AZGOP Has OUTDONE Themselves For The Mandatory Meeting - Take a look
Those Trying To Obtain Enough State Committeeman Signatures to get their issues brought to the floor at tomorrow’s AZGOP Mandatory meeting need to remember that at least 20 percent of state committeemen, representing at least four counties at the meeting, have to sign the petition to get an issue on the floor. The AZGOP has 1,245 state committeemen statewide.
Hmm. Word Has It That State Committee Members Are Wondering about the alleged omission of the Bylaws Consent Calendar in the Call letter for the Jan 27 AZGOP Mandatory meeting. They are concerned that they cannot vote on it, because it was not properly included in the Call.
To Those Who Called Asking For A List Of Candidates running for open positions at the AZGOP meeting tomorrow - Briefs request a list of candidates/opening from AZGOP headquarters early Tuesday morning, but doesn’t have a response at post time.
Get Well Wishes To AZGOP Secretary Gabby Mercer’s husband Ted who has been released from the hospital and is on the mend at home.

Notes From Readers

CD6 Member-at-Large Ren Ramsey and Chairman of the Committee to Protect Citizen Liberties: As a giant scandal is brewing over the illegal use of national security assets against US Citizens by the Obama Administration it’s become clear Arizona must make statement. President Trump chose AZ for initiating his bid for the Presidency. His earliest supporters were AZGOP leaders including, Treasurer Jeff DeWit, former Sheriff Joe Arpaio, former Governor Jan Brewer, and Legislator Phil Lovas. His campaign team won Trump’s first primary in Nevada and were a major factor in Trump's victory. As a result, Arizona and its campaign team have a special place in the President’s thoughts. When it became apparent that elements within National Security were conducting a campaign against our President, it’s not surprising to realize team member were also targeted. Our State lies on the frontline against hostile elements. Our party has a special duty to represent its members and support its leaders against all enemies, foreign and domestic. It is imperative this party makes a statement that it will not tolerate the gross criminal misuse and persecution of national security against our President, his staff, his campaign team, or any US citizen.
We plan to bring this resolution to the floor ensuring the country knows this Republican Party will not stand for such tyrannical activity. Therefore:
Resolution to Condemn Abuse and Corruption of Power at DOJ/FBI
· WHEREAS the people have rights to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, which rights should not be violated, and that no Warrants should issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized,
· WHEREAS, certain officers within the DOJ/FBI, by unlawfully exploiting FISA powers, did corruptly search, seize, and disseminate the papers/effects of US Citizens from the Campaign Team of Donald J Trump for President, including President Donald J Trump,
· WHEREAS, we find that certain executive officers of the United States government endeavored to corrupt and pervert our Presidential elections and undermine the Presidency of Donald Trump, and corrupted and abused powers entrusted to them for the defense of the Constitution of the United States,
· WHEREAS, the Arizona State Republican Party is obligated to fully support our Party, platform, candidates, and members, and are sworn to uphold the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic, and today we are facing a great crisis and betrayal within the highest levels of government,
· BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, the Arizona GOP demands the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence release its findings on these crimes, it censures individuals who are found to have involvement in this corruption, it demands the Arizona Attorney General investigate the actions of Arizona persons involved in the aforementioned crimes, and it demands that powers amended to FISA since September 11, 2001 be removed.

Russell Sias. La Paz County Chairman: We Are Being Duped, Part 12 - Received several phone calls yesterday. As a result, I discovered that Matt Kenny, supported by a “none-of-his-business” parliamentarian, the party attorney, and possibly others of the cabal, have decided that there are perhaps as many as three violations of ARS codes in my bylaws proposal. Therefore, they decided that we, as a body, could not see the bylaws proposal, and so it would not be part of our call letter (as required by our current bylaws) for what is supposed to be OUR Jan 27 meeting. If the cabal had included this bylaw proposal in the call letter, and then permitted an ensuing report and/or debate/ discussion by all of us, I would have no problem with their issues. We could have heard from the attorney or perhaps our none-of-his-business parliamentarian about the legality of these supposed “violations” of ARS codes. We might have even had the opportunity to accept or reject, or perhaps, as a body, to even strike or amend those issues that apparently have been identified by this none-of-his-business parliamentarian.
Why do I identify our parliamentarian as a none-of-his-business parliamentarian? Because he is participating in something that is actually none of his business, at least not at the point of whether the submission was done properly or should be included in the secretary’s call letter. The submission was done according to our bylaws. Had he, and others, like Matt Kenny and our attorney, according to the phone calls I was involved in, had followed our bylaw submission rules, they would have been included in your call letter.
If, in our Saturday meeting, they wanted to object, fine. BUT, we, as a body, are not going to be given the opportunity to even consider them. Tomorrow is the time to decide whether you think this party is ours – or theirs. It is time to reclaim or cancel it. If it is theirs, frankly, I would vote to cancel it. One more thing, printing bylaw suggestions or resolutions in an miniature, unreadable sized font, should be beneath even those whom manipulate our party!
Make no mistake. Tomorrow is the day we either reclaim our party, or turn it over to the cabal. Your choice. I have made my best effort to return control of our party to the registered Republicans in our state. Now, it’s your turn. What you decide tomorrow is up to you.

Candidates Are Welcome to e-mail their announcements and a photo to Briefs at or for posting so readers can learn who the candidates are. Editor’s Note: Please keep announcement at 400 words. Longer announcements subject to editing to conform. - ft.
Anthony Kern will run for State House, Paul Boyer for State Senate, in LD20 - Will preserve the district’s influence and run the strongest slate in 2018: While each had originally planned to run for the State Senate seat left open by Kimberly Yee, Anthony Kern has decided to remain in the State House so that the party can avoid a potentially divisive primary and focus on the 2018 general election instead. Kern has also been asked to remain in the State House by a number of members who wanted him to run for a leadership position. “It would be a shame for our district to lose the knowledge and influence that Paul and I have at the Legislature, and I want to listen to those who have asked me to remain in the State House.” said Kern. “I appreciate Anthony making this move and agree with him that it will be in the best interests of our district and state. I look forward to continuing my work in the State Senate and think adding him to the leadership in the State House would also be great for our district.” said Boyer. Together, Kern and Boyer have been a major part of Arizona’s economic growth, increased school funding and improved results, and both have strong pro-family and pro-taxpayer records. – Contact Constantin Querard (480)703-8145
