3-14-18 Briefs

Joe Neglia 2LD26 PC Joe Neglia: The LD26 Republican Committee overwhelmingly passed a resolution last night (Tuesday 3/13) in support of HB2012 to limit proxy voting. The vote was 15 to 1. All in-person. It appears that the grassroots PCs who actually show up at District meetings are strongly in favor of this bill, so let's not waste this opportunity to speak out loudly and clearly to our state legislature. If you feel strongly about this issue, please introduce this resolution at YOUR next District meeting. I'm sure that Reps Tom Shopes & JD Mesnard would love to see the results!

LD26 Passes Resolution (15-1) To Limit Proxy Voting:

Resolution In Support Of HB2012

· Whereas, the ongoing extensive, essentially unlimited, use of proxies in political parties undermines election integrity and the principle of "1 person-1 vote";

· Whereas, in American elections, American citizens rightfully get 1 vote, and only 1 vote.

· Whereas, likewise, members of the Arizona State Legislature (AZLEG) rightfully get 1 vote and only 1 vote;

· Whereas, likewise, as a matter of principle, PCs should get 1 vote and only 1 vote;

· Whereas, the Arizona State Legislature, along with the Arizona Governor, rightfully passed a law to end "Ballot Harvesting";

· Whereas, Robert's Rules of Order states that proxy voting should neither be allowed nor required, as it is "incompatible with the essential characteristics of a deliberative assembly in which membership is individual, personal, and nontransferable";

· Whereas, the status quo essentially amounts to condoning a form of "Proxy Harvesting";

· Whereas, AZLEG HB2012, short of being perfect, goes far in discouraging and minimizing the dangerous abuse of proxy voting by responsibly limiting the use of proxies;

· Whereas, HB2012 represents an admirable and remarkable good faith compromise; and

· Whereas, the AZLEG House Government Committee already passed HB2012, responsibly limiting the use of proxies, generating momentum for its passage into law; therefore be it

· Resolved, that the Legislative District 26 Republican Committee hereby encourages, all Republican officeholders in the Arizona Legislature vote to pass HB2012 through the legislative process at any and every opportunity, up to and including making good on HB2012 being signed into law by the Governor, all in the spirit of faithfully serving and representing their constituents.

tom morrisseyFormer AZGOP Chairman Tom Morrissey will feature Irish music – performed by Irish men and women at 3 pm., Thurs., March 15 in honor of St. Patrick's Day on his radio show on KRIM 96.3 FM in Payson and  So please listen in on Thursday at 3:00 PM (Arizona time). You’ll hear some artists that Morrissey has worked with over the years and also get a feel for the struggles of the Irish people which has inspired some of the music. An important thing to know is that the phrase St Paddy's Day is a bit insulting to the Irish.  The same with "Paddy Wagon", which was the name of the vehicles that hauled some Irishmen off to jail. Happy Saint Patrick's Day all.

Activist Noel Rosen: What has happened to Wickenburg? First the liberals have turned Wickenburg Town Hall into a gun free zone over the last couple of weeks and now it has been discovered that Michelle Harris, a Democratic candidate for Arizona State Senate in LD13 is planning on having a meet and greet this Saturday in Wickenburg at Stone Park from 2pm - 4pm. And guess who will be speaking at her rally? Deedra Abboud, a Muslim candidate who is running as a Democrat for the United States Senate that has ties to CAIR. In fact, Abboud once served as director for CAIR's AZ chapter just after 9/11.  Another speaker at this rally will be Kathy Hoffman who is running for Superintendent For Public Instruction who wants to use the school system to teach kids about gender equality and other liberal ideals.  One of the other things to note, this rally  is also helped being organized by the AZResist Movement which as you know is an Anti-Trump group that also has aligned itself with Puente and Antifa. These are not the people we need holding rallies here in Wickenburg. I plan on counter-demonstrating because I believe that we need to support not only our President but also because we need to support God and country. If anyone is interested in joining me in protesting please feel free to give me a call at 480-980-8541. Thank you. Rosen is a Wickenburg City Council candidate.

