help You” report in the 8-30-17 Briefs. It conveyed the type of information that is needed to help citizens realize that our elected officers do provide assistance to those that need help. I would encourage other legislators to make similar reports. Something even better would be a monthly report posted on the legislative website that gives a brief description of assistance provided by each legislator. They might even get favorable mention by the media occasionally. Another monthly legislative report I would like to see is a summary of each interaction by a legislator with a lobbyist. Content would be such items as the purpose of the interaction, name of the lobbyist and the client represented. You do great work.

Arizona State Senator Steve Smith: President Trump was right to end DACA as it was an unconstitutional power grab by former President Obama.  It is the responsibility of Congress to set immigration law in this country and I hope they will take this moment to resolve the issue once and for all.  That means resolving not just the fate of the “Dreamers”, but of our border security, the use of e-verify on a national basis, and the end of chain migration.  The country is watching to see who is serious and who is just playing politics with this critical issue, much as the people of Arizona's First Congressional District are watching to see if Congressman O'Halleran will finally admit that real border security must be a part of any serious Congressional effort.”

LD23 PC Boe James: I have not seen it mentioned anywhere yet, but I can bet that Naval Station Mayport (Jacksonville) Florida is preparing to sortie all ships and aircraft and that all ships in Charleston, Norfolk and Little Creek have been put on notice to prepare to sortie.  Additionally, I would bet that all the large amphibious force ships in readiness condition are preparing for humanitarian relief efforts either along the US coast and to Caribbean islands such as Haiti and Puerto Rico, or to both the US and the Caribbean. The Kearsarge, currently doing Harvey relief operations, was involved in the relief operations in Haiti after that island was struck by a hurricane in 2008.  If Haiti or Puerto Rico suffer significant damage from Irma, no doubt an LHA or a couple LSD/LPDs will be sent for that relief effort. The Navy has to sortie its ships early so that they can get north and then well east of the hurricane and then they can come in behind it and return to port shortly after the hurricane has left the area.  Ships are far safer at sea than in port where they can get beaten against the piers or break lines and be blown aground. Editor’s Note: James is a retired Naval officer.

Conservative GOP Phoenix Activist Rob Haney told The Wanderer: “Justice was well served when President Trump pardoned Sheriff Arpaio. The irony is that we can no longer expect to receive justice through our courts. The left has politicized the judiciary, just as they have the rest of society. “We can thank God that legal organizations such as Alliance Defending Freedom, Judicial Watch, the Thomas More Society and the American Center for Law and Justice have risen to protect us from our government,” said Haney, a retired chairman of the Maricopa County Republican Party. “The Founders divided the government into three branches with the intent of preventing a tyrannical ruling class, but the Democrats and the Republicans in Name Only (RINOs) have united to promulgate tyranny from the left,” he said. US Senate candidate Dr Kelli Ward: It's important to unite behind the one person who will win the primary AND the general - and that's me. Our momentum is growing - Ingraham, Levin, Hannity, Rollins, Jan Morgan, Joy Villa, Citizens for Trump - even mentioned by Rush! Too many PCs and voters to even count. The conservative side of the party needs to show that we are ready, willing, and able to win. Continuing to propose other candidates or belittle the front runner is the exact wrong way to win. Unite and we win.
