Attn readers: Briefs will not be posting on Easter Sunday. -ft

Scroll Down To American Freedom By Barbara Espinosa and enjoy all the Easter research she did the past few days.

Ronna_Romney_McDaniel_2018RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel: Look at what President Trump has done in this year. ISIS is on the run. Our military is being funded. He cares about our borders and our laws. He cares about our judges, making sure they abide by our Constitution. And then just look at the deregulation and the tax cuts. Two-thirds of Americans are seeing bigger paychecks because of President Trump. So, every Republican should be looking at what President Trump did. He is a bold leader, and it is going to take a bold vision to win in these mid-terms. And we are going to need to get out there and make our case. We are starting to see those numbers close. The RNC has raised double the DNC. We are in all of these battleground states we know we have to keep these majorities because we have something to fight for. America is on the Comeback and We Cannot Go Back to the Schumer-Pelosi Dark Ages

The Arizona Citizens Defense League (AzCDL) is raffling off the iconic Smith & Wesson Model 29 .44 Mangum revolver with a 6.5" barrel like the one carried by Inspector Harry Callahan in the Dirty Harry movies.  Included with "the most powerful handgun in the world" (circa 1971) is a velvet lined presentation box. $10 per ticket, go to click here to go directly to the raffle website.

Judy Burges 2Senator Judy Burges: Horne News reports that, "Trump’s approval rating hit a 100-day high this month. A total of 42 percent of Americans support Trump and the job he’s doing in the Oval Office. And the sweetest part is the poll was commissioned by the foremost purveyor of fake news: CNN." She says, “Yes, yes, yes I love giving the left heart burn.”  Burges, a long-time West Valley legislator, terms out this year. She has opted not to run for re-election. She has served as both a representative and senator… and definately will be missed when she retires.  Her husband, the late Robert Burges, who was an LD4 Chairman, prior to the boundary changes.

CD 9Dave Giles CD9 candidate Dave Giles: Valentine’s Day Massacre: Six weeks after a horrific shooting claimed 17 lives at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, national media are still featuring stories.  “These atrocities at our schools are not the America I grew up in.  We need to keep our children and teachers safe while supporting the Second Amendment.  I am very proud of these young people,” Dave Giles, CD9 candidate, remarked

ELECTED OFFICIALS COMMENTARY

Martha McSally 3Congressman Martha McSally: Big news. In response to my questioning during last week's House Armed Services Committee hearing, Air Force Secretary Heather Wilson went on the record and committed to keeping the A-10 flying “at least until 2030." This is the first time that any Air Force Secretary has gone on the record publically to support keeping the A-10 fleet operational into the 2030’s. Two years ago I was fighting to prevent the A-10 from being mothballed entirely. Now, the A-10 is an asset the Air Force is committed to keep in the air for the next twelve years, at the least. This commitment is a significant win for military readiness, close air support for troops fighting ISIS and Russian aggression, and Davis-Monthan Air Force Base. Click HERE to learn more. I also successfully included $103 million to restart A-10 wing production in the funding bill that passed the House last week. Click HERE for a list of the wins for Arizona in the bill.

Clint Hickman, #4 Bd of SuperBoard of Supervisors Clint Hickman: Our District is large and I do my best to cover as much ground as possible.  I've enjoyed meeting with neighborhood residents to address a concern in their area and helped appoint two Senators - Sine Kerr and Rick Gray.  I have shared information about county updates and have made myself accessible in Wickenburg, Sun City and Sun City West. I met the new CEO of Nikola Motors, a company who will be bringing jobs to the West Valley and attended a meeting with Maricopa County Industrial Development Authority who promotes economic development through low-cost financing and community investments to learn what new projects may come to the West Valley.  I participate in the El Rio Steering Committee, a planning group who oversees what may happen with on the El Rio and the progress being made.
