What? People Are Changing Their Front Porch Lights From White To Red to show it’s a gun-free home. Why not just write “vulnerable” all over the front door? It’s kind of like labeling schools “gun-free zones” – ft

bruce ashArizona’s NRC State Committeeman Bruce Ash on Facebook: “Dems are real good at creating high cost administrative jobs while starving teachers. Now the Dem controlled "unions" want teachers to strike and screw parents who have no way to take care of their kids when teachers take a paid day off from school.”

john rhodes - graham co chrGraham County Chairman John Duane Rhodes cautions, “There is a scam phone call going on stating it is the Graham County Sheriff’s office. The call states you have missed a court date subpoena for jury duty and threatens you with prosecution. This is a scam soliciting money telling me I was in danger of being arrested. If called report the number to the Sheriff’s office these people are using a drop phone number. (Facebook). Editor’s Note: It isn’t just fake sheriff’s office calls. Arizona residents have gotten similar calls from the IRS, police and fire departments, health related groups and heaven only knows what others. - ft

Robert BranchSuperintendent of Public Instruction candidate Dr Robert Branch will be speaking to the Yavapai County Republican Woman at 5:30 pm., Mon., April 23rd at the Residence Inn, 3599 Lee Circle Prescott AZ 86301. I support President Trump’s agenda, I stand to ‘Dismantle the U.S. Department of Education,’ and our campaign is the campaign to ‘Make Education Great Again!’ Contribute to my Campaign and Sign my nomination petition -

Joe RomackLong-time GOP Activist Joe Romack: If the State of Arizona is really going to deliver a 20% raise to Arizona teachers, the quickest, easiest, cleanest way to do this would be for each school district to rank their teachers and fire the bottom 20%. (Facebook). Editor’s Note: Better yet Joe, let’s rank those high dollar administrators and get rid of the dead wood at the top. Are taxpayers really the best bang for their buck in some of those fancy titles???- ft

Floating the Net: This will bring tears of pride & thanks to your soul for these Great Patriots. A guy had to be 17 to enlist in the military. While it is well known that people younger than 17 served in WWII (& other wars), we'll use 17 as a base... The war ended in 1945 & this is 2017. That means the YOUNGEST surviving WWII veteran would be 88-89. Keep that in mind when you watch the video. Quite a few do not look their age.    Soaring Valor

timothy Schwartz-Timothy LD30 1 VCActivist Timothy Schwartz:To protect your privacy, remote images are blocked in this message. Display images In only FOUR MONTHS of 2018, Democrats have already doubled the number of young voters compared to the ENTIRE YEAR of 2017! Let that sink in... My question is: What are Republicans doing? In all our get-out-the-vote campaigns, we're still focused on the existing base, NOT enlarging that base! We're still preaching to the choir. The Democrats are doing what's needed, they know the 'base' is already established. They're recruiting NEW BLOOD. The sheer numbers of voter registration forms being taken from the election department should be getting our attention. Sadly, it's not...This article from Channel 12 news should help to make the point. teen-voter-registration-numbers-have-almost-doubled-in-arizona-this-year

Mark LewisActivist Marc Lewis to energy leaders: I encourage you to email Governor Ducey's office and ask him to support the temporary tax break for new power plant owners at NGS.The $12 million tax break, will help support $152 million in payroll for Northern AZ communities. We need to support the 852 jobs in Northern AZ to prevent the bankruptcy of the Hopi tribe, and the Town of Page. AZ could lose $12 billion in income if the coal plant closes 25 years early, as planned. Please email the Governor at Ask him to sign H.B. 2003 to save mining jobs. This is one of the last remaining wars on coal left over from the Obama White House years. Tom JenneyAmericas for Prosperity’s Tom Jenney: I'm doing an informal poll to find out how you feel about Governor Doug Ducey's plan to raise teacher pay in Arizona 20 percent by 2020.  His plan is to pay for the raises out of (optimistic) revenue increases from economic growth, and by squeezing other state spending, without raising tax rates.  Reply to with any of the letters below (A, B, C, D or F) and/or comments.
A)  The 20-percent pay hike is a bad idea.  At $9,600 per student per year, there is already
plenty of money in our school system.  But the school districts have failed for years to allocate funds to classroom teachers, by wasting money on administration and facilities.  Even so, the average Arizona teacher makes a salary of $48,000, with benefits taking total compensation to about $60,000.  Really good teachers may deserve to get big raises, but bad teachers need to be fired.  And let's get rid of the union pay scale that pays good, mediocre and bad teachers the same if they have been teaching for the same number of years.
B)   If the Legislature is going to raise teacher pay by 20 percent, that should be accomplished by mandating that school districts reallocate available resources to classrooms by downsizing administration and non-teaching staff, and selling off unproductive facilities (for example: some of our districts have overbuilt and now have seats that are half empty).  As it is, there are
wide differences in how much school districts pay their teachers, even if they have the same revenue per student.
C)   If the Legislature is going to have to cut other areas of state spending to raise teacher pay by 20 percent, education reformers should at least get something good in the bargain, such as preservation of last year's expansion of school-choice
empowerment scholarship accounts (ESAs), which is currently threatened by the presence of Prop 305 on the November ballot.
D)  If the Legislature is tempted to raise the state sales tax by one cent (over a billion dollars a year) to pay for the 20-percent teacher pay raise, then education reformers should get a bunch of good reforms in the bargain.  For starters, the ESA expansion should be protected, without caps on enrollment growth.  We must also have fundamental reforms of school district finances, so that districts no longer have captive property taxpayers and must compete for all of their revenues by attracting students, a concept known as
backpack funding.
F)   Yes, the Legislature should raise state taxes by at least a billion dollars a year to throw at the current district school system, bending over backwards in a fruitless attempt to satisfy the ever-escalating demands of the teacher unions and the district bureaucrats.  – Contact Jenney - Senior Legislative Advisor

