Water Is The Essence Of Life and it’s just as precious for Arizona’s wildlife. For that reason, the Arizona Game and Fish Department has trucked or airlifted about 600,000 gallons of precious water to catchments throughout the state since January. And trail cameras tell the tale of this important work with footage of elk, deer, bighorn sheep and countless other species leaning over for a refreshing drink at one of 3,000 catchments maintained by the department. “Water catchments don’t discriminate - they’re used by all wildlife from big game to some of the smallest squirrels, lizards, birds, bats and even bees,” said Joseph Currie,  AZGFD Habitat Planning program manager, who oversees the department’s water catchment efforts. “Our crews typically stop hauling water in August after monsoon rains refill much of our water catchments. However, due to this extreme drought, we haven’t stopped and anticipate having to haul more than 1.5 million gallons of water this year.” To help defray rising costs of providing life-sustaining water for Arizona’s wildlife, AZGFD recently began its “Water for Wildlife” donation campaign to give the public an opportunity to support its efforts by texting SENDWATER (one word) to 41444 from any smartphone. Donate here After doing so, a link with the department’s logo will be sent to the phone to complete the donation. Funding raised ensures that the department can still deliver water to remote regions of the state and help mitigate population fluctuations caused by severe lingering droughts.“Historic drought periods such as this one were typically followed by massive die-offs of wildlife,” Currie said. “By hauling water, we are able to stabilize those populations, keeping them alive and out of urban areas in search of water.” While AZGFD partners with many great wildlife groups, the department bears much of the costs to haul water to and maintain about 1,000 of its own catchments statewide, some of which must be filled with water flown in by helicopter. Additionally, the department also maintains an additional 1,000 Bureau of Land Management and 1,000 U.S. Forest Service water catchments. See or use your smartphone to text SENDWATER (one word) to 41444.

Zack Taylor, Chairman This OP-Ed is correct and mirrors what NAFBPO has been saying for years. Illegal Aliens do not have the same due process rights as citizens when the alien is in Immigration Proceedings. The narrative pursued in the mainstream media has been intentional misinformation to mislead the American public who are emotionally sensitive about rights. The only privilege an alien has inside the United States is what Congress chooses to grant them. Please read this article, retain it and then distribute it widely.  You probably won't see this in the visual media, ever. supreme-court-says-foreign-nationals-have-no-due-process-rights-here

Former AZGOP Chairman Tom Morrissey: Zack Taylor is a fellow patriot and retired federal law enforcement officer who I have come to know as someone who speaks openly and honestly about the misinformation we get continuously from the Left, the Establishment Elite, and the mainstream media. I pass this along because of the fact that I see our great nation slowly slipping away from that which was what our founders gave us and so much blood has been spilled to preserve.

AZGOP Secretary Gabby S. Mercer: I have submitted my resignation as Secretary of AZ GOP effective immediately. I wonder if AZGOP will let you know. I am just the secretary in name only and I do not see the point of me just wasting my time with the Establishment. I want to be free to openly support/endorse candidates I have personally vetted. We are planning to move to Maricopa County and neither my husband nor I ran for our precinct re-election. Too much going on in our personal lives at the moment, as soon as we move and get settled we will re-consider running for precinct committeemen once again in whichever LD we end up in. Thank you for all your tremendous contribution to the conservative cause and for publishing truth and holding the RINOs accountable!

Gila County Republican Chairman Gary Morris: There is a nasty story developing out of the Payson Roundup newspaper regarding Congresswomen Martha McSally. She (McSally) requested I assemble a private meeting for her of Republican party leadership in the county, along with elected Republican officials (and candidates), and business leaders. In addition to the elected officials and candidates, we had executive board leadership from the Gila County Republican Committee (I chair), the Rim Country Republican Club, and the Payson Tea Party among the 27 attendees. I invited the Rim Country Chamber of Commerce Executive Board members to represent the Payson business community leadership. The Executive Director of the Chamber and one Board member attended. There were no news releases, nor was any media invited. This was to be a private meeting. As we were assembling at our Republican headquarters (not a public venue), a newspaper reporter for the Payson Roundup newspaper arrived. I advised her that this was a private gathering and ask her to leave.   Congresswoman McSally offered to do an interview with her after the meeting... which the reporter declined. The reporter returned to her office and wrote McSally-Kicks-Reporter-From-Meeting very much out of context article. The newspaper did not contact me, nor Congresswoman McSally for any comment before the article was published.

Below is my statement to the General Manager of the newspaper which was sent after the article was published: “The Congresswoman requested a meeting with Republican party leadership, elected Republican officials (and cadidates) along with business leadership. It was more of a strategy session and not a campaign event. I'm sure that if the Democrat candidate for U.S. Senate Kyrsten Sinema requested a similar strategy meeting she would have the same request.”

Every organization, political or not, has the right to ask an uninvited individual to leave a private meeting. Reportedly, The Arizona Republic newspaper picked up the story and is doing something with it. I have not received a call from the Republic, nor did the Roundup place a call to me for comment before the article was written. Note that only the Chamber Executive Board members were invited. All the attendees RSVP’d their planned attendance. The newspaper did not.Would President Trump call this Fake News?

Elected Officials Commentary

Phoenix Councilman Sal DiCiccio: City of Phoenix sells 10 lots appraised over $700,000 in one of the hottest areas in Phoenix for $50, their developer. $5,000 per lot. This is just wrong. This is not fair to you and your family who have to pay the taxes for these insider giveaways. This is not a Republican or Democrat issue, this is an insider deal and these insider deals have no party affiliation. If you are wanting to know why I think city management is on the take, this is it and why I think it is time to replace the city manager. These cozy deals are definitely not protecting you and your family. City manager Ed Zuercher strongly recommended this sale The area: between I-10 and Van Buren from 7th to 16th St. The kicker? The appraisal is OVER one year old and property values are skyrocketing. Yes, the city manager used an outdated appraisal. Why??? I am demanding that the City Manager stop this deal and send it to the Attorney General for review to determine whether or not this violates the Gift Clause in our state constitution. - Sal DiCiccio -City of Phoenix Councilman, District 6 602-262-7491

Rene Lopez, Chandler City Council candidate: I’m proud to share that last week I was appointed to be the new Vice Mayor of Chandler! I was appointed to succeed my good friend and colleague Nora Ellen.I can’t begin to say how honored I am and how much I’m looking forward to serving Chandler residents in this capacity. I also appreciate my colleagues supporting me for this role, and I’m looking forward to working with Mayor Tibshraeny and the Council to advance the city forward in this new position. See more about the appointment this article featured on – Rene Lopez – Vice Mayor of Chandler.
