archie dicksionArizona’s Anti-Proxie Petition Is available for electronic signatures, according to spokesman Archie Dicksion. The petition would amend Arizona Revised State Code Section 16-828 to prohibit political party members from carrying unlimited proxies for business meeting – or limit proxies to two per person per meeting. Grassroots party activists have complained for several years about the abuse of voting power by those carrying 20-40 proxies to legislative, county and state meeting - thus controlling the election of new officers and the vote on various issues. Due to speculated corruption at recent election meetings, some LD’s have already put limited proxy carrying regulations into effect. The root of the problem starts with the recruitment of precinct committeemen who rarely, if ever attend meeting, but turn their voting power over to “cbell cows” who gather large quantities of proxies in an effort to control the outcome of various issues including the election of officers. To put a stop to this practice, click on Proxie petition. Complete the information on the form, then click on the signature block and you can sign on your computer by using the mouse or on your Iphone, or android by using your finger. The anti-proxie petition reads:

REPUBLICAN PARTY PLATFORM 2016, PAGE 16: “Honest elections are the foundation of representative government... We are concerned, however, that some voting procedures may be open to abuse.”
ROBERT’S RULES OF ORDER: “Voting by proxy is inconsistent with the fundamental concept that voting rights are not transferrable.”

ARIZONA HOUSE LEGISLATURE RULE 14: “No member shall be permitted to vote unless present in person to cast his vote.”
BY SIGNING THIS PETITION we are requesting that the Arizona State Legislature prohibit the use of proxies at political party votes, or limit their use to no more than two (2) proxies per carrier…”

Please contact your elected legislative representative Legislative Member Roster to let them know you would like the legislation amended to limit the use of proxies at District, County and State Meetings. Contact Dicksion at – ft
