Superintendent of Public Instruction Diane Douglas has announced that 35 Arizona public schools are being recognized as 2016-17 Arizona Civic Engagement schools by the Arizona Department of Education (ADE) Excellence in Civic Engagement Program (ECEP). Now in its fifth year, ECEP recognizes and supports the important role schools play in ensuring that students are informed and engaged citizens. “The most important work we conduct in education is preparing our students to become successful citizens and help perpetuate a prosperous republic,” Superintendent Douglas said. “There are few things I see as more important than helping them understand their civic rights, roles and responsibilities as American citizens. The schools being honored as part of the ECEP program are shining examples of the work being done in Arizona to prepare our students to actively participate in their communities and government when they leave the school system.” Public schools from around the state, both traditional and charter, applied for recognition as an Arizona Civic Engagement school with one of the following designations: School of Merit, School of Distinction or School of Excellence. Of those schools, 19 have been recognized as Schools of Merit, eight have been honored as Schools of Distinction and eight have received the most prestigious recognition as Schools of Excellence. The schools will be formally recognized at an award ceremony at the 5th Annual Civic Learning Conference on March 2, 2018.

James Spackman, President of Mingus Mountain Republican Club President James
Spackman to AZGOP Chairman Jonathan Lines:
I am writing to ask for your help. We at the Mingus Mountain Republican Club in Cottonwood want action to be taken to restrain our two rogue Senators John McCain and Jeff Flake. They no longer represent us. They speak against President Trump, and take action against his agenda to take our country back. The media needs to be informed by you or someone in authority that both McCain and Flake do not speak for us. They are no longer working for or with us. To them, we appear to be deplorables. First, Senator Flake spends most all of his time speaking against President Trump. He gets free network exposure doing this. He doesn’t approve of the wall or immigration controls. He agrees more with the Democrats than the Republicans. Although he is not running again he appears to want to tear down the country and our President as he goes. Second, Senator McCain is also working against us, and is ineffective in supporting Republican bills. He often speaks and votes against Republican sponsored bills, and now he cannot vote because he is not well enough to be in D.C. We are sorry he is battling for his health, but the fact is that he cannot vote if he too sick to be in D.C. We are sending this letter to all Republican Clubs to let them know we are tired of being used by Senators who don’t vote the way they promised. Why should we support them and vote for them when their actions are different than their promises? We want our GOP to make this known to the media and our Senators, McCain and Flake. What will you do? And when? We trust that you will gather a response to this request from our Republican brothers and sisters in Arizona. We are anxious to hear your response—Let’s do something!! Contact: Editor’s Note: 100% of the Mingus Mountain Club voted to send this letter to Ducey. They have received no answer at post time. - ft

Former PC Wayne Blair: Shouldn't the ABC program, The View, with such outstanding and illinformed ilk, be renamed "The Coven", to more appropriately reflect the panelists?

CALL TO ACTION: LD30 PC Timothy Schwartz: House Bill 2012m which limits the numberof proxie to two (2), that can be carried by one individual at political party meetings in Arizona passed the House Government Committee by a 5 to 3 vote on February 8, 2018. The Bill should have been placed on the agenda for the Rules Committee last week or certainly no later than this coming week. Since it has not made the Rules Committee Agenda, it would appear that it is being blocked by someone at a higher level. It could be that the Rules Committee Chair, Thomas Shope has decided to not add the BILL to the agenda. It could also be that the Speaker of the House, J. D. Mesnard has requested that it not be heard or, it could be that someone from the Office of The Governor of the State of Arizona has requested the matter not be take up before the legislature. There could also be others that are requesting the matter not be considered. We have come a long way and fought a hard battle to correct the misuse of proxies in the Republican Party. We have reached this plateau and the time to stop is not now. Listed below is the name, email address and phone number of each member of the House Rules Committee as well as the that of the House Speaker, J.D. Mesnard and The Governor of the State of Arizona. Your assistance is needed at this time to call all of these people and urge them to place the matter on the agenda for the Rules committee and to bring it before the House for a vote. Rules Committee:

· John Allen                602-926-4916

· Winona Benally 602-926-5172

· Paul Boyer 602-926-4173

· Diego Espinoza     602-926-3134

· David Livingston    602-926-5735

· Rebecca Rios 602-926-3073

· Thomas Shope          602-926-3012

· Kelly Townsend     602-926-4467

· Speaker, J.D. Mesnard        602-926-4481

· Governor  Doug Ducey 602-542-4331

Tom Morrissey, Past Chairman AZ GOP: Last Monday evening I had the pleasure of addressing the Leisure World Republican Club, a large and energetic group that is under the dynamic leadership of Diane Andersen. It was very interesting and encouraging to see the look in the eyes of so many in the audience as I explained to them what is really going on within our state party these days, and has been going on for the past few years. I was delighted to have the opportunity to once again be able to tell the story of my challenges, when chairman, with the Ruling Class (what I have now come to realize was/is part of the Deep State).  A great awaking has begun and I will do my best to help make certain that it continues, as I continue my visits to the clubs and other grassroots organizations around the state talking about our party. The reaction to the telling of what is going on with Steven Seagal and my new novel "The Way Of The Shadow Wolves" was also extremely gratifying. And what is going on is simply, that the internet trolls are having an absolute fit over the fact that it is topping almost every Amazon genre that it is on.

We talked about the principle of "We The People", those glorious words that were the very beginning of this great blessing known as America.  What resonated through this group of patriots was that this glorious phrase reminds us all that the power rests with us, "We The People" and not with the Ruling Class Establishment Elite, and it is time for that reality to finally take hold.  It was a great meeting.

Sen candidate Martha McSally: The Left is desperate – real desperate. They know that if they flip the Senate, they can kill the "America First" agenda we have worked so hard to put in place. And they will stop at nothing to make sure that happens. And that's why I need your immediate help. The Democrat machine is going to be spending millions to try and defeat me and our conservative values. In fact, they have already started attacking me. I'm a walking target, because Arizona's senate seat is the key to their success in winning back a majority in the Senate. And the truth is Friend, without your support, I won't have the funds to fight back against their false claims and attacks... and the Democrats will win and destroy all of the progress we've made. If you can afford to contribute any amount to help my campaign, I would be forever grateful. Your donation will ensure we can fight back and keep our nation safe, our military strong, and our economy booming. <chip in>