brian reillyBrian Reilly, Former LD22P: As Republicans, we hear and talk about “fake” news and censorship. We are appalled by what we see on a daily basis coming from the controlled mass media that is intended to influence our beliefs, our values and ultimately, our votes. We take the position, as Republicans, we’re above these tactics. But is that a valid assumption for us to embrace? As Republicans, we should not drop our guard just because we are congregating with fellow Republicans. There are some Republicans who also act as gatekeepers to formulate and direct their vision of the truth. Sometimes these Republicans call themselves facilitators or moderators. Ultimately, they serve as gatekeepers of their truth. While many see their actions as innocent attempts to streamline the meeting process, others see the erosion of free speech that occurs in this process. I’ve seen it time and time again. A forum for Republican candidates will be held. They are offered the opportunity to state their political platforms. And that’s where the free flow of information ends. The gatekeepers will hand out 3X5 cards for the voters to write questions for the candidates. The gatekeeper reviews the questions and discards the questions that the gatekeeper subjectively determines are not acceptable or too hot for the candidate. One person, the gatekeeper, censors the questions and controls the entire information flow. The process does not give an accurate picture of the Republican candidates. Some would even say that it gives a “fake” image of the candidates. I would encourage all Republican candidates to participate in forums only if live questions are permitted from the audience and not censored by a gatekeeper. The truth suffers when censorship prevails. A Republican candidate who participates in this form of censorship does not deserve our vote.

richard hopkinsLD4 candidate Richard Hopkins: Not All School Districts Are The Same.  LD4 House candidate and 12-year Buckeye Elementary School District (BESD) Governing Board member Richard Hopkins reminds everyone that all school districts are not alike.  Hopkins was selected to the All-Arizona School Board in 2016 as one of the Top 5 board members in the state.  BESD has been near the top of all districts for having the leanest administration the past few years.  None of the administrator contracts have guaranteed raises, they get the same that everyone else in the district gets. In his 12 years, they have given raises 9 of the 12 years, including a 10%, a 5%, and a 4.5% for next year.  100% of Prop 123 money was given to employees as a 4.8% payout, in a separate check just in time for Christmas.  Since that 1.06% state raise only went to a handful of teachers, BESD included every employee, except a very small number with minimum wage increases.  Speaking of minimum wage increases, BESD starts them July 1 before January 1 due date, and increased most hourly employees above minimum wage a commensurate amount.  Every student is provided breakfast & lunch for free every day, including those that attend the free all-day kindergarten.  There is year-round interscholastic sports for both boys and girls.  In every school there is a counselor, psychologist, music/band teacher (1 out of every 6 students of age is in the band),nurse/health aide, librarian, art teacher, and the list goes on and on.  Yes, there are some districts that misspend some of their money, and there are some districts that downright waste their money, just like there are those that spend their money as wisely as BESD.  It is unfair to those of us that excel to be lumped together with those that do not.  You can make a difference and correct this waste by running for your local school board.  This year between 40% and 100% of each board is up for election and most will not see a contested vote.  There are 277 board members in the county & 139 are up for election.  While our county party doesn't want to talk about it, the Democrats are quickly filling the boards with well-funded liberal activists that will do whatever they are told.  The only way to stem the tide is by electing fiscally conservative board members.  If you want to run and need some help, email me at

Dave Giles CD9CD9 candidate Dave Giles: Phoenix police are mourning the loss of K9 Officer Bane who was killed Tuesday following a chase through central Phoenix.  Giles expressed his condolences to the Police Officers on the loss of K9 Officer Bane.  “I have had dogs as pets my entire life.  I know what it is to lose a dog,” Giles stated.  “I brought a rescue Saluki home from Saudi Arabia.  Bear was an amazing dog and lived to be 17.” Two suspects were arrested in connection with that chase: 27-year-old Jairo Contreras Quinter and 24-year-old Laura Dagnino. Ed Montini hit the nail on the head when he described Bane, the three-year-old Belgian Malinois K9 killed Tuesday.  “Jack and Minnie got an extra walk Tuesday night in honor of Bane.  Jack and Minnie got an extra walk because Bane reminds us – again – that dogs are better than us. If you have a dog you already know this.”
