Bruce Piepho - 2Bruce M Piepho, Cochise County State Committeeman and Precinct Committeeman: My posting in regards to the Navajo county brouhaha 4-17-18 Briefs started a landslide of email correspondence. Jill Skaufel and I found common ground. We both support Trump and believe Dr. Ben Carson as good a person as he is – Carson would not have the strength of Trump to fight off the Deep State. She must have discussed our email conversation, as soon I received from Jim Vance Jim Vancean email. He noted that Steve and Karen are good people. But Mr Vance noted - “They started speaking for the NCRC and running off and terminating people without the consent of the whole.” And wonders of all wonders Vance sent me the defendants' motion to dismiss from Hunter Lewis law firm. And Jim asked me: “If you think about it, would you like to be the Chairman of a committee that nearly 80% of the committee didn't support you?” A very good question and I would not. Vance also attached; Case No. CV2018-00011MOTION TO DISMISS COMPLAINT UNDER RULE 12(b)(6) and (7) It states in part: Rule 12(b)(6), Defendants hereby move this Court to dismiss the Complaint brought by Plaintiffs. Plaintiffs failed to state a claim for which relief can be granted. This complaint should be dismissed because NCRC bylaws allowed for the removal of Plaintiffs, and this Court should follow precedence and allow Legislative deference and not interfere in this political process.

The portion that I had to disagree was a discussion on Removal Allowed Under NCRC Bylaws.
I have a copy of the Navajo County Republican Committee (NCRC) by-laws; dated January 5, 2017; and yes, the by-laws do allow for removal. Yes they had the necessary support for a Special Meeting. The removal meeting held was illegal per the by-laws. Conveniently ignored was the fact the by-laws only allow four type of meetings; Statutory, Mandatory, Special and monthly. None of those four types of meetings occurred for the alleged removal. Vance sent a letter calling for the meeting.

The by-laws do not allow the NCRC members to call a meeting to conduct officer removal proceedings unless done by the process of a Special Meeting procedure. The officer removal meeting was not a Special Meeting called according to the NCRC by-laws. The defendants completely ignored selected portions of the NCRC by-laws. That is a lie by omission. Everyone; we NEED to speak the truth!!

tom morrisseyTom Morrissey Past Chairman AZ GOP: We were in Brawley California last weekend where I was invited to be the keynote speaker at the annual dinner for The Imperial Valley Police Memorial Association. To those who believe that California is lost to Liberal irrationality, think again. I say this with great certainty because the people we met while there were the exact opposite of the Leftists we see and hear on the "traditional" media, every day.  Not only are they not like those who hate our country, rather, the people of Brawley are patriots who enthusiastically prayed before the meal and stood straight, strong and proud, saluting our flag at the presentation of the Colors. During my speech the whole gathering broke into cheers when I talked about Sheriff Joe and President Trump. As a retired law enforcement officer I felt so very much at home among the many who also served in that capacity.  As a Conservative, I felt encouraged by the spirit and love of country that filled that room. The highlight of the evening, for me, was when former Congressman Duncan Hunter (guesting as auctioneer) auctioned a copy of "The Way Of The Shadow Wolves" which was personally signed by Steven Seagal, Sheriff Joe and me.  Proud to say that it brought $200 for their fund.  Brawley is a part of a growing movement in California that is rejecting the ideals and ideas of Nancy Pelosi, Diane Feinstein and Jerry Brown, whose world is apparently blowing up in their faces. Stay strong.

Martha McSally 3Congresswoman Martha McSally is introducing a resolution in Congress to honor Tammie Jo Shults, the Southwest Pilot and fellow female trailblazer aviator who heroically landed a damaged 737 Boeing aircraft, saving the lives of nearly every single 149 souls on board. Before she started flying for Southwest in 1993, Shults was one of the first female fighter jet pilots for the U.S. Navy. Although she was never allowed to fly in combat, Captain Shults was an aggressor and instructor and her 10 years of military experience equipped her to handle the emergency safely and with impressive calmness. “Captain Tammie Jo Shults is nothing sort of an American hero. The Air Force and the Navy made a big mistake when they decided not to let her fly in combat, but her courage and her calmness under pressure from all of her years of fighter pilot experience is a reminder that the airplane doesn’t care if you are a man or a woman as long as you have the qualifications and the training to complete the mission – and she did that yesterday. Not only did she pave the way for women like me in aviation, but husbands, wives, mothers, fathers, sons, and daughters are alive today because of her. I’m introducing this resolution to commend her for her service to our nation—in both military and commercial cockpits,” said McSally. McSally’s resolution will commend Shults and the crew of Southwest Flight 1380 for their display of courage and heroism that saved 148 lives; and praises Shults not only for her commitment to the safety of the passengers on her plane, but for paving the way for women in military and commercial aviation. McSally discussed her admiration for Shults yesterday on Fox News with Shannon Bream, Click HERE and explained how the rigorous training she received in Navy as a fighter pilot prepared her for the Southwest emergency.

Dave Giles CD9CD9 candidate Dave Giles: Barbara Bush was often called irreverent, playful and fiercely loyal. “To us, family means putting your arms around each other and being there.”  “I married the first man I ever kissed. When I tell this to my children, they just about throw up.”  Giles said, “I understand why her family and close friends so cherish Mrs. Bush. My mother, Jennie, was much like Barbara Bush.  “Cherish your human connections - your relationships with friends and family,” Mrs. Bush admonished.  Mrs. Bush passed on the 65th anniversary of her daughter, Robin's death from leukemia. Former President George, her husband of 73 years, was by her side when she passed.

Frank RiggsSupt Of Public Instruction Candidate Frank Riggs: The security of our schools, and the safety of all school personnel and students, is an urgent concern given recent events. As a former police officer, I believe I have a unique perspective when it comes to keeping our kids safe. After serving as a military policeman and military police investigator in the Army, I became a police officer and worked as a patrolman, criminal investigator and crime prevention specialist.  On several occasions, it was my sworn duty to confront, disarm and arrest dangerous felons and active shooters. It was my work with young offenders, many of whom came from broken homes and dysfunctional families, that made me realize, as Frederick Douglass said centuries ago, "It's easier to build strong children than to repair broken men." Education is the best and most cost-effective form of prevention. That realization motivated me to run for my hometown public school district board, where I was elected and served five years on the board, including two terms as the president. Governor Ducey's proposed school safety plan calls for the Arizona Department of Education to provide grants for more school resource officers and requires the Department of Public Safety (DPS) to work with school districts and local law enforcement to develop school safety standards to make our campus facilities more secure. I believe my extensive law enforcement background, and experience as a "cop" and first responder, ideally prepare me to help lead these initiatives. There is nothing more important than the safety of our children.  Parents deserve to know their children are protected.  As Arizona's next Superintendent of Public Instruction, with a deep background as both an education and law enforcement leader, I will never lose sight of this most solemn of responsibilities.