larry sorensonLD22 PC Larry Sorenson: I agree with your scathing rebuke and your specific reference to proctologists and nutritionists needing to set limits on consumption of establishment rulings. Is that obscure enough but still complimentary? This move is disgraceful and an indicator of the established rulers to thwart actions by the rabble. So what is the purpose of my continued head bashing against the vault door? Well, fear for one. Fear that even these (insert proctologically appropriate term here) representatives are better than the option. It is exactly akin to trying to get Debbie Lesko Debbie Leskoto address the money laundering of her campaign fund. Will it take a law suit to get her to clear up this matter before the Washington wolves get ahold of it?  This alone will not be enough for me to continue as a PC. Note that I have never been contacted by any power broker wanting to harvest my proxy. Why is that? Oh yes, it is because I was already an outsider PC and not hand solicited and picked by a harvester. The process is subverted and perverted and seriously may not be worth my continuing efforts. I sent the Flakster a note and called his Washington office saying that he is essentially despicable and will NEVER be President of the United States. Now that my blood pressure is up, I will now go outside and chop a cord of wood.

gina swobodaGina Swoboda, Election Integrity: I am pleased to announce that Tristan Manos tristan manos 2017will be taking over MCEI, Maricopa County Election Integrity. Tristan is a Member at Large on the MCR, and a PC in LD24. Tristan will be building a website dedicated to election integrity within Maricopa County, and creating an organization to protect our elections process. Welcome to Monica Yelin,Monica Yelin Member at Large for MCR, who will add her voice to MCEI, directing social media engagement and bringing attention to the importance of maintaining election integrity within Maricopa County.  Our votes are our voices. Thank you to these patriots for protecting our elections process.

we harrisLD20 State Committeeman Wes Harris to Rep Thomas Shope: I see from the various contribuTJ Shopetions to the Brief's that you and a number of others disagree on what type of 'Conservative" you are.  Given that you have also seen it your 'Conservative' duty to hold HB  2119 which would remove the compulsory requirement for all Attorneys at Law to be a member of a 'private' organization called the State Bar Association which, by any other name, is a Guild  in a right to work state, perhaps you can enlighten me on what form your 'Conservatism' and that of the Speakertakes in not allowing your elected colleagues in the House (members elected by We the People) to have a vote on this issue?  If the truth be known, it again sounds like you and J.D. are both practicing "Conservative Cronyism" or put another way, maintaining the control of the establishment.  Please correct me if I am wrong.

Steven Slaton 1st Vice President of AzRA and Chairman Navajo County Republican Committee respond to Rep TJ Shopes response to Archie Dicksion: Mr. Shopes your response to Ms. Dicksion is your boiler plate response you sent me. Here is my response I sent back to you! Representative T.J. SHOPE, This is a well-intended bill to stop the abuse of political parties being control by one individual. There's already governmental Statues governing political parties, therefore you are incorrect on your statement. Furthermore, do you have to be on the floor of the House to Vote? Do the senators have to be on the floor to vote? Does the federal representative have to be on the house floor to vote? Does the federal Senators have to be on the floor to vote? Obviously, the answered is YES! Proxies are already in state statues, we want it to be limited to only two, which helps insure the process to not be corrupted like it has been over the past years! I'm sure you have seen the abuse and corruption with the proxies through the AZGOP! If not you need to WAKE UP and see what's going on! I hope you will reconsider HB 2012 in the House Rules Committee. The vast majority of conservative republicans are for this bill, and many from your district who will be displeased with you for not bring the bill out of committee and let the process go forward. You are a representative employee for the people.

Frank Riggs 4Supt of Public Instruction candidate Frank Riggs: Great to see my campaign signs going up already!  This one is in St. David, way down in Cochise County!  riggs signsI've been crisscrossing our beautiful state: last week to Lake Havasu City to Apache Junction to Prescott Valley, and great weekend "meet and greets" in Oro Valley and San Tan Valley.  This week back to Prescott, to Sierra Vista to speak to the Huachuca Area Republican Women (winners of the AZGOP award for best Republican Women's Club), and to Kingman, Bullhead City and Fountain Hills on St. Patrick's Day. Arizonans are responding to my promise to put more dollars into the classroom while cutting regulation and administration; to put civics back into our schools so that our students graduate high school "citizen-ready;" and to align our career-technical-vocational education programs with the real needs and opportunities in the workforce and close the "skills gap" in our economy. Arizonans know we need a proven leader for Superintendent of Public Instruction, and there's no one more experienced, qualified and prepared to lead our State's schools.  For further information on my detailed plans to reform and improve Arizona K-12 education, and to volunteer, donate and sign my nomination petition please go to
