4-21-18 Briefs

Diane Douglas Supt of EdSupt of Public Instruction Diane Douglas: Following the decision made yesterday evening by teachers to strike next Thursday, Superintendent of Public Instruction Diane Douglas has implored teachers not to walk out of their classrooms if their salary demands are not met by that time. “I have long been a vocal proponent of providing teachers with significant pay raises,” Douglas said. “No one has more respect for the jobs that teachers do, which is why I proposed a viable, meaningful increase in their salaries last year, as well as sustainable funding specifically for them and school facilities. But if the teachers do not give the leadership at the Capitol the time to implement their salary increase, I’m afraid that striking will only hurt students and parents, while simultaneously setting back their own cause. I know that if we put the students first, we will be able to resolve all of our issues, and that is the role the Arizona Department of Education and I plan on playing until this issue is resolved.”

In preparation of a potential walk out on Thursday, the Department will issue guidance in the coming days from program areas such as School Finance, Health and Nutrition and Assessment. The Department is already working with schools that are deciding to remain open to provide free and reduced meals, as well as provide guidance regarding the legal amount of annual instructional hours necessary for schools that close. “Since my first priority is the children,” Douglas continued, “in the unfortunate event that the teachers proceed to strike on Thursday, I’m calling on the communities, businesses and faith-based organizations near the schools that decide to close to please make contingencies on behalf the students that do not have anywhere else to go, especially the children of single parents. It’s an absolute shame that it has come to this, but now that we are all in this situation, I hope that the teachers and Capitol leadership can rebuild trust and come together to resolve this matter as quickly as possible for the sake of our students.” Douglas will also present more guidance and provide an update at the upcoming State Board of Education meeting on Monday regarding a potential walkout.

Activist Jim Alberts: McSally honors SWA pilot Shults!  Martha McSallyMartha McSally 3 why don't you take the time to push for an investigation into the Clintons and do your job the you were sent to DC for. Mrs Shults trained to do her job and did an outstanding job, we need the same action from you.

Activist Douglas F Pike: I think it should be passed on to the parents that the districts are paying the teachers while they strike. Does that mean it’s a strike? And does that mean public funds are supporting it?

Believe NOTHING unless you have seen, heard, or experienced it personally, for yourself. There are villains on every corner of the square. Trump is the clarion voice in the wilderness. Big government, fake news, destructive banking, insurance and investment enterprises are all rigged and manipulated – against YOU! They cannot take your mind, experiences, education or memories from you. Be wise. Pray. There is a God. Reach out to Him. He will take care of you amongst the circus surrounding you. Steven Slaton to Arizona Commission on Judicial Conduct: Our case was reviewed by a Family Law Commissioner / Pro Tempore Judge David J. Martin. We request remedy in our case to be heard by an elected judge. Our due process was denied by this judge. The clerk’s offices never notify us who the judge was assigned to our case, and we never had our right for a change of this judge. If you need our filed case and witness contact information I am glad to send it to you. - Steven Slaton

The Holland law group is misrepresenting themselves stating in their motion that they, the Holland law group, is representing the plaintiffs. This miscarriage of who they represent needs to be reprimanded by the court. The Plaintiffs are excising our rights as “Pro Se”.

Furthermore, the plaintiffs in this case are asking for the court to RULE ON “The Rule of law” as well as following of legal bylaws governing an organization.

Governing Bylaws, for organizations this power is not unilateral or absolute; it must be exercised under the authority of Bylaws and followed.

Furthermore, the defendant’s point of conflict involves an intrusion of ultra vires, by not following state statues and the Navajo County Republican Committee Bylaws.

You’ll see Mr. Vance’s e-mail (included in the brief filed) elucidation on not willing to follow Navajo County Republican Committee Bylaws governed by State Statues.

Restoring the status quo ante to the Plaintiffs, along with the responsibilities over the Navajo County Republican Committee and the Navajo County Republican Committee Bank Account #4127901541 with a balance of $2,125.61 without further interference.

The court never gave us a reason for the dismissal. Furthermore, the office of the clerk after many phone calls and personal appearance to the clerk’s office continued to not give the plaintiffs the Judges name till the day after of the dismissal. They just kept telling Mr. Slaton no Judge was assigned. Which come to find out this Judge Pro-Tempore Martin was assigned to the case back in February.

Plaintiffs will file a complaint with Arizona State Attorney General on this case and the Due process the Plaintiffs did not received in this matter. – Steven Slaton

Dave Giles CD9CD9 candidate Dave Giles: Beginning April 19th, most flights out of Sky Harbor Airport will return to the flight paths used prior to September 2014, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.  “As a licensed pilot, I feel very strongly that the FAA erred when they changed the flight paths,” Giles remarked. “Today’s changes are the first step in an agreement reached last year between the FAA, the city of Phoenix and a group of historic neighborhoods.” The neighborhoods took the FAA to court in 2015 after the agency implemented new flight paths aimed at improving safety.  Brent Kleinman, Encanto-Palmcroft Historic Preservation Association President, said the changes implemented this week will address the noise concerns his neighborhood have fought since 2014. The Court ruled the FAA acted arbitrarily when it implemented the flight paths that increased air traffic over some neighborhoods by 300 percent.
