Editor’s Note: Please keep opinion pieces to 400 words.

LD26 State Committeeman Joe Neglia: I just ordered a copy of Dan Schultz' new book on Amazon and can't wait to start reading! This is exactly what we need to help spread the word and get more good people on board to help save our Republic. This is a book I look forward to sharing.

LD23 PC Boe James: Last week President Trump had declared a national day of prayer for the people of Texas.  I think we all should give special prayers on this Sunday, 9/10 for all the people of Texas and Florida impacted by either Harvey or Irma and not wait until after the hurricane is over to pray for those in Florida.  We should also pray for our country and especially for those impacted by the horrific events of 16 years ago on September 11th.

Randy Miller, Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officer Association (CSPOA) spokesman: Our Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officer Association (CSPOA) meetings will continue to be the 3rd and 4th Tuesday evenings of the month, while we are working on getting two Saturdays a month for training sessions in Radio Communications, Emergency Medical, Personal, and Neighborhood Security, and personal firearms instruction and familiarization. Our next meeting is on Tues, Sept 12th at 7pm at the Paseo Verde Christian Church, 7569 W. Greenway Rd, Peoria 85381.Our meetings are open to the public and are legislators are welcome and encouraged to participate.  This topic will be on the 4th amendment and natural disasters, specifically the idea of "Gun Confiscation" by the government.  What can and should the community do, and what should our legislators do further to protect these 2nd and 4th amendment rights?

Arizona Constitutional Advocates spokesman Francine Romesburg: Tues, Sept 12, 2017 our Arizona State Legislators are hosting an official National Convention to authorize rules to be proposed to the First Article V approved Convention of States. We The Citizens must protest against this sham Convention. We, our Senators and Legislators have been deceived! This Resolution refers to a Balanced Budget Amendment and was passed and signed by our Governor. Sounds like a great idea, right? It isn’t. Read the bill. First know and understand it has been taken out of We The People’s hands. We have no idea of who the Delegates being selected and authorized to convene and vote at this Convention will be. We could end up with a completely rewritten Constitution – not the intent of our Founding Fathers. We have no say. If you thought as I did originally we citizens would have control over what transpires at this Convention, we were wrong. Want to get back to what our Founding Fathers intended with an Article 5 Convention – to correct any defects in the Constitution; be in control; guarantee no ‘runaway’ convention, then make sure our voices are heard. Be down at the Capital Tues., Sept 12, 2017 at Noon, the start of this Rules Planning Convention for 2018.. It goes thru Friday Sept 15, at 3 pm. With 27 states having passed applications out of the needed 34 this Convention is very close to happening in 2018. Our federal government will be one of general and unlimited powers vs the Constitutional created federal government we now have giving them more power over the budget. Be there with signs and let your voices be heard in opposition to this Legislative piece of Deception. Contact Romesburg at 602-499-9553 .

Iowa Sen Joni Ernst: I’m travelling around Arizona to visit with the great folks who elected my friend, Jeff Flake, to the Senate five years ago. I’ve come to know Jeff over the last few years and have seen how committed he is to cutting the pork that’s all too prevalent in Washington.   Washington waste has been abhorrent for decades, but principled conservatives like Jeff are going to be the catalyst for getting the budget back under control and guaranteeing our place as the world’s greatest economy. It looks like Jeff is in for a tough fight in 2018 with the special interests and far-left lining up to spend millions against him. Make no mistake, these groups spend on elections because they want the government to keep funding their niche projects. I know Jeff will fight tirelessly against this sort of wasteful spending. Let’s keep cutting the pork together—chip in
